I was disappointed in this place. I heard they had slot machines. Technically they do. But they are generic with generic games and you pick from 12-15 different lame games on each machine. You pick your denomination and I found most are $.25 to $5 per bet, with a few with larger bet options. None of my favorite games could be found. And probably 50 were either not set up yet or out of order. The table games weren't busy so I didn't bother there. The food available looked super limited so not really a place to plan to eat at. The bathrooms needed cleaning and updating. And there wasn't really any thought put into pedestrians walking from their cars to get in the place. A nice little spot out front to sit at and watch people come in. A nice deck out back. I hope as they finish setting up this place is more of a draw. I LOVE that it benefits different charities, that should be promoted more inside instead of just in one screen. I'll go back in a few months to check it out again. read more

I worked for this place and the dealers decided to be selfish and go for their own tips in poker. Me being the inexperience poker dealer, the players had their favorites and I wasn't making as many tips. I was forced into something I didn't like then they had new hires and they didn't have to deal poker so this has to be the worst casino I ever worked at. The managers don't back up the dealer when the players take out their frustrations on the dealers. DON'T WORK FOR THIS PLACE. read more

While the food was fine, and the restaurant was clean and comfortable the service was awful. Was not busy at the time we went, we waited over 25 minutes for our drinks, asked more than a few times for water. Table was set with only forks asked for knives more then once. She seemed annoyed and made up excuses why everything was taking so long. Wanted separate checks said didn't do for parties over 6. While we did manage to get separate checks one check was wrong, the menu had a different amount than the actual charge. She explained that it was a typo and it was not adjusted. Just wrong. The thing I can say about The Brook is that it's a casino. If you're looking for a place to play, this will work. I've been here twice now. The first time was for the Kentucky Derby to place a few bets. It was super crowded, but no issue there. The second time I wanted to place a sports bets and didn't want to do it online. So I went up to the desk to place them. Some advice, please hire someone less than 100 years old to work in the Sportsbook. I told this guy about six times that I was placing MMA bets and he still didn't get it. I had to give him the fighters names multiple times with the numbers. I simply will not do this again. I'll drive to Foxwoods/Mohegan or even Twin River. Saving an hour isn't worth it. read more

My husband and I went for the Kentucky Derby. We were seated at a great table in the showroom. He was having a tough time walking with his walker and the staff came right over and got him to our table. We were having a great time until just before the big race. He was having a health issue and I had to run for help. Once again the staff was there and got him into my car. I cannot say enough about their care and kindness. My machine broke with nearly $20 still in it. When we informed the attendant, he said a tech would be right over. Nearly 15 minutes later and nothing. Finally we see a man in a nice coat walk by and when we tried to inform him he said, without hesitation, "I'm in the middle of something" and then kept on walking. Like we were chopped liver. We just wanted our $20 back so we could go play some other slot machine. Seems highly inefficient and unorganized if you can't be acknowledged once your machine breaks on you. read more

I hit a bet on 2nd dozen and 1-18 on black 15. They made a mistake and entered red 34 instead of black 15. I immediately stood up and talked to the guys up front and they said they were correcting the mistake. It wasn't corrected there so I called for the pit, when a guy came over he pulled the records from the machine and he was no help, I called for the surveillance and they "confirmed" my bet was for the red 34 when it 100% hit black 15 and they had incorrectly entered 34. My buddy witnessed it and the guy next to me also witnessed it. Shady stuff for a casino to be stealing money from its customers and to have surveillance "confirm" it I don't necessarily care about the money and if I had lost it fair and square whatever that happens all the time in casinos but the fact they made a mistake, incorrectly fixed it, didn't pay out then even had surveillance "confirm" it is ridiculous. I've played roulette many times at many different casinos i'm well versed in how the game works I or the people I was with know all the rules and how it pays and all of us are 100% positive they messed up and we aren't being dumb. Don't come here they don't honor their losses and when they make mistakes they don't correct it. I'll be in contact with the state and they'll be looking it over, at this point it's the principle of them making a mistake, lying and stealing that i'm going to see to it that it will be fixed whatever about the money they can't be stealing from customers. read more

This review is for the show and how they handle ticket purchase. We bought VIP tickets for Rob Schneider when first announced many weeks ago. Went to show last nite and we were sat at the furthest corner with our name on a reserved sign. When I asked the manager about it I was told that due to it being so popular they were able to sell closer seats for more money!!!!! She offered us a discount for future show! We had gone to a queen cover band with no issues when they first opened for shows and had perfect seats..no issues. They don't show you where your seats are when purchased so evidently vip means anywhere in the room if they can sell your previously purchased seat for more money! Will not go to another show here. Feels like we were scammed and to top it off...show was terrible! Ugh! read more

We have lived in Amesbury for a few years and just recently stumbled upon The Brook. I inquired about having my husband's 50th surprise birthday party here and was very pleased with the prompt response and attentive planning process. The day of the event was perfect and everyone loved the space and menu selections. They don't care about taking care of their customers. i was playing poker and the dealer mocked one of the players hand, the player cards were together with everyone else folded cards and they retrieved the cards back and I lost about $700 that hand. I talked to the pit boss and director and they did nothing about it, they said they can do that. They didn't offer no compensation, no food or bonus to at least make me feel better. Place sucks, will never go there again. read more

So I was enjoying my night playing black jack with my buddies then the dealers switch... and boy must've caught this chick on a bad night what a BITCH I'm playing my hands and every time I get a bad hand I'm verbal about it (jokingly) and she wasn't happy so I lose my last hand and say " thanks for taking my money" and tip her. As I'm leaving she has the audacity to say "you know it's not all about the hands it's how u play them" I nearly took back my tip and clocked her in her mouth. I liked it, had quite a few bonuses, nothing gigantic but it kept me going far longer than other casinos. I have been to oxford, bangor, Mohegan Sun, Foxwoods, Encore, and did just as well here . Laid back atmosphere, not glamorous but so laid back and plenty of slot machines to choose from. Many machines I have not seen elsewhere. Too bad it is so far from me, but definitely worth a trip now and then. read more

Casino has many games slots to play. It's clean. You can gamble for much less than encore for example. But payouts are few and far between. Really hard to find a server to order food? The brook Poker Room when being managed by Jamieson has become a joke. He deliberately interferes with hands that are in play. He allows his worst dealers to interfere with hands that are in play. He is rude and insulting to the players if they say that the hand is in progress and should not be interfered with. He then threatens to kick the player out of the casino. And that is untenable. read more

Very pleasantly surprised! I had been here once over a year ago but I just revisited last week. They have expanded quite a bit and they appear to still be adding more. PLENTY of gambling options: blackjack, poker, roulette, craps, sports betting. HUGE tvs with very comfortable couches. The staff was excellent. Very helpful to everyone whether a seasoned gambler or a newbie. This is like a hidden jewel in New Hampshire now. Great location, great offerings and a very friendly staff. The Brook is a good Casino to try. It's not as fancy as others that we've been to. They're still in the remodeling stage. while we were there we saw a gentleman win over $700.00 and still had 50 more free spins out of 200 to go. Now for the definite negatives of the Brook, the music they pipe in is so loud my wife was playing the slot machine right next to me and we could not hear each other talking, and with the volume up full on the machine you can just barely hear it over that loud music, there's simply no excuse for the volume being so loud (other casinos don't do that) The other problem was there was a worker that was putting the chairs up to the machines, and he was really slamming them against the bottom of each machine. (BOOM, BOOM, BOOM) we left earlier than we were going to because of the real loud music, and the worker that acted like he didn't want anyone in the casino. I hope the management will lower the music a little, and keep a better check on this employee. We'll try this place again. read more
