Located within a plaza of stores, it was pretty easy to find the bakery. My boyfriend and I parked right outside then walked in. It's a cute shop with a glass case displaying all of their mochi flavors - there was a lot of options! I knew immediately it was going to be difficult to make a decision. I asked the lady working at the counter about their most popular flavors and she gave me some direction. From there, I picked out which flavors I wanted to try the most! I got chocolate, strawberry, mango, strawberry daifuku, and red bean with soybean powder on the outside. They have some instructions on how to maintain the integrity of the mochi, so as soon as I got home I put them in the fridge, That night, I was finally able to dig in! The mochi was very soft and had the perfect texture. I made sure to sample each flavor and was so stuffed. My favorite had to of been either the mango or the red bean with soybean powder. However, there were all very delicious! If you find yourself in the area, it's definitely worth giving this cute mochi shop a go! :)

I see tamales, I buy tamales…read more.. I was actually stopping next door at Ahan Lao for pick up and saw the tamale sign beckoning to me! They had chicken, beef, beef with veg, pork, cheese with chili... maybe forgetting some. I got beef with veg, chicken and cheese. All were very delicious... I think the beef with veg was my favorite, beef was really tender and I made a noise when I bit into it lol I rolled in within their last hour of being open and she still had all varieties available. Super nice lady. I didn't try any of the bakery items, but they also had a lot of those left as well. Everything looked really good. I was tempted to try the raspberry/apricot pastries but didn't go for it... next time! Really nice little shop and I'll be back!!

Easily in my top 3 bakeries in South Bay…read more I bought a cannoli, cheesecake, and tamales for my sister and tried most of them. The cannoli was still super fresh and crispy with some chocolate inside as well. The cheesecake had a whipped cream and almond shavings on the outside with a layer of strawberry jelly on top. It satisfied the cheesecake flavor I needed. The tamales are really good here and never dry. Whenever I would come here, the bean and cheese tamales would usually always be sold out. Today I finally finally got to try one for the first time. It was so good that I wanted to go back inside and buy more, but I had already bought other tamales for my family to work through. Every flavor of tamale will not disappoint you, whether meat or vegetarian. Generally speaking every item here is made with love from these little older ladies. They make everything as though as they're making it for their families because everything tastes like they perfected their craft. They are easy to talk to and I love their customer service every time I come in. They are always joyful here. They now have seating if you want to enjoy your treats there. The area as a whole is not a big cafe, but it gets the job done. The dessert I usually always have to get is the merengues with walnuts. I used to get 10, but now I just get 3 because *health* lol ..
