Stopped in for breakfast and had the most amazing lemon ricotta French toast with homemade blueberry sauce. It was decadent and so flavorful. I highly recommend this dish! Honestly, the best shakshouka I've ever had. While pricing is high, I'd honestly say the quality and quantity more than make up for it. Our server was very polite and attentive. The place looked very clean and has a nice photogenic look (very "white woman's instagram" coded, haha). My fiance and I left that place feeling very full and satisfied, to the point where we had a very late dinner simply because we weren't hungry after eating brunch for such a long time. My ONE complaint that takes away a star is the way I saw the front desk host being treated by, what I will assume is, either a manager or someone in a higher position than her. While I understand it can be tiring working in a resturaunt, and sometimes workers (especially younger ones, new to the field) struggle to meet expectations, the young lady that day did not need to have the F Bomb dropped at her multiple times for not handing menus out fast enough... especially in front of so many customers waiting for a table. Tonight, the service was scattered (salad and dinner came at the same time and dinners were brought out at different times). The food was a bit confusing - arugula on top of chicken parm with marinara on top of Alfredo noodles. It didn't work. Personal pizza looked burnt. We came here late at night with 5 people in our party, and asked to sit outside. Unfortunately their outdoor seating is in basically what amounts to a greenhouse ... it's completely enclosed, so there's almost no fresh air flowing through it. I finally visited this place for the first time. It took me awhile because they kept getting mixed reviews. I went for brunch and sat at the bar, nice quiet area and the bar tender was great! There were lots of options on the brunch menu making it very hard to choose. I ended up with the chicken biscuit. Fried chicken over a biscuit with sausage gravy. The first time I tried to go to this place for breakfast with coworkers, they didn't open till 9? Seemed odd for a brunch place, so we tried again at lunch today. When we arrived, no one was at the hostess area and we had two employees walk by after a while and not even acknowledge us. We were seated in a nice room; this place was much larger than it appeared from outside. The menu is before 3pm and after 3pm, I did not see this and had to find an alternative on the other side. We just celebrated my mother's 90th birthday here and we are blown away by it! We had 35 people come from different parts of the country to celebrate. The room they gave us was beautiful, and the food delicious and plentiful! So much food that staff boxed up leftover meals for guests to take with them when they left. The owner, Lorenzo, was incredibly accommodating to us. His staff, especially Jason and Jodi (BEST SERVICE EVER!) were ever present tending to everyone's needs. Every request we made of them was immediately done with a smile, plus some very helpful suggestions. No one lacked for fresh ice water or fresh cocktail! The food was presented beautifully, especially the appetizers! This was a very special event for our entire family and I can't thank the folks at The Brunch Pub enough!!!! If you're looking for exceptional service, a beautiful venue and crazy good food, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I'd give it 10 stars if I could! I made a third attempt to support this local restaurant... I ordered the Steak Benedict, medium rare. The steak was WELL DONE, tough and mostly unchewable, fibrous pieces. I've given them 4 tries. 3 breakfast every time my food was cold. We tried tonight dinner. I got the Chicken Piccata and the pasta was so citrusy that you could eat it. The breading on the chicken was over cooked. My husband got the Fish and Chips and said it was over cooked. He also ordered a beer and never got it. I think I've been gracious and given them 4 tries. Ambiance: Seemed to be no air conditioning in the main dining room. All other rooms were cool, when walking into the main dining room you could feel the heat right away. The lighting was ridiculous. I could barely read the menu, which typing was so tiny it was very hard to see. I had my elderly Mother with me, and I had to read the menu to her. She could not see even with her glasses on. You need coasters for the water and drinks. The amount of sweat from the glasses made the table very wet. This was with minimal ice in the glasses. Smart idea with the wood seats. Keeps the patrons coming and going freeing up tables and not sitting around chatting. Service: Was good but nothing spectacular. Our waitress had at least 10 full tables, too many for one person to give spectacular service. Food: Food was excellent, and more than anyone could finish. Kudos to the Chef! (Soda in cans? We really tried to give this restaurant a chance. We have dined here a few times now. Tonight my husband surprised me with a birthday dinner including several family and friends. I believe there were 21 of us total. The server did a phenomenal job. HOWEVER, management is awful. My niece took one bite of her meal and started choking. She ran to the restroom and my sister had to help her because something was lodged in her throat. When she finally got it up, it ended up being a 1" piece of black, hard thin wire. Can you imagine the damage that could have done?! The server apologized and said the meal would be comped. At no time did the owner/manager come out to apologize or talk to us.
