Lovely boutique hotel well located on Bryant Park between Grand Central and Times Square. We had a junior suite with park view and it was awesome. The hallways are a little stark and the elevators a touch small. But the staff were consistently awesome so I tipped it up to 5 stars and the view amazing. Note: try to get up high a bit because the park is noisy as heck at night. read more

We stayed at the Bryant Park Hotel and had the most amazing experience -- all because of Josephine at the front desk. She was truly an angel to us. From upgrading us to a suite, to sending champagne, to recommending an incredible dinner (with champagne and dessert waiting for us!), every single detail was thoughtful and so appreciated. You can just feel that she genuinely cares about people, and it made our entire trip to New York even more special. We already miss her and can't wait to come back and see her again. Outstanding staff, location, good sized rooms, quiet hotel, comfortable bed, and nice sized bathroom for a building that is 100+ years old (even has a tub for those of you inclined). There is scaffolding around the building right now, due to inspection and maintenance. I did not see any workers outside my room windows or hear them when inside my room, but that could differ for others. The lounge downstairs (just to the right of check-in) is nice enough for a drink or two. Decent wine list, but they were out of many bourbons I asked about (listed on the menu... just out of stock). Very easy to catch ride share or taxis out front and the park is right across the street. read more

It was a bit loud with the spring concerts but otherwise it was great. The hallways probably need some decor but the room itself had tall ceilings and windows which let a ton of light in. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel overlooking Bryant Park. We upgraded to the park view suite which was perfect for working as well as sleeping. Great bed and nice robes and the view is always interesting and fun. The staff is very friendly and helpful from the moment you walk in the doorman always helps with the big beautiful doors and the front desk folks all very helpful. Great location to so many coffee shops and restaurants and easy walk to almost everywhere. read more

Had a wonderful overnight stay with my gal pal last weekend to ring in my 39th birthday with my first ever sleep in Manhattan. My hubby found this place that has amazing views overlooking Bryant Park, close to all restaurants and bars, and walking distance to the library and shopping in the area. Scott was wonderful upon check-in, and the entire staff was friendly and professional. Make sure to ask about parking in their partnered parking garage to get the hotel pricing versus not; this helped my out of town friend immensely. We stay in room 1107 that was a corner room just above Bryant Park. The floor to ceiling windows were amazing and the queen size bed had just the right amount of firmness to lull my friend and I to sleep after walking 17,000+ steps! The staff left a bottle of prosecco in our room, complete with a birthday balloon which made the stay even more special. The shower was a dream and the shower gel from the Molton Brown collection is my biggest obsession now! Lush bath robes and slippers awaited us after cleaning off the grim of the city; the room was quiet except for the sounds of the city below. Loved the black out curtains to help make the room a little cocoon for night. Notes for first timers: 1) the shaving and tooth brush kits in the closet are NOT free; they are a part of the "mini bar" and you WILL be charged. Found out the hard way - but fine 2) USE the ear plugs on the night stand; you can't believe how noisy the city is at night! My friend and I laughed with the ear plugs in as we heard cars blaring horns and blasting radios. As a NYC native, even though being on the 11th floor, we heard plenty 3) There is a charge for a "resort fee". We didn't use any of the facilities nor visit any of the restaurants at the location, but know the charge will appear on your bill The crisp white linens; full length mirror; spacious closets; and the shower really made the experience feel so luxe. Check-out was a breeze. I'd love to come back next year to do it all over again! read more

We stayed at the Bryant Park Hotel during the snow storm of Jan 23-27, 2026. The rooms are very clean and slightly larger than the typical NYC hotel room. The bed is comfy and the towels are soft and thick. The location is ideal: close enough to walk to theaters and the main attractions, but far enough away to experience local restaurants. Our favorite part of our stay was the hotel staff. Quiva and Julio were the best! They recommended great restaurants and suggested new places to explore when we told them our interests. The coffee and muffins each morning were a nice treat. We would return in a heartbeat! read more

Although I've stayed here and generally sing their praises, except for check in, this visit has been rough. Let's hope the scaffolding is up to return the polish to the hotels former glory. View, no water, sub standard staff. My room view, of scaffolding and a roof top. Security upon returning at 11:00 was not present, and I waited for persons in the elevator bay to move on, before I'd access the locked elevators. Woken up by? Construction workers outside my window? Sat. 7:30 am! Emergency water shut down, so we had to go out without a shower, and had to look for a bathroom, in New York. A rude house cleaner.. it all adds up. read more

Bryant Park Hotel was a bright spot in our trip to NYC. We visited with our two kiddos- ages 3 and 6 and were in the 2 bedroom room which was plenty spacious for us, including a desk and table with a few chairs. The bathroom was large and had a nice tub for the kiddos to take a bath in each night and beds were comfy for Mom and Dad! The rooms were clean, the location was close to everything but- the PEOPLE that work there are amazing. Everyone from the bellman to the front desk and the GM were there to make our stay as comfortable and great as it could be. We had a mishap with our 3 year old the first day of our visit that ended with a few stitches in the ER (which did NOT happen at the hotel) and when Siobhan (GM) found out she put a few NYC goodies in the room which certainly was a nice touch and made the girls smile. Along with that she helped us out with a late checkout in the event our littlest needed to rest on our last day there which came in clutch with a late flight. To top it off- the front desk (whose names are slipping!) sent my girls off with NYC cookies as we were wheeling our suitcases out. Above and beyond. When we feel ready to brave the city again we will for sure be back for another visit! read more

I wish I could give this hotel 10 stars - especially because of the amazing staff!! They are friendly, beyond helpful and there for you every need. Ronan and Dwight were especially helpful!! We booked and junior suite and Dwight upgraded us to a suite, which is a very nice room. They had a bottle of chilled champagne with a birthday balloon and personalized card in the room when I arrived. Very nice surprise! The room was large room by NYC standards with huge windows in the living and bed rooms. We have a view of Bryant Park if we looked to the right, but pretty gnarly rooftops view we looked straight ahead. The bed and sheets were extremely comfy. I love that they had the "do not disturb" light next to the bed. Much classier than hanging a tag on the door. The bathroom was large with plenty of amenities. The water pressure was good and there adjustable shower head which felt nice after a day of sightseeing. You also had the option of a deep soak in the tub. Housekeeping keep the room clean and supplied. The location of this hotel is extremely convenient!! You can easily walk to Times Square, Empire Building, New York Public Library, theater district, restaurant row and more. Bryant Park is right across the street. Nice place to grab a coffee, snack or meal and sit in the park to enjoy the weather, read and/or people watch. read more

The Bryant Park Hotel is a wonderful choice for accommodations if you make the trip to NYC, or in my case, doing an overnight on a special occasion, this one being my anniversary. We made the reservation on Expedia, and with my current level, the booking came with perks of a free bottle of sparkling wine, and extra points, the "VIP" package. The rate was competitive, and using a $100 voucher I had, plus booking on a good deal day, we received a room Sunday to Monday for $176, pretty good. We arrived to the hotel, which has some construction going on outside, and was greeted by a young worker there, who helped us with direction for parking, overnight they have a deal with a garage a few blocks away for $45 a night, which is actually cheaper than RT LIRR tickets, and took our bags to the room. When we went to check in, I was the only one in the lobby and was excitedly greeted by everyone, including the manager of the place, Scott. A really terrific and accommodating person, who was kind enough to upgrade us to a Queen Suite, which was gorgeous, so very happy to be warmly welcomed. The room was huge, or both rooms I should say. Couch, Chairs, Table, 2 TV's, Huge bathroom, and a very comfortable bed, everything looked very clean as well. Some of the furnishings do look very worn, like the lampshades, chairs etc. This could use for some updating. Shower was great, good water pressure, temperature, knobs worked fine, and the tub was huge and filled quickly. We were greeted in the room by a chilled bottle of Prosecco, which was a sweet toast to the overnight. The downsides are this; and I know the hotel has no control over who stays at the hotel really, unless they get banned by them, which Scott did after we addressed this issue: We come home from the bar around 11pm-ish and we hear a huge fight happening next door to us, some domestic violence and really loud cursing, things crashing, a woman crying, some really intense stuff. We call downstairs to address the issue; they send someone up immediately, they knock, ask if everything is okay, the person says yes, he says okay have a good night......great work security, I legit said it was violent and she was crying. Anyhow, after that it did quiet down, we weren't scared for ourselves personally, but crazy things happen in hotels in New York, no matter how ritzy and expensive, or cheap and run down, people are crazy. Another downside is the club, Celeon, which was closed. But it shouldn't be. It's summertime in NYC, this should be open everyday, maybe close early on Sunday but, it's there. It should be used. More money can be made. Same with the restaurant Koi, should be open for lunch as well as dinner. Overall, besides things out of our control, it was a very nice stay and we enjoyed ourselves. 4/5 read more

Stayed here several weeks ago and was not very impressed with the property. Although the location directly across from the gorgeous and popular Bryant Park, the actual hotel is a former office building that had been converted to a hotel. The room configurations really don't work well and should be kept in mind. Only rooms facing the park provide any actual views - therefore it's likely that a City View looks out to other building windows, no matter what the floor level. Scaffolding adorned most of my windows with a note attached to the window apologizing for the closure. No black out shades and there is an abundance of paint chips throughout the room especially the bathroom vanity. The toilet is older and although the sink and shower and tub fixtures are fairly new, the pipes are fairly old and therefore take a while for hot water - or water in general to flow. The property requires attention overall. Front Desk staff are friendly and welcoming but it's very dark and uninviting. There is no place to sit in a lobby except for two small benches in the entryway. They serve sweet rolls and coffee in the morning outside the lobby elevator. Windows aren't very thick so you hear most of the city noise. read more

This is my go-to hotel in NYC - love it! It's within walking distance of my office, and surrounded by plenty of great places to visit, shop and dine. Within easy walking distance of Times Square. The rooms are always clean and tastefully decorated, and spacious for NYC. The staff is consistently friendly and eager to help with anything you need. And... the soaking tubs! Huge and deep - I make sure to use those every single night during my stays. So relaxing after a long day of either work or sightseeting. When I come for work trips now, I've begun booking a few extra days on my own dime to extend my stay at the Bryant Park Hotel. read more

I have stayed at the Bryant Park Hotel a couple of times for business over the past two years. It's a beautiful hotel with exceptional service! The room was very pleasant, it was comfortable and clean. The hotel team has always been friendly and helpful. That impressed me the most. We also rented the loft space for client meetings - which is amazing! I worked with Alex Cintron with converting the space into the showroom we needed and she did fantastic job taking care of us! I love this hotel. The location is perfect for restaurants and Broadway. It's also less than a mile from Moynihan Train Hall. But what keeps me returning are the spacious rooms and attentive staff. Newly renovated, these gorgeous rooms are well appointed and maintained. My bathroom on the twelfth floor had a large shower/tub combo, shelves for my toiletries and towels and two mirrors. The bedroom area has a hearth style unit for the kettle and tea service, queen bed, table with two chairs, closet and bar area. The front desk staff are kind, welcoming, caring. I loved the luxurious look & feel of this hotel. I did not particularly care for the red interior. They had NY fashion week running on a TV off the elevator. The minimalist look of the rooms was great but the vinyal pillows just got in the way. You absolutely must take a bath if your room has a tub. I highly recommend the Cellar bar downstairs although we did not get the chance to try Koi. Very accommodating hotel. read more

The American Standard Building was once name the American Radiator Building, it's is a little know landmark art deco skyscraper located at 40 West 40th Street across the street from Bryant Park. built in 1924, the black brick design on the frontage of the building suppose to symbolizing coal on fire with it's gold bricks.  Well I don't see it but its one of the beautiful art deco buildings in the city. American Standard had their main national show room in the building and decorators and tourist would come and visit it.  Now it houses a the Bryant Park Hotel with130 rooms which I think some have been turned into condo and a theater in the basement. read more

Hospitality is good but there was an issue with the shower design where it drips water outside the bathtub onto the floor. When I called the front desk about it, they just said it was an ongoing issue and did not offer a solution other than to tell me they already knew it was an issue. It seemed like it was something they had no plans on fixing. If it was a few droplets, it would be no big deal but I'm talking about a towel being fully soaked to clean the water on the floor after every time someone took a shower. For the price of the room, I could've stayed somewhere else that didn't have this issue. For anyone looking to stay here in the future, be aware of this issue before booking. read more

Absolutely fantastic! Bryant Park Hotel offers a modern, classy, fully equipped room for all your hotel needs. The rooms are immaculately clean, beautiful and spacious. Fantastic heat and comfort throughout. The bathroom was big and offered lots of counter space. I loved the light fixtures. They were modern and unique. The TV was also wonderful because you can cast/stream Netflix right from your phone and watch anything you desire. The hotel is of course conveniently located right near Bryant Park and within walking distance to great restaurants and stores. The staff here was amazing as well. The manager Miguel who checked us in was so personable and warm. We also visited the downstairs lounge called Celon which was breathtaking. Stayed here this past Sunday into Monday for Valentines Day. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a lovely guy at the front reception desk. He checked us in and the process was smooth. Keep in mind they hold the room charge plus a $200 security deposit (I did not realize upon booking). We stayed on the 19th floor in the Junior Suite which was amazing! The bathroom was spacious with a walk in shower and a large deep soak tub! The room was upgraded from a single bed but the bigger suite had two beds, which was okay! The room included two beds, a large bathroom, a large flat screen which could be angled to your preference, a couch/chairs, and a desk. Very spacious and amazing. Due to COVID-19, there was no room service in terms of food but were able to DoorDash, etc! Note that they do not bring it up and you have to go down to get it. Also due to COVID, the mini bar was turned off in the room and empty. The room service for Ice, etc was very prompt and great. Before going to dinner, we needed an iron which was brought up with an ironing board!! Only cons I have would be that the bathroom had a cracked tile that did not seem stable. Also, there was a lingering weed smell in the elevator/hallways from someone not staff I assume (Not such an issue but would've been nice to not have to deal with the smell 19 floors up) Would definitely come back again! Ok. This hotel is my dream hotel for many years. Very nice location , next door is madam M ( very famous cake shop for Japanese. Any way I got deep discount room rate ! I don't know may be some company cancel for staying? Any way Front person is very nice! I like that( but check out person was just ok.)But I got key and I open the room.... It is big room for NYC ! I like that. I know only 1 bed. It's ok just a night. Disappointed is carpet. I saw many picture ,most are flooring not carpet. I don't like carpet Because carpet looks very out dated. I stayed many hotels in NYC many nicer hotel has floor. Historical hotel is always carpet room...but because discounted room? I don't know.... Or cheaper one? Any way shower and bath room is separate I really enjoy both... and 12 check out is nice ( I'm shopping before ) bed is little hard for my taste . The morning staff were accommodating and friendly. I flew in on red eye and got to the hotel by 9am. I called them when I landed and asked for an early check-in. They didn't disappoint me. The room didn't wow me. The window were facing an empty building and under construction with light on 24/7. Would be nice to have the black out curtain. I can see several unfinished part inside the room. The bathroom was huge and updated. It got a standing shower, bath tub, and all the essential. Also have a few unfinished part like the room. Almost look like they rush to finish the construction. The check-out process wasn't as great. I got charge for juice that I didn't drink. Same as my colleague. The grave yard shift staff wasn't as good. He was quite slow. I didn't get a chance to review the erroneous bill. I dont usually bring my own toothbrush so the $6 dental kit surprised me. Location was exceptional. Ton of stores and restaurants around. Metro station was right by the hotel, on the same block. Walking distance to Time Square. read more

We've done two single-night stays here, and even though there are 100000 hotels in the city, we plan to continue staying here because we just love it. Aside from the obvious of being right next to Bryant Park, the hotel is in the heart of Midtown with an easy walk to/from Penn Station, Grand Central, Times Square, and every subway line in the city. It's easy to get here and go out to do touristy things or explore neighborhoods without needing a cab. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Check in/out process is super smooth, and we got an upgraded room both times we booked, which was a lovely surprise. Bonus points to the person who checked us out this past weekend and hunted down the answer to my question about the brand of mattress used in the room. (It's Sealy.) If you enjoy minimalist decor and tall ceilings, you'll love it here. Rooms are airy and bright and well-appointed. Park views are stunning. The walls are thin, and street noise can go all night because this is New York, so the hotel offers complimentary ear plugs as just one of the many great amenities. You'll also find fluffy robes, fancy Molton Brown toiletries, and in non-COVID times a ridiculous minibar packed with booze, snacks, and travel essentials in case you forgot something from home. read more

Stayed here for five nights and enjoyed our time here. The hotel itself was nice, the guest service staff was always helpful. They sent up a bottle of Prosecco for our anniversary which was a nice gesture. Our room had a view of the city and park however the blackout shades didn't help to keep the sunlight out very well in the summer. They provide an umbrella when there were thunderstorms (this came in handy) a robe and slippers also complimentary coffee and muffins in the morning and lemon water. We didn't try the restaurant but the bar downstairs is not worth it imo, service was poor and drinks not worth the $20. Carpet and some room decor need some updating but overall had a wonderful stay and would recommend this hotel. read more

Loved this hotel. It has such a New York City vibe! One thing that is bad there is scaffolding all across the front of the building. I asked the staff what that was about because the entire time we were there I never saw one person up there doing any work on the building. It's like that all over the city really makes it ugly. The beds are super comfy, I asked them in an email afterwards if they could give me the information on the maker and style. They did not reply with any information. I was kind of surprised because they were so on top of everything when we were there. Their service was really good. My husband had his laundry done he felt they did not do a great job, did not seem like the clothes were very clean. They still smelt dirty like airport smut. I mentioned that in an email to them also which they did not reply. But overall we would stay again! You never tried the restaurant, it never was busy I don't know if it was because it's not as good as some of the others in the area or what the deal was. John at front desk was amazing! read more

From the second we walked in, we were greeted by Jo and Steven at the front desk......by name! It was my Granddaughter's Birthday, and she was presented with balloons, along with a couple special gifts from Jo and the staff. We were then escorted by Jo to our beautiful upgraded Jr Suite. Our room overlooked Bryant Park, which is my most favorite park ever. Bed was so comfy, large bathroom with a tub and shower and the room could not of been cleaner. Heater and hot water work great, no issues at all. We decided to have breakfast at KOI restaurant downstairs, which is a sushi place for lunch and dinner, but serves an amazing American breakfast. Marcos, our server both mornings, was wonderful and the service couldn't of been better. He even taught my Granddaughter how to fold the fancy napkins. He was absolutely fabulous. One morning we had breakfast a few doors down at Le Pain Quotidien. Food was ok, but the coffee was amazing. We were greeted every day by Rowan, the doorman. He also referred to us by name and my Granddaughter just loved him. He was always interested in what we did that day and what our plans were for the next. Hotel is walking to distance to just about everything. We did take a taxi to Battery Park which was sooooo expensive, but because I was with my 10 year old Granddaughter, I didn't want to take the subway. It's simply amazing how a wonderful Hotel staff can make or break a trip. This was a special get a way for us, and the way we were treated by Steven, Rowan, Marcos and especially Jo, we will never, ever forget it. Bryant Park Hotel, I will be back. read more

Sexy, luxurious and modern. I came for a weekend work trip and thoroughly enjoyed everything his hotel has to offer. The staff was courteous and accommodating, the rooms were sleek and comfortable and the hotel had lovely perks. Service: I flew a red-eye flight from Los Angeles and arrived 6am at the hotel. Although the concierge didn't have an available room for early check-in, she took my number down and let me store my bags at the hotel while I explored the city. Within a couple hours (around 8am/9am) she called me when a room opened up and was able to check-in. The concierge also helped suggest and gave me directions to popular tourist attractions. The staff goes above and beyond. One night I needed some paperclips and binder clips and the concierge provided that! There's a door man, staff at the main elevator to check room keys and bell boy. Room: I got lucky with a corner room outfitted with windows on two sides of the room that brought in much light and a decent view. I was surprised with the spacious guest room offering 1 Queen bed, Travertine marble bathrooms, BOSE Wave Music System, Obusforme Sound Therapy Machine, 32" High Definition LCD flat screen television, High speed internet and wireless access available, in-room refreshment center and an in-room safe. The bed was oh-so comfortable, I had the best night sleep and it left me not wanting to wake up in the morning. The bathroom was luxurious and equipped with a powerful hair dryer, Q-tips, cotton pads and Molton Brown amenities. Perks and Amenities: A big perk for hotel guests was the open bar happy hour at 5p on weekdays at The Cellar Bar, the hotel's cavernous gothic lounge. This hotel is equipped with a gym and a movie theater room. Location: This boutique hotel is prime location in mid-town Manhattan. It's walking distance to Times Square, the Bryant Park MTA stop, a 20-minute walk to Central Park/Natural History Museum/The MET. Not to forget it's across from a happening spot--directly across from the NYC Public Library and Bryant Park, the home of Fashion Week and the great ice rink in the winter months. This was my home away from home in the Big Apple. read more

We had a glorious stay at the Bryant Park Hotel. The location of the hotel could not be beat, and every staff member was friendly and professional and went above and beyond to make our stay top notch. The view from our windows was extraordinary, especially at Christmas overlooking the Bryant Park Christmas market and the skaters, and the room was spacious (especially for a NYC hotel room) and very comfortable. My only gentle critique is that the room in terms of decor seemed a bit "bare bones" for such an upscale place. Some art (such as perhaps some cool Fashion Week photos), luxurious rugs or textiles, or interesting fixtures, lamps, doorknobs, etc, seemed appropriate given the price of the hotel. In other words, something to give the room a distinguishing "sense of place" that marked it as a "Bryant Park" hotel room vs a room that (except for the view) might have been in any nice hotel anywhere in the world. A few free in-room amenities would have been a superior touch too - free waters, maybe some chocolates or cookies or a small basket of fresh fruit, something like that. But we did truly love it and will be back :-) Recommend! read more

We stayed here on a weekend. The noise was out of control. Bryant park shuts down at 11 but there were bands playing well into the early morning hours. I called the front desk and they said "we don't hear anything" though they also said another person had just called with the same complaint. It's loud. There are paint scrapes on the walls. I loved staying here- Location-...the oasis of Bryant Park across the street which is one of my favorite places, plus it is a short walk to Times Square (which I did not visit on this trip), and close to the Avenue of the Americas...where there is amazing public art, Rockefeller Center and the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) as well as many restaurants, food and smoothie carts, grocery stories....etc. Inside the Hotel-the Hotel itself is modern, professional staff, high security and offers 24 hour in-room dining with really great food. I ordered an incredible Turkey Club Sandwich one evening. Plus the concierge staff on the two days were more than helpful providing walking directions to different places and hailing a cab to the airport which was waiting after I "checked out." The room-while the room did not offer a view except of other buildings (like most of NYC buildings)- it was: 1. Clean, well cared for, with a modern bathroom with both a steam shower and a separate HUGE tub. 2. There were plush robes in the bathroom. 3. Housekeeping service came each day and there was an evening turn down service with chocolates each night. 4. A large umbrella was available in the closet for use. 5. A safe and an extensive gourmet mini bar were also located inside the room. 6. Plus there was a separate table and chair/sofa to eat at, work at, or just relax at. 7. Spa bath products in the bathroom. These could also be purchased in the room. 8. 24 in-room dining=Phenomenal Turkey Club Sandwich with French Fries! 9. Complimentary Bottled Water upon Check-In! 10.
