Was booked here for 2 nights for a work trip. This is a funky converted social club. I was in room PH202 which was spacious & had lots of light (my colleagues were not as lucky). The furnishings felt a little IKEA. But the higher end IKEA Very busy bar! The common spaces are pretty dark- nowhere to work (the room had no workspace) Good location near grand central. No room service or food at the hotel, but plenty nearby. Also no gym, but you get access to one about a 5 min walk away. Friendly staff. It's a very app-driven customer service set up. read more

I was so unhappy with The William by Sonder management and treatment I received. Paid in full (which they ask for when reserving) 6 months prior to stay. Confirmed arrival week of and day of received my access code. As I landed in NYC an email notification was received stating "We are overbooked and will be sending you to a sister company in the Financial District. The William was chosen due to its proximity to the theater district. The sister company in the Financial District was nowhere near the theater district. There is at least a $100 difference in the hotels. Marriott/William thinks that a one-night stay and a one-way taxi is enough compensation. I disagree. At the very least, compensation should cover the price difference between the hotels. Exercise caution when booking this hotel. read more

Very comfortable stay! I booked The William for only $162/night through Hotel Tonight, which seems to be way cheaper than normal. The check in process was easy and the hotel was very modern and clean. My room was comfortable and had all the amenities you would expect. There was only one issue (not deducting stars because it really was a one-off scenario) - the storm triggered the hotel's fire alarm and they were unable to deactivate it. A technician had to come to each room individually and take the alarm out of the wall. Otherwise, great hotel! Make sure you check out the bar downstairs. read more

The color themes and furnishings of this place look a lot like IKEA. Or maybe a C list resort down the shore in a tropical city. Kind of out of place for New York if you ask me. But I appreciate the effort. Furnishings were cheap, as I mentioned before. The table and chairs feel they wouldn't last a feast of 10+ people. I did enjoy the familiar brand of toiletries in the restroom, though. That was classy. This place was nice for a final time with someone before I broke up with them. Don't let that stop you from trying this place. We were able to cook in the presidential suite and stay in, and this was $150/night peak Covid. read more

I have happy memories of The Williams Club now a boutique hotel by Grand Central. Booked through Hotel Tonight -- reasonable rate doesn't include WiFi (chintzy). Lobby is now a cave where the staff uses a walkie talkie (old World). Room was comfy and quiet, windows open so you don't have to crank the AC. Closet door opened a crack due to the area rug, also the remote was balky. A 'deposit' of $100 was required in case we raided the minifridge -- it was refunded the day after our stay. Definitely worth dragging your bag up the front stairs. read more

My workplace has their annual holiday luncheon here in the Peacock room. It is a very beautiful building that used to belong to Williams college before they sold it and it turned into a hotel. The staff were very hospitable and friendly. We had a special menu with a few selections for appetizer, main, and dessert. I have no idea what the prices are like unfortunately but I imagine it is pricey. The food was delicious however! I started wth the celeriac and chestnut soup since it was rather cold that day. This was very warming and unique. It may be a seasonal soup since it is the holiday season. For my main I had the Scottish salmon. This was also very good! The salmon was perfectly cooked and the sauce was amazing. I liked that it came with a small salad, but one other veggie would have been nice, like small potatoes or carrots. For my dessert I had the plum pudding. Now this is definitely a seasonal dish and very British since it is not really a "pudding" in the American sense. This is really a small cake with lots of raisins in it. I don't know if there was plum at all but the rum sauce on top really brought it together. Very sweet though! Overall I would definitely recommend this space for any private dinners or events. Our table held around 25 people but I heard they can fit in more with different layouts. read more

Five words to summarize my experience at The William: BEST BOUTIQUE HOTEL IN NYC! Here's a little break down --- LOCATION: Perfect! It's on a smaller, more quieter street, between Park Ave and Madison. Super convenient -- Grand Central Terminal is just a 3 minute walk away!! My fiancé and I walked and took the subway everywhere - we bought a week pass, instead of using uber. And we saved a TON of money! Seriously, pro tip: purchase a week pass if you're staying at this hotel. WALKING DISTANCE: Not only is Grand Central Station being close a life-saver, there are also coffee shops and restaurants close by as well. 5th Avenue AND Times Square is also a 10-15 minute walk! INSIDE: There is a speak-easy and restaurant on the main floor, and a London inspired pub downstairs! This is super nice, because if you're hungry or want a drink and don't want to travel far, you can just take the elevator down! We went to the Speakeasy and it was like an old vintage library, it was nice. And the drinks were great! We also ate at the pub, which made us really feel like we were in an actual London pub! The food was surprisingly REALLY delicious. We both ordered the burgers, so I highly recommend ordering the vegan/vegetarian one and any of the regular ones! THE ROOM: Absolutely fantastic!! My fiancé and I were on the 5th floor aka Penthouse 1. The room was minimal, modern and very green (with blue accents). We had a little living room area with a couch, two seats, coffee table. Then next to it was the kitchen, equipped with a glass stove, plates, utensils, nesspresso, tea, fridge, etc. Anything you would need for a cooking night in or if you're going to heat up leftovers. There's a closet with a full size mirror and good storage space. Our bed was big and very comfortable. The sheets were really soft. The bathroom was spacious! We loved the modern design. Large mirror. Both sides of the sink were spacious enough to have "hers and his" claimed toiletries spaces. The shower was waterfall style, OH YES (which is always a plus for me)! The room service also provided full-size L'occitane shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Impeccable! The room service ladies always left our room spotless and lovely. The front desk employees were SO welcoming, kind and helpful - from the moment we arrived to the day we left and had to store our baggage downstairs before our flight! The door man was always there to open the door for us, which was nice. Overall, this hotel is phenomenal!! My fiancé and I had such an amazing experience! After full days of exploring, we always looked forward to coming back to our "home away from home." I would highly recommend this anyone, including you! I booked The William New York in May 2022 for a Dec 22 stay for myself and my 17 year old daughter - the location appealed to me and I also had booked a double double room with small kitchenette as we were staying 9 nights and didn't want to eat out every night. I booked through booking.com and full payment was taken 1 week prior to my stay. When we arrived after a 36 hour hour journey from Australia the person at the front desk could not find our booking. He then kept insisting we had only booked that day. Eventually he provided me a code to our room. Upon entering the room it was nothing like what I had booked. The one bed was barely a double, the room was tiny, there was only 1 towel. There was no bottled water, no phone and barely any amenities. It was clearly meant as a room for 1 person. I went back down to reception and was told that was the only room available. Exhausted, we decided to deal with it the next day. The next day a different person was at the desk and he also said I had only booked yesterday. I showed him my booking confirmation from 7 months prior and proof that the payment had been taken a week before. After much back and forth he said I needed to sort it out with booking.com myself. I said this was their issue to sort not mine, as I had a confirmed booking with payment taken. After some time back and forth on this issue anther staff member who was mildly more competent arrived who dealt with booking.com. We went out for the day and were told to come back in the afternoon and it would be sorted. In the early afternoon I received a call from Sonder head office to say there were no other rooms available. I had to either stick with the tiny room I had been given, or find an alternative hotel. When I got back to the hotel I received the same message from the front desk. Thankfully booking.com provided me with a refund almost immediately, although the alternative hotel they offered was in the Financial District and not of the same standard, nor the location I wanted. I then spent a stressful few hours trying to find alternative accommodation myself - no easy task 3 weeks before Christmas in New York. When we left, the person at the front desk was apologetic and offered me a $500 credit for Sonder. I since received a $50 credit via email. Overall it was a stressful and disappointing experience. Sonder is clearly trying to turn the William into a self service apartment style hotel. Be wary of this if you book there. The service is almost non-existent. Rooms do not get cleaned. We were told to help ourselves to replenish shower products and toilet paper. There was no help offered with luggage. This is reprehensible at this price point. As for booking.com, they were initially helpful with the refund but my experience since has been terrible. They offered to pay the difference as my alternative accommodation was more expensive and were emailing me a number of times to seek the invoice for my alternate hotel and confirm payment currency etc. They have since told me they didn't approve my alternative accommodation which I sourced with much anxiety so they will not pay the difference as promised. They then stopped emailing me and the messages on their site from me were deleted. Now their customer service email replies with an automated message saying that email address is no longer monitored.. And even though I stayed there for one night booking.com said as my booking was cancelled I can't write a review of the Sonder on their website. Moral of the story - do not book through booking.com and do not book Sonder the William. read more

The most beautiful boutique hotel in NYC. I was able to get an incredible deal for several nights on Hotel Tonight literally minutes after walking out of the awful Pod 39 hotel, a block or so away. I got a beautiful large (so rare for NYC) stylish and quiet room, amazing decor, very comfortable bed, giant bathroom with rain shower, nice linens and toiletries Nespresso machine. The only drawback it's in a brownstone, so I had to drag my suitcase up and down the front steps. I don't think they have room service - usually a must for me, but this time it didn't matter. They do have a restaurant on site, had a nice meal there. read more

The hotel is clean with modern decorations and furniture. The check-in process was painless. I'm not likely to return though: (1) barely warm water for my morning shower (same with the sink - so it wasn't a lack of faucet know-how in the confusing shower) (2) There was an open bar of soap left from whomever was in the room previously (3) even though the rooms have a restaurant menu for the on-site restaurant, they don't deliver to your room, and they don't accept room charges "We're a separate business" - compared to the front desk saying "They should have delivered to your room". When I checked out and told the front desk about the water situation there was no apology or compensation offered - just a "I'll check into that". Very shady. When I checked out, they said I was all paid for in advance. I had booked the room at Hotel Tonight and prepaid at a great rate. I only had to pay $10/night directly to the hotel. At check-in a hold of $200 was placed on my credit card. No big deal, that's normal. There was also a hold for $155.52 placed after I checked out. I flagged both to let me know if/when they posted. I received notification that the $200 was cancelled but the other went through but was increased to $355.52. I called the hotel and was told my card was accidentally charged. They were supposed to charge a different Mastercard for $305.52 (which belonged to Hotel Tonight) and my card only $50. He said he issued a refund of $305.52. That makes absolutely no sense. The guy must think I'm stupid. I wonder how many people they have done this to. My stay was just OK. I would not stay here again. read more

I'm afraid to let this one out my Yelp bag of tricks but I gotta give credit where credit is due, this is one FAB NYC hotel. If you know me well - hell, if you know me at ALL - you know I'm a shameless service snob. This on-the-go lady is all about the little things that are the keys to opening my heart, like when the doorman opens the door, says "good morning, good evening" and when the bell hops are right there to offer a helpful hand with my bags. Believe it or not, these teeny tiny acts of courtesy are sadly lost on too many 4+ star hotels. Well The William had all of that covered. So whatddya know?! They were off to a 5-star start :) But what came next was a super surprise. The hotel is actually pretty freaking cool! [And you never know with these NYC hotels. The reviews say one thing, but you get upstairs and it's something completely different.] But yes - it's HIP without that silly "hipster" vibe that I can't stand (Take Hotel Zetta in SF. NOT my cup of tea). Halls are dimly lit and the walls are dark, but head up to your room and Voila! A well lit, sparkly clean room with nice amenities and bright blue touches. Nothing too crazy but just a pop of bright. And surprise surprise...my room had been magically upgraded to a deluxe with a full kitchen - what?! Add that to the fact that the Murray Hill neighborhood is on point and in-house dining options were at my fingertips. I'm ready to return to NYC in a heartbeat. The only boo hoo, if I had to say, was that you can practically hear right through the walls. So maybe not the most romantic spot - if you know what I mean :) read more

Recently got tipped off about this place from a friend who said it was new. First off the rooms are huge compared to some of the hotels I have stayed in NYC, it is also much more functional and homely with its décor, Nespresso machines, kitchenettes and Apple TVs among others ... I've also never slept on a more comfortable bed! My room came with an amazing balcony and view which I hadn't experienced at the other hotels I have stayed in NYC. Can't beat the location - right around the corner from central and close to the corporates in mid-town. The staff were wonderful, responsive and helpful. The bar man sure knows how to mix a drink also! Don't forget to visit him downstairs - blink and you'll miss it. It is all the small things when I come to stay at the William, beats staying at a chain. My second time and I will definitely be back for my future visits. read more

I was in town for the Billy Joel show, and chose to stay at The William. While it is hard to say if there is anything wrong with the hotel, Even though I felt very safe at the William (and walking to/from Madison Square Garden/Times Square), there appeared to be a vibe at the hotel that I was uncomfortable with, as if I didn't belong - but that being said, I am a very low key, casual type of person, most comfortable in tee shirts and jeans. However, that attire felt a little underdressed. But onto the high points of the hotel. It was definitely affordable, and as far as NYC hotels go, the room was spacious (not saying large, but you can comfortably walk around and not bump into things). It was very clean and swanky/posh Free Wi-Fi in room and Apple TV - also 2 complimentary waters (which, after walking around NY in the summer, come in handy) Modern decor Decent location - close to Grand Central Station, and about a mile from Penn Station. Staff were very polite, and were almost always there to greet you and open the door whether you were coming or going. And the parts I wasn't a fan of. Tiny elevator - two people with luggage would make it crowded. Rooms that face 39th Street are not high enough (or insulated enough) to be immune to traffic noise, which, in NYC, can start very early. Very dark, narrow lobby - as if they are setting the ambiance of walking into a speakeasy The bed - I know many have said it is comfortable, but I found it quite hard (though I prefer the mattresses where you sink a bit into them). To get comfortable, I had to sleep on top of the comforter/duvet that was on the bed. And what felt like feather pillows, which are nice at first, but after an hour or so, become hard and need fluffing again. I ended up using the throw pillows. General Ambiance - as noted above, it seems to be a combination of hip and upscale. It isn't a bad combo, but just not my preferred choice. Bathroom - three knobs and controls to try to figure out how to work. All in all, if you consider yourself an upscale hipster, you'll probably enjoy it. I really can't say anything negative, but the William probably wasn't the right hotel for me. read more

This was our first time staying here, but know the location well, having stayed at the nearby Pod 39 in the past. If you don't know the Murray Hill neighborhood, it is ideally located in the heart of Manhattan, just a few blocks from Grand Central, and easily walkable from Penn Station, Broadway and Times Square. The hotel is tiny, a true boutique and recently renovated and modernized (the young man at the desk said it used to be the William's College Club). We arrived around 1pm, and although our room would not be ready for a couple more hours, they were happy to check our bags. The hotel also boasts a speakeasy-style bar and a restaurant which we didn't try, but looked busy with people enjoying brunch. When we returned to the hotel some hours later, the same young man at the desk already had our keys and paperwork ready for us. His assistant grabbed our bags and took us up to our room on the 3rd floor and explained the feature of the very modern room. Compared to the nearby Pod and other smaller more modern hotel offerings throughout Manhattan, our entry level (queen) room was relatively spacious, as was the very sleek bathroom (tub shower combo). Unlike many other economical hotels, there was plenty of room to walk around the bed, store luggage and use the built in desk which held a large flat screen tv and Nespresso coffee maker with complementary espresso and tea fixings. The room also came stocked with complementary bottle water and a rather large mini fridge (not stocked with anything for sale). Other room features included a large closet, digital safe and lots of modern lighting (both overhead and lamp styles). The hotel was very quiet, and though our room didn't have any view to speak of (small window looked across at a nearby building) the lack our noise was almost unexpected for Manhattan. The bed was also extremely comfortable with lovely sheets and a lightweight but warm comforter. Frankly, I'm not sure why this place is so economical and fully expect their prices to rise dramatically as more people discover this hidden gem! read more

I booked this hotel through one of the 3rd party vendors (Expedia or Hotwire I think) and it was seemless. The rooms look exactly as the depict them in their photos, are reasonably large (especially by NY standards), clean and refreshing looking. They have top brands for shampoos and coffees and everything is just nice and comforting to look at. It was affordable as well! Based on the rooms I'd give the hotel 4 stars, but the staff really pushed this hotel to an excellent experience. Every single staff member went out of their way to be helpful and nice. Any questions we had, they were there to answer. Heck, the front desk man even apologized that my room wasn't ready when I showed up to the hotel 2 hours before checkin. The cleaning staff was very respectful and didn't show up at the crack of dawn to start - which is key since NYC doesn't sleep, except between the hours of 6-10am. The only downside to this hotel is that there is no gym facility available. While the hotel most likely could not accommodate this within it's interior, it would be nice if they offered accessibility to one of the neighboring gyms. All in all, this was a great experience. I will definitely be staying here again when I return to NYC. read more

Beautiful boutique hotel. Staying in NYC with my 2 "tween" kids, I decided I wanted to stay 2 more days, and not stay in my first hotel, as it was not great. I was able to get a nice deal using a third party website for The William. After I had booked, I realized that the booking was for a 1 bed.-which was not going to work! I could not get a refund and was worried we might end up either temporarily homeless or spending hundreds on other accommodations. Long story short, the agent from the website was able to finagle a more suitable room with the Hotel rep. So--big props to both Hotel Tonight and The William for averting crisis! We ended up with a room with 2 double beds and a rollaway cot (can you guess which sucker got the cot?). Our room also had a nice balcony, kitchen area with a Nepresso espresso maker, mini fridge, sink, and stocked with real dishes, flatware etc.. Bathroom was quite nice with a huge glass enclosed shower area. Apple TV and an Amazon Alexa (which said children had way too much fun with). What I really noticed was how quiet our room was. You could step out onto the balcony and hear all the NYC noise, close the sliding door and virtually silent. You could also hear no noise from the downstairs lobby and pub (which was quite hopping). I realized one of our neighbors had a baby only while waiting for the elevator in the hallway. Definitely no baby noises heard in our room! Excellent service from the front desk and housekeeping. Midtown location is convenient to both East and West sides, with all the major must sees accessible either by foot or transit. I quite enjoyed enjoying the escaping to the greenery of nearby Bryant Park, which is about a three minute walk away. I would definitely stay at this lovely hotel again, although either alone or with a traveling companion-sorry kiddos! I really wouldn't classify it as a "family" hotel--it has a fairly hip/trendy vibe. Although, it did work out quite nicely for us. read more

Love, love, love this hotel! You would never know it's there unless you're looking for it (my sister walked back and forth for 15 minutes out front). Then you walk in & it looks very quaint with the first bar immediately to the right before the reception desk. But once you walk in to the elevator hall you will never see such bright colors splashed across hotel floors. We lucked out with a double room done up in blue hues. The beds were amazing, the amount of space we had was out of this world! I'm not a Nespresso fan but I'm sure many would find that to be an added perk. The kitchennette area was so cute and the closet had ample space with bath robes :) I think the only negative thing you could say is that if your luggage is heavy it's going to suck carrying it up the stairs into the hotel. I really want to like this place and it's good for 1 or 2 nights in the city especially if you plan to enjoy the English style pub, bar and restaurant. I was their for a week long business trip and won't be returning for that type of visit. Rooms are surprisingly modern but very small. No room service. No gym. The gym they have free entry for 3-4 blocks away was rude and worn out. Front desk staff was less than welcoming or friendly. This place is all about the Raines Law Rooms bar which is lovely but there is no special treatment for hotel guests to help you get in. Restaurant was very nice for solo dining with good pricing for the city. Pub was cute but extremely loud. So it's all about the drinking here and the hotel is an afterthought. read more

I wanted to love this hotel, I really did. In terms of the lobby/room: it was ultra modern, very sleek and colorful, which I liked. Very classy with a lot of velour and gem colors. Room was small (average for NYC) but it had everything you needed, so no real complaints there. I'm personally not a fan of those showers that only have half a door, despite looking cool, so points off there. Everything gets wet and I'm cold the whole time. And it is a pain that they have a large staircase and no ramp to get up to the lobby, but there's nothing much to do but have the bellmen help you there. The main reason I'm taking more stars off is because of the staff attitude. As another reviewer mentioned, every person at the front desk acted like they couldn't be bothered, like I was a huge pain in the ass for wanting to check in, or needing an additional key for my fiancé, or needing to store my luggage for a few hours when I checked out. Mind you, these were all separate interactions with different people. All basic stuff! Get out of here with that nonsense. There's plenty of other nice boutique hotels in the area where you won't feel like a bother. read more

The William NYC is the best holiday apartment we have ever had the pleasure of spending time within. It is a picture perfect New York townhouse that mixes old world charm with modern and contemporary styling. The location in great, with easy access to all that NYC has to offer. If you haven't stayed in the Murray Hill neighbourhood before, it is ideally located in the centre of Manhattan, only a few blocks from Grand Central, and easily accessible from Rockefeller Centre, Times Square and MOMA. We were eloping in NYC last August and the William was perfect. We even got a free upgrade to a penthouse suite, which has an outdoor terrace so large it was almost as big as the suite itself! The terrace really was the jewel in the crown and it was a pleasure to be able to enjoy breakfast in the sun with the sights and sounds of NYC around us. The room has everything you would expect from a high quality boutique hotel. A large queen sized bed, which was exceptionally comfortable with gorgeous bedding. The bathroom was modern in style, with a rainfall shower, hairdryer and L'Occitane beauty products. The kitchenette has everything that you could require during your stay with a complimentary Nespresso machine, unfortunately George Clooney was not included. As expected the hotel has free secure Wi-Fi, what wasn't expected was the two HDTVs with free access to Apple TV, one for the lounge area and one for the bedroom. The room has a large fridge which also came supplied with complementary bottled water. Other room amenities included a very large wardrobe, dressing gowns and an easy to operate digital safe. There's a Shakespeare inspired restaurant with a British pub-grub style menu. Being Scottish we didn't get round to trying the restaurant, eating the food from home isn't what we wanted to do on this trip. However when we stay at The William again we will 100% give the restaurant a go, as it was always packed to the rafters. The hotel was exceptionally quiet the lack our noise from the outside world was virtually astonishing for the middle of Manhattan. You can rest assured the next time we visit NYC we will be staying in The William. read more

Staff is very helpful, rooms are what you'd expect for NYC but has plenty of amenities. My room was extremely tiny... suffocating honestly, and when I pulled back the sheets in my bed, I found tons of stray black hairs that were certainly NOT mine. Then went to take a bath... found MULTIPLE dead bugs in the tub. The staff was mediocre at best, snooty and stuck up. Housekeeping was loud at 7 am, traffic was louder and yes you're in New York City and that's to be expected, the construction that began at midnight was quite pleasant as well. Decor is nice and hip... but if you're looking for a romantic getaway, stay somewhere else. read more

Firstly, let me begin on applauding the pros of the room. They have a wonderful modern decor in the room my boyfriend and I's stayed in (Penthouse Suite). Wonderful! Very spacious and clean room as well. They provide you with a free wifi password and even have an apple TV in the room that works well with your iPhone. It comes with a kitchen, living room, dining room, walk in shower and two robes alongside two flat screen TVs. I have absolutely no complaints about the room except one; one that managed to ruin my whole experience.... and my finances. I am 22 years old and always take full responsibility for any of my actions. Unfortunately, that day, I rested my legs onto their living room table. It collapsed literally in seconds. At first, all i could think of is....oh sugar honey ice tea I broke the table. I immediately reported the incident to the front desk where the front desk associate and I both agreed that I would not be getting my incidental fee charge back from when I first checked-in; Which was fine with me. However, after hours of thinking, I thought to myself, how could a table collapse so fast from a minor foot rest? But then I let it go. Once at check-out, she again informed me that I would not be getting my incidental fee back, which was cool, then stated that she would "find the cost of the table" and contact me from there. That was oddly weird due to the fact that I paid the cost of their damage cost, yet they wanted to charge me more? It was also weird because why would I have to wait for you to "find out the price of the table, when all the suite rooms provide the same table? Isn't that something you guys should already have on file? After about 30 mins after leaving, my boyfriend checked his account because he received a text and email from his bank that indicated fraud usage and temporally blocked his account. Once he viewed his account he saw that they charged him on four separate accounts with totals that did not resemble the one they gave us a receipt for. They charged him about 1,000+ on his account for our room that was about 400 dollars. I could not believe that! We let it go due to the fact that we believed it was a mistake and they would surely fix it. BOY WAS I WRONG!! They emailed us the NEXT DAY and told us they took $975 from his account due to the broken table. What left me flabbergasted was that they actually charged us the same day we checked-out and DIDNT EVEN TELL US while we were all face to face but WAITED UNTIL WE LEFT to charge us while they would "find out the cost" and then emailed us the NEXT DAY to inform us about the price they ALREADY took out from his credit card the day before. How unprofessional, rude and a bad way to run business. Another unfortuante factor that occurred is when my boyfriend called to speak to the manager, Alice, she told him this isn't the "first time that table broke". Why keep supplying rooms with low quality tables then? Sounds like a set up to me and it definitely feels like one as well. The room is wonderful but not worth the trickery of this hotel. SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!! and if you decide to stay don't touch ANYTHING!! don't even LOOK at anything or it just might BREAK! read more

It's very unfortunate that when booking through Hotel Tonight that most hotels choose to give you their least appealing rooms. You'd think they'd want to give you the best experience to win your continued business, but this is not the case. The restaurant was great, check in was fine, but the staff were not very friendly. The lounge was just weird. We waited 10 minutes to be seated--only to be greeted by an inattentive server (never took our drink order), and two couples making out extra passionately as if they were the only people in the room. It was uncomfortable as hell. But the room!!!!! The room takes the cake. We were given a "Deluxe" full....I repeat, "Deluxe" FULL. The sheets were low grade, there was no vent in the bathroom, the shower water was luke warm, the sink only had cold water, we had one wash cloth, the air was unable to adjust, the room was the size of a doll house, and the elevator was broken. I was disappointed. Had they provided a better room, and the staff were nicer, I may have considered coming back on he strength of the restaurant. But, I'll probably never book there again. read more

This is the best hotel I have stayed in yet, and definitely an experience within itself. I never wanted to leave! . The entire hotel is beautiful with artistic and colorful themes on each floor. The rooms are so luxurious, spacious, clean, and unique w/full size kitchens, huge showers, and a bed that felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. The staff is so amazing, friendly, and helpful; it is obvious they do what they can do make sure you have a wonderful stay. The location is fabulous too. I could access so many parts of NY city from where I was and the neighborhood feels safe with a ton great restaurants close by. I travel to NY fairly often and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting. I can't imagine a disappointing experience, especially for the price! I would give it 10 out of 5 stars if I could! :-) Can't wait to go back! read more

This place is great! A couple of bumps during my stay but they made it right and were great. Room could be repainted but that did not impact my stay. I will definitely stay here again! read more

The room was nice but they added a 200 fee for a coffee table I supposedly broke when all I did was sleep n check out the staff was extremely rude when I called to ask about it kinda seems fishy also what kinds hotel doesn't have a sewing kit ? read more

We used jet setter to find this gem and will definitely be coming back! The upgraded rooms were very cute and even offer Apple TV. The staff was attentive and provided us with local restaurant suggestions. read more
