This bakery was just way I needed. Fresh made products, and a verity of different options I've never seen before! I had a bacon egg and cheese sandwich on a ham and cheddar bagel.... This was the post hangover treatment I needed! Not only was the food outstanding the staff there were super friendly and helpful. Being from out of town I'm so happy I found this gem before the chain restaurants!

    Outstanding Chicken Salad

Oh my gosh! I love this place! I had a chicken salad wrap and it was hands down the best chicken salad I've ever had! The portion was huge and the staff were excellent. I only wish I could have gotten a pastry but I was so full from the wrap. Everything looked delicious! Just a great little, comfy place for breakfast or lunch with a super friendly atmosphere.

We wanted a place with a good breakfast and at least above average tea and coffee and we were so happy to land at Brick House. The server was great and so patient with our big group and multiple questions. We got donwiches, a ham and cheese bagel, and some sweet stuff too. They had ample outside dining and our dog could join us too! The food was all really good, tons of options, and we love supporting local businesses.

The little creek that runs next to the back outdoor patio seating area.

Great bakery with awesome staff. You almost want one of everything. Canoli was top notch and rice crispy treats were dank.

The Grilled Mediterranean Salad - either chicken or shrimp - is another standout, with fresh made hummus! Refreshing blueberry basil lemonade in the spring/summer, tasty chipotle hot chocolate in the cool weather makes visiting Brimstone a year round lunch spot, especially with their one of a kind seasonal soups. For an extra special treat, try a slice of cake or even better, order one for your birthday - divine. The blueberry oatmeal cookies deserve an award too. Above and beyond is the warm and attentive service. Anthony and his crew are exceptional. 1000 stars.

The staff was accommodating and really went out of their way to find us comfortable seating. The food was so good, my husband who is not a chicken lover was so happy with his chicken sandwich (I wish I had gotten the actual name of the sandwich) he said he would order it again. My FIL loved his Shrimp Arugula salad. He couldn't stop eating it. My quiche was excellent so delicious , a blend of the ham, cheese and eggs with a flaky crust, and the soup was also delicious and creamy. I wish I had tried one of their lattes they looked so good. They had a steady stream of customers so they are busy. Try them out.

I rarely tell you to eat here…read more EAT HERE! This is a superb and excellent cake and pie bakery. The quality is the highest and the flavors and ingredients are the best. I have eaten almost every dessert they make and had a mocha almond flour butter cream cake made that I was embarrassed by how little she charged. In NYC it would have cost $100+ and her price was way below. Only one way for Louise to go; expand and raise prices commensurate to her quality and skill. Start going here before it's the biggest name in the Capitol region. She will definitely expand to Albany and become a household name.

I don't even know where to begin - if you are looking for a wedding cake baker look no further…read morebecause Louise is the best. My husband and I chose the almond cake with butter cream frosting and a caramel whipped cream filling. We also had a second cake that was chocolate with raspberry filling. These cakes were INSANELY good. The guests at the wedding loved them and multiple people told me afterward that they stole unattended pieces off other people's tables (it's really that good)! We had quite a bit left over because we ordered some extra but it was all gone by Monday morning because we couldn't stop eating it - and my wedding was Saturday night! The cakes were perfect and Louise was awesome to work with. Highly highly recommend.

If you're looking for a basic, classic diner experience in, or near Cobleskill, you can't get much…read moremore spot-on than the Cobleskill Diner. We were visiting a relative in town and my wife, son and I took him for a late lunch at the diner. (Which we treated as breakfast, served all day. We were seated at a booth near the entrance...the upholstery needed a little help, and overall the place could use a little sprucing up. There's advertising on everything...the placemats, the coffee mugs, the glasses. At first, I thought it was a retro decor style choice until I realized all of these were featuring current local business ads. The coffee was okay. I've had worse but there was some flavor in it so it was a step above the "browned water" you can get at other places. The food was good enough for a classic diner experience. Not elevated in any way, but classic dishes served, well, classically. The breakfast potatoes were good and I was happy they were able to do egg whites without any question or up-charge in my breakfast. Portion sizes were okay. My teenage son needed to ask for an additional piece of French toast with his meal as he was still hungry after finishing the initial serving (with eggs and potatoes) We can chalk that up to a teenage appetite. I think the sweet-spot of the Cobleskill diner is the prices. They're low. You can get the same meal at diners in other places for twice the price. This makes it feel like a place that supports the local community. Our server was nice and took good care of us.
