It's true that I don't go out downtown as much anymore, but rec room was a regular haunt for me back in the day. While the age of the crowd has gotten younger or maybe I've gotten older the welcoming vibes that rec room offers to all walks of life is undeniable. I remember it being busy in the past, but never as packed as I saw it last night. Still a great time but cutting through the crowd to get to the bathroom was nothing short of Olympic athleticism. Free parking on the street is of course, scarce but there is a paid parking lot nearby. Downtown as a whole, needs more accessible parking anywho. Upon walking inside, it's really cute and reminds me of the classier, bougie big sister of a neighborhood bar. Some of the servers were helpful, some not so much. We had a great table right slab dab in middle of the restaurant. There weren't too choices to choose from as a gluten-free girlie but the summer salad with grilled chicken was pretty tasty. Prices aren't terrible but we had no idea that we couldn't pay individually. We all had to send money to the birthday girl and she paid with her card.
