BEWARE OF THIS DOCTOR!!! Took my 4 year old daughter to Valley Hospital with a cut over her eye from a fall. Cozzone was the "on call" doctor. He was there for 10 minutes, put a few stitches above her eye, complained half the time about moving out of his Franklin Lakes home, and left. His billing office sent a $10K bill and called it a "complicated surgery." Really? 10 minutes done in the ER is a complicated surgery? Then, my insurance paid the guy HALF and he had the audacity to back bill the rest of it to us. What a piece of crap. 10 minutes of work on a 4 year old. GFY Cozzone. read more

After being diagnosed with cancer and going through 5 months of chemotherapy I was recommended to go to the Breslow Center for my reconstruction. Honestly it was the best thing that ever happened to me. Dr. Farkas from my first consultation made me feel comfortable and I knew from the start he was an extraordinary, compassionate and kind Doctor. And I cannot say enough kind words about Madison Goldberg (Physician Assistant) Cheri Montalto (Patient Care Coordinator) and the rest of the entire staff at this facility. Let me start by saying my case was more to the extreme because my body had a very difficult time with infections and even rejected my expanders so I had to opt for the Diep Flap surgery which is an excellent alternative for women who may encounter the same problem as me or just simply do not want a foreign object in their body. They build your breast out of your own fat from your stomach. Dr.Farkas is an expert in his field with the Diep Flap surgery and mine went very well. It is a ten-hour surgery and I spent a few days in the hospital and went home. The staff called me just to see how I was doing even over the weekend, which is very rare to find a staff that truly cares for you and they were there for me 7 days a week. Something I will never forget. Their attention to ensuring my well -being was exceptional. After healing from the surgery and a few months passed I had two more reconstruction surgeries. These two surgeries were to make my breast the size and shape that I wanted. Dr. Breslow listened to what I was looking for with my final reconstruction and I must say I was more than pleased with the outcome. Let me add that I had a lot of radiation which you learn makes things even harder for your reconstruction doctor, therefore I had a second operation on my right breast which is the one that had received so much radiation. Doctor Farkas removed damaged radiated tissue and performed fat graphing and could give me a breast that looked normal and healthy. I could not have been any happier with my results. He told me from the start that he would do whatever it took for me to be happy with what I saw looking back at me in the mirror and that he fulfilled. Through these surgeries I encountered I could always count on Madison Goldberg to be there for me. Whether it was checking on me in the recovery room, my hospital room or at Dr. Farkas's office she was a constant in my life and I will always remember her brilliance in her field, her kindness and compassion. My completion was with my 3 D nipple tattooing. Then ladies I went and got my life back. And what a great feeling it was. And you will too! The Breslow team were simply compassionate outstanding people that always went above and beyond for me. Prepping for surgery making sure all angles were covered in preparing me both mentally and physically. Cheri endlessly working with my insurance company always making sure everything was in order. You have no idea how important it is to have someone like Cheri in your corner doing all this tedious work for you while you are preparing for your surgery. It's just one less thing to stress over. The Breslow Center itself is a state of the art facility that is impeccable and clean, the minute you walk in and the front receptionist says hello you feel at home. This entire team became like a second family to me, we had some tears along the way but we had so much laughter and support I cannot even begin to describe how wonderful this group of people are. I recommend to any of you women going through this to go to the Breslow Center for your reconstruction it will truly be the best decision you will ever make! read more

VERY UNHAPPY! It has been a couple of years since Dr. Breslow performed my breast augmentation and, I am very disappointed with my experience and the results. Prior to having my surgery, I met with Dr. Breslow several times to take photos and discuss my options. My second visit, Dr. Breslow pointed out that my breasts were not symmetrical, and we discussed the advantages of saline implants to correct the symmetry. Specifically, with saline implants you can adjust the sizing (cc's) in each implant to achieve as close to symmetrical breasts as possible. The day of my surgery, I was anxious, nervous and so excited. When Dr. Breslow came in to prep me, it was as if he did not remember who I was at all. When I mentioned the symmetry, and asked if he was going to adjust the sizing of both implants to address the symmetry, Dr. Breslow had no idea what I was talking about, and even responded with "was there as issue with symmetry?". He then proceeded to look at my chart with a confused look, and said don't worry everything will be taken care of. This did concern me, but I figured as the expert, he knew what he was doing. Surgery seemed to go well, and the healing process was better than expected. It wasn't until about a week later, I looked at the breast implant card and noticed the cc's were the same for both breasts. This was not what we agreed upon!! The whole point of my choosing the saline was to adjust the cc's to help correct the symmetry. NOW, my breasts look horrible, and are not symmetrical at all. It looks as though Dr. Breslow made the pocket of one breast larger than the other, and one breast is noticeably lower and larger than the other. I look deformed and It is very difficult to conceal under clothing. I have to wear a extra padding in my bra on one side to even out the one breast, which does not help. When I voiced my concern to Dr. Breslow, he pretty much dismissed me and made me feel very uncomfortable. He blamed it on my anatomy and said 'quote' if you are looking for perfection, you will never get it, "end quote". It was very awkward for me because I could tell he was getting annoyed and upset and he had no interest in hearing me out or working with me. I was so embarrassed and felt very disrespected. It was at that moment when I realized that Dr. Breslow is not a stand up surgeon, and takes no pride in his artistry. He manipulates you into believing the issue is in your head and not the botched up procedure he performed. I am ashamed of my breasts and live with more insecurity than before I had the surgery. I have no choice but to live with this as I cannot afford to have another surgery. This whole experience has traumatized me and I am very depressed as a result. My breasts are deformed! read more

One step into Dr. Breslow's office and you won't want to turn back! I came here a few weeks ago looking to get some information about cosmetic/plastic surgery. I did some research on RealSelf and decided to stop in. I was nervous at first and as a female, there's always an uncomfortable vibe or "elephant in the room" discussing your wants and needs as well as getting to know the doctor who you will be trusting your body and health with. You want perfection and high quality work. I was waiting in the waiting room after being greeted by Dr. Breslow's amazing staff and I felt cozy and welcome. While I waited, I was reading some brochures and looking at transformation photos on my iPhone. I was called back into the office and I was given a tour of the facility. Immediately as I walked through, it smelled clean and the interior had a very modern look. All the consultation rooms and offices were clean and I looked at all the equipment in the office. The Cool Sculpting machine and the 3D imagine machine were really cool and are State of the Art machines. While researching plastic surgeons in my area (since I plan on getting a procedure down in the next year or so) I noticed that Dr. Breslow was one of few doctors that had this 3D imaging technology. I was fascinated, why wouldn't anyone else have this in their office?! I met Dr. Breslow and he was very friendly and welcoming. He didn't rush me with any questions and I felt comfortable getting to know him and the staff. While I was leaving, I was also shown the medi spa. It was really nice and certainly looked relaxing. Who knows-- maybe I even found my next facial spa! They even do microdermabrasion! I highly recommend Dr. Breslow and his amazing staff. I look forward to coming back again! read more

Nice doctor but the billing in this place is borderline fraudulent. While visiting NJ recently my daughter took a fall on stairs and landed in the ER. Dr Cozzone was in the ER and put stitches in her lower lip - look great by the way. Then the bill comes...of course insurance covers x and the balance is y. I don't have an issue with the balance except part of my bill included 'Emergency Service' - huh? Emergency Service for treating my daughter in the ER when you were already there? Regardless, with the threat of collections (really?) looming i just paid the bill. I guess in this business they don't deal with insurance companies much. read more

My son needed stitches on his chin. We took him to be treated at the ER and he was treated by Dr. John T. Cozzone, the ‘on-call’ plastic surgeon. After receiving an initial bill from Dr. Cozzone’s office, we attempted to get the insurance company and Dr. Cozzone’s office to negotiate a mutually agreeable payment to Dr. Cozzone for his services. The insurance company attempted on more than one occasion to contact Dr. Cozzone’s office in a good faith effort to negotiate. But Dr. Cozzone’s office was unwilling to even talk to them, let alone negotiate with ICP. Dr. Cozzone denies receiving any money from the insurance company despite the fact that the EOB that I received states that he was paid something for his services. We found it unconscionable that the hospital contracts with a provider who refuses to negotiate with insurance companies. The hospital is an “in-network” hospital under our plan. We had no choice as to which doctor would treat our son. No doctors collect 100% of their fees and if they want to collect as such, they shouldn’t be involved with hospitals. Secondly, we believe he has committed an ethical violation as he told both of us separately that he will work with the insurance company and he has not done so. He lied and there are no two ways about it. read more
