The wait on a Friday (the one right after Labor Day) was about 40 minutes at 9 in the morning. However, we were able to place a to go order and eat it at their outdoor tables. It was ready in 10 minutes! I'd recommend this strategy for anyone else turned off by the wait time or in a bit of a time crunch. We really enjoyed all of our entrees. They were made to order and the ingredients were high quality. The portions were a decent size and we all left feeling full but not over-stuffed. The staff were nice and accommodating as well, making our drinks before our food was ready so we could enjoy them while waiting. Have wanted to try this place for a long while. There's always a line waiting due to the face that it is a very small restaurant, but they pack you in tight so no secret conversations. It's pretty small but it had a nice bar that added seats and it overlooks a display case of pretty pastries. The food was ready quickly with friendly staff at pickup. The food we got was excellent! I got the Green St. Breakfast Sandwich, my husband got the Farm Special and we shared the MC French Toast. The sandwich was good but the lemon vinaigrette on the greens part was overpowering to me. I added bacon to mine which helped to balance it out. The potatoes it came with though were AMAZING! They were tender and seasoned perfectly. Definitely some of the best I've had. My husband also enjoyed his meal and said everything was seasoned nicely as well. That French toast was definitely a guilty pleasure. We stopped on a Sunday and I'm so glad we did because that's donut hole day and we decided to try them and OmG they were amazing the day we went they were Cinnamon Toast Crunch donuts that were to die for. By the way - if you're not getting a muffin, cinnamon bun, or baked good while here you're doing it wrong! Cold brew, cinnamon bun and chocolate chip pancakes were standouts. If I'm being super picky - the Turkish Eggs special lacked some variety of flavor/textures and the Pulled Pork Omelete Special needs a little heat. Although it did end up being closer to 40, we had a nice time chatting with other patrons while we awaited our table. The restaurant is quaint, only a few tables and a few counter spaces. When we sat down, service was efficient and friendly. Food did take a little longer than I had expected, but by no means was it drastically long. We got a few things off the menu to truly get a good tasting of their style. What I notice most about this place is that they truly have a style. Unlike most of the other Cape breakfast joints, Ann & Fran"s shows off with creativity in their dishes. You aren't just getting the same old dish you can get down the road for a shorter wait time. What we got: The cereal milk bread pudding. Incredible. Fantastic. Can't get anything else like it on the Cape, maybe anywhere. 10/10. Must get if it's on the menu. Gogi Waffle. Also delicious. The scallion waffle was perfectly prepared and the five spice pork was incredibly tender and flavorful. Every ingredient on this dish played an important role and it all worked together. Kitchen sink: not my fave. The confit bacon was a tad chewier than I find enjoyable and it was lacking a little salt. I found the potatoes to be cut far too large for this dish and it could have used more gravy. To be fair, I wouldn't have chosen this dish anyways, but my father did. We were in the area visiting for a few days after the Christmas holiday and love to frequent small businesses rather than chains and this place stood out to me for the great reviews and because it features the names of my nana and aunt! This is definitely a great place to come for breakfast/brunch. We originally came for breakfast but the wait was so long, we ended up having brunch. No matter what the wait, do NOT go across the street to the Dunkin' Donuts to wait. The service is so bad over there, all the angry people waiting will ruin your day. So back to Ann & Fran. The food was very good overall. The lobster benny was on a large piece of brioche bread that was a little too thick. It kind of pulled away from the flavor of the lobster and hollandaise. There was also a corn relish on it that was kinda odd. The hollandaise was made in house and was top notch! The omelette I had was filled with Mediterranean veggies. It was pretty good but I wouldn't order it again. The mix of veggies, although it sounds good, really didn't work for me. I had a side of sausage, along with two other people at our table and we all agreed the flavor of the sausage links were very good. The blueberry pancakes came in a huge portion! A generous amount of blueberries and butter came on the top. The flavor was extraordinary! I would say the best we ever had. If you like blueberry pancakes, this is your spot. The fourth person in our group had the standard breakfast, eggs, sausage, home fried potatoes and toast. The only things that stood out was the sausage and the (I'm betting) was a homemade jam for the toast. It was very good with just the right balance of sweet and fruit. The place was very small, hence the wait. The service once we got in was good but I felt like the kitchen must be small for the amount of orders they're trying to push through. We were on Cape Cod for a mini break. We're lucky to be staying just down the street from Ann & Fran's. We got there early enough so that we didn't have a super long wait . Maybe 20mins for a table for 2. The hostess was actively managing the wait list so that was a smooth experience. The interior is very well decorated, seating is well packed in but never felt cramped. My husband opted for a grilled blueberry muffin. Both excellent. I got gluten free toast which was served with a homemade strawberry jam (more of a coulis) Nice touch! We also ordered cold brew which was decent. (I was torn to order the egg frittata sandwich which sounded so good). The couple next to us ordered the special French-toast and I was so jealous. A friend recommended Ann & Fran and previous Yelp reviews confirmed we needed to go. Read about their Corned Beef Hash so had to try it (I'm on a quest to find the best CBH everywhere I go). OMG the hash Benny (see photo) was incredible. The hash was flavorful but not over-powered by any one spice (garlic, onion, mustard, etc). The bread on which it was served was delicious. One egg was perfectly runny, the second a bit over but I can forgive a small hiccup. The Hollandaise was delicious and didn't have that pre-made flavor or consistency. As close to perfection as possible. Wife had the Brunchy BLT and also loved it. Said the pepper bacon added a dimension that really rounded out the flavor profiles. We arrived at 1:15 or so and were seated immediately (they close at 2:00). We understand why people wait in line to get into this small restaurant. This is my new favorite breakfast place on the Cape. I went for the first time this year and it displaced my previous number one place that is a block away. It was a wait to get table but more than worth it!
