Eh. The drinks were alright, but the staff ruined the experience overall. The bouncer was letting underage kids in at the front and blocked a group of my friends from going to the bathroom. There's better bars around Stamford that are more welcoming and treat the clientele with respect and courtesy. We won't be frequenting this place. read more

This review might be a little biased, because I work here, but honestly it's the best bar in Stamford. I come and spend my money here as a customer, imagine that. Huge menu to select from, and everything is cooked fresh in a clean kitchen. I've been to just about every restaurant in the area, and have to say Bradfords has the best wings and waffle fries in town! All the food is solid, can't think of another bar off the top of my head that has better bar food. Always a good time here, if you come alone it's almost certain you'll make new friends. read more

I lived in Stamford for 3 years and drove past Bradford's more times that I know, not even realizing it was there. My husband found it and we have never looked back. It is our everything...our local bar, our place we've met the most friends, the kindest staff (more like friends) you could ever want. It's perfect any day of the week. During the day, it's awesome to sit quietly at the bar and/or work from the outside tables. During the night, it's a totally different (equally awesome) scene where you can continue the 'sports bar' vibe downstairs, or go upstairs for music and dancing. For food...they LITERALLY have the best wings I've ever had and I crave them when I'm out of town. You can't go wrong with this place if you're looking for something low-key and unpretentious. read more

Mike the bartender downstairs has the worst attitude ever. My friends and I were ordering a round of vodka sodas very respectfully. We asked him how his night was going and he just went off on us. If you want to dance, it's usually a fun time. Though their choice in DJs seems more hit than miss, if you have fun people with you, you will have fun. I am pretty sure one of our party actually ate McDonalds before visiting so she didn't even eat--that might indicate how nuanced their decision was. However, if you're looking for good food, skip this place. Also, the bartenders are nice and the owner is and walks around asking how everything is. So the bartender was great - very friendly & on his game. Cold beer, fun atmosphere. I'd definitely hang out here if I lived locally. That being said the food just didn't cut it for (very sober & tired) me - burger was bland, overcooked, bun fell apart and just meh (I'm very picky about my burgers so take this with a grain of salt). Not a sports bar, and to be clear they close much earlier than 2 on weekends - we thought this would be a good place to watch a playoff baseball game, but an hour before they closed, they turned all of their TVs to different channels and insisted that it was impossible to put the only relevant game on. Crowded bar that had 2 bartenders on st Patrick's day. Took forever to get a drink and the bouncer has napoleon complex and thinks he has power cuz he lets people in and out of a bar. I went out for a smoke and when I asked to go back inside to get my jacket with my keys in them, the bouncer physically put his hands on me. I tried explaining I wasn't trying to cause a problem but I needed my jacket and keys to get into my house. The bouncer put his hands on me again and refused to let me get my jacket. There are a bunch of tvs with one of them designated solely for bar trivia, which I enjoyed watching and was entertained as I waited for my friend to arrive. Bradford's is definitely one of the best bars in downtown Stamford to go to with a large group of friends on the weekends. There is a very laid back vibe, darts and a jukebox downstairs, dance floor upstairs, outdoor area. Most importantly, good drinks! I think their space is pretty tight downstairs which can make it uncomfortable if you're with a larger group. Also, they can be pretty disorganized, which is why I refuse to ever open a tab here. They have charged someone else's order on my card before. I recommend paying for each drink in cash if possible, or not opening a tab. I personally haven't had any real issues with security, but I can see why some people would be uncomfortable there, because their security seems to be lurking everywhere you turn, which is unsettling to say the least. Overall, one of the more reasonably priced bars in Stamford. Good for a typical night out, but nothing that will knock your socks off. read more

I had fun here! Bradford's has the perfect atmosphere for hanging out after work. It also helps that the wings were good. I chuckled at the "lazy man" wings which have no sauce on them. Nice one. I chose buffalo mixed with bleu cheese which did right by me. The beer selection is decent but will not set your world on fire. However it definitely gets the job done for happy hour after work. We honestly love Bradfords. It's a locals sports bar with really tasty food. Tonight Alex was our server, then Marc. Alex has literally been there since we moved here in 2013 and can somehow single handledly manage the entire downstairs bar with a smile. Marc is friendly, kind and professional with a fun sense of humor. Some of our recent favorite meals are the chicken scarpiello, wings, and cheesesteak sandwiches. Bradfords has a really large and beautiful outdoor space with fire pits, outside heaters when needed, a walk up bar, TV for catching a game, etc. It can get busy, especially weekends or when games are on, but between upstairs, outside and the main bar, there is almost always a table or bar stool waiting. This place is the best! Then the server named Brandon who's me is the man. Like wow I do such a good job. We make all our sauces in house from scratch which most people don't realize. Then the tenders and mozzarella sticks people love are also made from scratch! By making it all from scratch it's a significantly higher end food then you're used to compared to every other restaurant that sells pleasure food. Otherwise we have drink specials. $5margs/cosmos/coronas, and more of a very regular weekday basis. There are also regular food specials that are very reasonably priced. On Thursday last week your bartender Mel verbally assaulted me while I was with my friend at a table. We ordered two beers one for each of us and we were both having a great time when Mel interrupted our conversation 2 times and then after the third time she accused me of being a cheater in public. Granted this was my first time entering the bar and I have no idea who she is and why she knows my name. First off nobody deserves to be yelled at and ridiculed in public. She had no business in interrupting our conversation as I was minding my own business again spending quality time with my friend. It was extremely unprofessional and unnecessary. Honestly I am so shocked. Today is a Saturday and a group of us came out to enjoy a nice night together. There is this music box you can pay to play music that is offered to customers to use. We have paid for 4 songs to play and paid extra to put our songs earlier in the queue. The moment our Spanish song came up the bartenders immediately switch our song for a country song to cater to their mainly white customers. When we complained to one of their employees the women at the bar tried to keep us quiet with one beer. If they assume that one beer will make us happy after this feeling of rejection they are sorely mistaken. This is absolutely disappointing and we as a group feel excluded and as if we do not belong in their image of a country music loving clique. I ordered Beef Tips. Pretty hard to mess up and I've had them at SBC multiple times and they were amazing. Bradford's beef tips took me over a minute each to chew!!! It was prison grade meat at best. This place is okay as long as it's before 8 or so. After that I'm not a fan. In the afternoon, the front windows are open, you can play e-darts, there's $5 appetizers (fried stuff), and beers are around $5. The food is mediocre. I've gotten sandwiches and nothing was memorable. Upstairs turns into a club at night, probably Thursday to Saturday. It has that college feeling of sticky floors, bros in button downs unbuttoned too far, and girls reminiscing undergrad. Except everyone's in their 20s and 30s. If you're involuntarily fist-pumping right now, this is your place. You can't mess up beer, the food is eh, and the atmosphere isn't anything special. The only upside is the cost. This place has potential as a good local dive to catch a game, but it's just not laid out right, and the clientele is a pretty good representation of Stamford night life (that's decidedly not a compliment). They waste what would be a great feature in placing video games and a dart board (plastic, automated machine by the way, an absolute sin) right in front of ceiling-length windows in the front. My boyfriend likes this place so I have come a few times with him. Every time it is pretty over crowded. Drinks are pretty pricey, even though it gives off a dive bar feel. The music is not good either. They have an upstairs dance floor part but the times I have come I never see anyone there. Probably because of the poor taste in music. It is stuff you can't even really dance to. I think sometimes they have live music, but I have never come to see it. The bartenders are ok, but they take a long time to make drinks. They also only have one stall bathrooms which is super annoying because the lines get huge especially for the woman's room. The out door patio part is ok, probably the nicest part of the place, however they have mostly super high top chairs. Not the best for drunk people. I would not stay and hangout inside because the crowd is super loud and obnoxious. If you want to come here I would suggest hanging out on the patio. read more

Bradford's is a good place to go for happy hour, they have decent ongoing specials and even better daily deals. I came here on a wednesday and got a pitcher for $8. Other beers run from $4-$5, and they also have bar food for $5 during happy hour. One thing to note though is that while the rest of bedford street in stamford is filled with a younger hip crowd, this place gives off a middle aged dive bar kind of feel. They do have some arcade like games and darts, but it seems to attract the older, "start drinking in the middle of the day" kind of people. They also have FREE WIFI! read more
