Where to begin. I suppose since it was winter I can give a little leniency but really, this place was terrible...because of the employees! I just checked my bank statement and see they charged me $15.50 for 1 drink! Unbenonced to me, when I paid with my debit card they are allowed to add whatever tip they like on it ($3.00)? For one drink! I would have never given that much...especially since the bartender was rude and didn't say one word to me. The bouncers were also not very friendly considering it was winter and there was hardly anyone there. We were there for a bachelorette party and let me tell you, do not go there if you want to have any kind of bachelorette party fun! They stare at you like you are crazy...no thank you! This is a fun place to have a cocktail and get some dancing in. The live music is great and the atmosphere is welcoming. The staff were very curious and even showed us where to find a table, as it is first come first serve. There are several different places to sit so you can be close to the music or in a more quiet setting. I wish it was more child friendly. There is no kids menu or a changing station in the restrooms. It also lacks ramps to push a stroller or for someone with a wheelchair to access the establishment. The fried haddock was very good but I had to wait and eat when I got home because they forgot to make my famous Don's teriyaki chicken sandwich. It also was very good but I'm sure it tastes better fresh out of the kitchen. I will return to this restaurant but will need to prepare without a stroller and with a mobile changing station for my son, who loves the band playing and his tasty haddock. read more

After our long drive up to Maine, we met my husband's family for a drink at the Brunswick. We have been here every summer for the last three years. I am not a huge fan of the atmosphere. I don't know why. Maybe it is just me. It is often crowded outside on the patio and it takes some time to get your drinks if you aren't pushy. It does have a nice view of the fire works on Thursday nights though. read more

The service, food and drinks are all meh. However they make it up with the atmosphere. It's right on the beach, they don't require real clothes or shoes and they have live music all the time. It's a great spot for one drink mid-day at oob. read more

The food was excellent but a bit expensive for a bar atmosphere - they charged extra for the fries but they were delicious. Not many beers on tap but good service. They have great hot wings and delicious lobster rolls done right. read more

We have been staying at The Brunswick for our annual girls weekend. I'm currently sitting at a table outside on the beach in the hotel restaurant, and I'm horrified at the behavior I've received from the hostess. The only reason we continued to eat here now, is because of our waitress Shelby. I understand that COVID has made things complicated, as I'm also a frontline worker. We are a party of 6, and a party of two were ready ahead of us went outside to reserve a table. Shortly after we went to meet them. We are staying in 160 and 160B. 30 mins after they reserved the table we attempted to walk out on the beach to meet them, and the hostess said "get in line" I tried to let her know we already have a table and she said I don't care and that it's at "capacity". But we went in line and she let others go to tables on the patio/beach but wouldn't let us go to our already claimed table. We get to the hostess table and she said "how many" I explained to her we already had a table as previously mentioned and she said "where". I pointed to our table and she said well there's not enough rooms. We walked to the table where she became unprofesssional, rude, abrasive, and aggressive to the point where two tables around us were trying to help us and pointed out her behavior. We were all horrified. She came out to get us another table and as we proceeded to thank her, she snapped at my grandmother and said "No you don't understand you just want to e rude" when we and others around us know that her behavior was unacceptable. We were not the rude ones, it was her. We were insistent on leaving, horrified at the behavior until we met Shelby. Shelby is a god-send, a decent human being who immediately recognized the situation and made up for it immediately. You are lucky to have someone like shelby working for your establishment. Please replace your hostess with more people like her. We are staying here for the weekend, I'm currently still sitting at one of the beach tables, and hope that our entire tip goes to her. The hostess deserves nothing, as she's entitled, and completely under serving of the position she's in. She treated us inhumanely, degradingly, and other patrons don't deserve the treatment we received from her. Promote Shelby and give her a damn raise! read more

We walked to the Brunswick for dinner. We sat out back and watched over the outside bar area. The place packs them in. The music is loud, but if your into people watching this is the place to go. My wife had a salad and I had the steak tips. We were surprised how tasty the food actually was. Our expectations were lower as we considered this place would be more a bar / dance club atmosphere. Price was reasonable and the service staff were very attentive and casual. We will be back. read more

Probably the most fun you can have on a beach patio - anywhere! The staff is amazing - the food is delicious- the atmosphere rocks. The band choices are perfect!!! The sun on the patio is perfect! And there is a cover for those who like the shade! A place for mixed ages- a fit for anyone!! It can get pretty busy which just adds to the fun! This place is a must stop when close by Old Orchard Beach!!! read more

Place is trash, worst bar at Old Orchard. No AC and the employees clearly do not communicate. No place to smoke cigarettes, we were told to go out front to smoke but that we would have to wait in the huge line to get back in even though we were stamped already. Buckets of liquor for $15 are pretty good. Mudslide was $12, it was delicious but way overpriced. Band music appealed to an older crowd with newer DJ music in between sets. Right on the beach which is cool but not my favorite place. read more

Easy reservations Great food (lobster stew) the cooks took pride in their Seafood. very good entertainment. a lot of friendly locals , right on the Beach. we walked to a nice Bonfire. We will definitely spend next new years eve in OOB read more

Not you bad of a place. Mostly live bands that play. I really recommend the outdoor patio can't beat the outdoors & ocean!! Not a very big dance floor kinda crowded. The drink are sooooooo expensive and kinda weak. Def. Pre game prior to catch a buzz. read more

We used to rent a room ever summer for about 4-5 days, up until about 4 years ago. The main reason we went to the Brunswick, was their outdoor deck, right off the living room. We could sit out on the deck, and view the ocean, the sandy beach, and the "entertainment" below at the outdoor grill. The outdoor deck was also great for viewing the fireworks. Then they re-did the entire building on the outside, and took away the decks. So now, there is only the "glass door" that leads to nowhere. Without the deck, it is not worth the price they charge for a daily rental. We also used to go with friends, and we usually rented a few "units" together. I know they have not been back there either. In fact, I probably have kept a few more people from going there, as I used to recommend it highly, and did not want to be embarrassed by having anybody I knew, go there and be disappointed. read more

We didn't stay here but we did eat...and I'm so happy we did! We were going to eat at the restaurant next door but pulled in to the wrong parking lot. A guy came out and asked if we were going to eat at The Brunswick. We said we weren't planning to but asked how the food was. He said they had great food, live music, and the largest beach patio in the area. So we took our chances and after reaching the patio we were immediately happy with our choice. The place was packed but we found some seats. We were served ice cold coronas with limes and koozies right away and then handed a menu with a lot of amazing menu items. We choose the Haddock fingers with tarter sauce and a teriyaki chicken sandwich with waffle fries. Within 10 minutes our plates were empty. And the final bill after 5 beers was $44! We'd recommend this place to anyone coming to Old Orchard Beach. You'll find lots of young people drinking and old people dancing to some amazing live music. read more

Not impressed at all! Ordered buffalo wings and a couple drinks at the bar. Girls behind bar and waitresses were far more interested in dancing with each other than to make sure customers were taken care of. Wings were rubbery and undercooked. They asked for a card to put down to start a tab...we did, then paid in cash. Next day we see our card was charged! I've been up here for three years now, I've lived down the street and walked to the brunswick in snow storms. The food is garbage and the service stinks. Not once has it improved. I tip 20% or more every time and it doesn't change. I've gotten grilled cheese that the bread was put in a toaster to a blt that wasn't even toasted to the totally wrong order. NO AIR -CONDITIONING INSTALLED......... room was clean and cleaners were courteous. Room we were given was above the band and you HAD to have the windows open to get a breeze. TOO LOUD till 1 AM. Would not recommend unless it was in the winter.. read more

I was here after the Beach Raid obstacle course race. They were a little overwhelmed by racers turning in free beer tickets. Most of those people had no cash or cards and so weren't buying anything else or evening tipping, so the staff could have been quite apathetic to those of us wearing race bibs. My team and I did order some appetizers and drinks not covered by the bib tickets. The drinks came fairly quickly, but there was a long wait for the food. Even so, the waitress was good about checking in on us and finally went back to the kitchen to make sure we got our food. It was a wait, but she did a good job under the circumstances. I truly don't doubt previous posters' experiences with rude/indifferent bartenders and servers. And I am confident that, if one hits this place at the wrong time, it certainly could be a douche-fest. All I can comment on are our 4 visits to the Brunswick bar.....3 on outside deck during summer, and one just last weekend during torrential winter downpour. In all cases, ûservice has been very efficient and friendly....no issues at all. Crowd on deck in mid afternoon was, of course, touristy.....but well behaved with a nice mix of young and old. Pleasant beach cover band was nice too. Great views of course. Last weekend found a bar full of mellow locals....mostly older....watching playoff football. Plus had a tremendously dramatic panaoramic view of a RAGING Atlantic Ocean from the warm safety of our barstools. Really enjoyed it. Can't comment on food though....guessing it's bad.....but that's not fair until I try it...we will see about that.... UPDATE....did finally eat here last weekend....wife had a serviceable BLT....I had a vey nice hot roast beef sandwich.....both very overpriced for what we got though, but good nonetheless......service again was lovely....crowd local, calm and cool watching Pats game...we are moving to a place just a couple minutes away, and this will definitely be on our regular rotation....at least for drinks.... read more

Good service and value for the food and beverages. Had a good singer/musician playing the night we were there. Great views. The waitstaff was very conscientious and provided excellent service. The only remark is that the place is due for a bit of sprucing up. read more
