Wait times are getting out of control. Disneyland-long wait times just to get an iced latte. These guys need to hire more help before the customers and staff start abandoning them out of frustration. Nice place. Friendly bartenders. Not too loud even when crowded. Great beers on tap -- including a few from my old stomps in Sonoma County, California. I hear the coffee is really good too. Decided to try this place after reading reviews - minor disappointment. Beer selection was awesome. Drip coffee was old and they were out of nearly all their food at 7pm Friday night. They have outside seating but no tables to put your drink and food unless you belly up to the railing and stand. I cannot explain the other good reviews except that maybe the bar is set low for Eastside establishments. read more

I ordered a double espresso and an Austin Beerworks double IPA and enjoyed both. they also have a really cool chalkboard grid that shows all their drafts: left to right is less hoppy to more hoppy and top to bottom is lightest to darkest. read more

Great concept. Their craft beer selection of nearly 40 taps always lives up to its promise of offering some of the best beers available in Texas. The Wright Brothers, Grady and Matt, are purveyors of great food and drink; they have curated a nice selection of coffee, pastries, and beer. For beer enthusiasts, if Grady is around the bar, you can get lost in conversations about the best beers and breweries. For coffee purists, the baristas are knowledgable and the bean selection is as good as the beer offering. As others have noted, the food portions are on the small size for the price point, so I'd recommend you set expectations before ordering food. read more

Beautiful coffee shop. Nice inside and lovely little balcony. Staff were friendly and the coffee was top of the range! It's owned by the same guys as Flat Track Coffee so that seems to be their brew of choice. I only had the coffee there but they seemed to have a great selection of beers too. This place was fine. It was a neat space. Seemed like a good location. Service seemed just a bit pretentious, which is ok by me if the coffee is that good...but it wasn't. So all in all I think it was an ok place to grab coffee, but nothing special. They did seem to be a bar as well, can't review that part. read more

My barber recently moved across the street from this place and I was early for my last appointment so I decided to treat myself to a cortado from here prior to my appointment. I remember when I moved here this was a different coffee shop called "Progress". I liked it enough. The space is somewhat similar with an industrial chic vibe happening. Lots of open space and natural light. I ordered my double cortado and was quickly informed that theirs is 'automatically a double'. Solid. The barista looked like he wanted to strangle me/everyone for some reason. Maybe he has RBF? I dunno but it was somewhat intimidating. Checked out the cooler while waiting and was really impressed with their bottled beer selection. It's basically a beer nerd's wet dream of a selection. That's really rad. Oh yeah, got my cortado and it was OK. Honestly, their espresso was a little more bitter than I preferred (I know that's a little dumb to say but, I have had some espresso that was a little less bitter/acidic and more rich and robust). This place is all about the bartenders. These servers are super nice, interested in what characteristics of a beer you like, and keen on making recommendations based on your preferences. Considering that their taps are constantly rotating, the depth with which they know their beers is impressive. Every time I've gone, they've given all my friends samples of what they think we'd like; and it's usually spot on. You don't get that attention elsewhere. Currently they also have fantastic coffee from Portland, OR's Heart Coffee Roasters which is excellent on Aeropress. Come here to drink beer and not be judged by your taste preferences. read more

I've enjoyed several study/work sessions at B&B over the past few weeks. It's a clean, comfortable open-air space with plenty of tables and outlets for those who are here to work. The espresso and coffee are delicious, and it feels good to switch over to a celebration or consolation beer after a few hours of work. The only drawback for me is the lack of (velveeta-free) vegetarian food options. What really sets this place apart for me is the baristas/bartenders, who consistently provide thorough, attentive service and seem to really care about the customers' overall experience. Earlier today, a loud and obnoxious birthday party descended on B&B for a while. The staff were accommodating to the partiers, but they also came over afterwards to apologize for the disruption and offer me a beer on the house. The beer was awesome, but I was mostly just grateful for their consideration. read more

Have to admit that Brew & Brew is a must stop for anyone coming to Austin. This place is for anyone who just wants to chill after a long day or just want to start their day with excellent coffee. They have a wide variety of beers on tap and have fresh coffee beans for their espresso machine. They do take out as well but why would you want to take out your drinks when the ambience is so nice inside, and the patio is facing a street and a far graffiti wall. I had their Vanilla Latte at $4 and it was super good. Just how I like it and it could have been hotter but the weather was in the 60s so that could have been a factor. The staff are friendly and they also have wifi. My friends and I walked here, but parking seemed easy for most cause there's a lot just by the train tracks. If you come here around sunset, you will see how the sun sets in between downtown. One of the most chill places I've been. read more

This is how coffee should taste! Somewhat higher priced, however you can taste the difference and the setting is pleasant. The location is superb hipster, something you'd see in San Francisco or Portland generally, and that is a portion of the charm! Had the iced latte and standard hot latte. Reach the place. In addition they have a pleasant patio space outside to hang out. Did not get a chance to come back to try out the beers, but looks like a pretty amazing list! read more

This is a great place to go if you like to get lectured. My wife ordered a cubano and the barista didn't know what it was. We explained it to him and he launched into a bewildering rant about how they don't make Starbucks drinks there.
