6/6/15: All You Can Eat Lobster. Yes, AYCE LOBSTER!!! ...How I longed to come back here.... I came here about 2 years ago. The whole drive here, and such a long drive it was!, I was just thinking it couldn't be that good right? As you know, most all you can eat anythings ain't as good as standard fare. And lobster... probably the most coveted crustacean for most Americans... it gotta be pretty crappy right? Well, boy was I wrong!!! I think that buffet was The Very Best Buffet EVER. Yeah, I've tried all the most expensive ones in Vegas... Bellagio, Wynn, Cosmopolitan, etc., like pretty much all the big ones. And this unknown Indian casino stuffed deep into the mountains of CA had the better buffet! Not only was the lobster better than that found in most restaurants in CA at any price (granted, I haven't tried ones on the East Coast, which I would imagine would be quite a bit better), all the other items they had were excellent! It was absolutely unbelievable--it would be a feat in itself that the lobster was good, but everything was good! No, not good, awesome!!! Now fast forward to today, 2 years later, sigh............. so disappointing. No longer the best. Still good, but not great. And many of the non-main stuff just ain't that grade--maybe Home Town Buffet level. Seriously. Oh, and they raised the price. If I remember correctly it was around $25 back then. Today it was around $33 / person. Not it's starting to get into high-end Vegas territory (though they don't got lobster). The Lobster: They changed the recipe on the lobster. No longer served from a big huge vessel of butter, but now just plain steamed. (If some idiot health nuts complained about the abundance of butter, well, I hope karma takes care of them.) The lobster is still okay like that though--still soft, but just wasn't epic anymore. Wasn't 5-star restaurant killer no more. Was 10, but I think now just 7/10. Other Main Stuff: Prime rib, roasted pork... was good enough. I did like the pork--very succulent and generous with the fat, just the way I like it. The ribs were a let down though. Mine were quite dry. Didn't bother with the turkey. Crab legs!--they did have that. The standard frozen kinds, but was still good. Not the highest grade, but good enough. Had oysters too, but as a rule I never eat those at AYCE places. Sides: They got your typical stuff like sausage, various vegetables, fish, fried chicken, etc. Like I said, Home Town Buffet quality. (And again, it wasn't always like that... was soooo good before. So sad.) Dessert: I think their pastry chefs are better than their standard ones. I was examining a slice of pie and a chef asked me if he could help. Told him I was just contemplating what I should get and he said to me in a French accent that what I was looking at was sugar-free. Oh god. I thanked him and ran away from that evil location. Got me some other good looking desserts and the were REALLY good! Maybe not as fancy looking as Bellagio's but certainly just as well made! Was impressed. So, bottom line, not The Best no more. Sad. Anyway, I think my friend managed to eat around 15 of those lobsters and maybe 5-10 crab legs. And about 2 packages worth of blackberries. Pretty sure he ate more than $100 worth of raw ingredients. I pretty much ate my way into a diabetic coma today at The Buffet. There were very few disappointments with the plethora of choices I made today. Dare I say this might be one of the best buffets I ever ate at? I just might. It wasn't at all crowded on a Sunday at lunch time. The angry rationing lobster lady only lets you get one lobster tail at a time. So I visited her about 5 times total (for regular and crab stuffed lobster) to let her know I meant business. It was so good I wish I had room in my tummy for more. I ate until I felt sick. Which is a good sign, I couldn't stop eating. The food was just so darn good. I was shocked. That there was a buffet of this caliber outside of Vegas. The other delicious choices I made today included the clam chowder, pizza, prime rib, Mac and cheese, coffee ice cream, cookies and cream ice cream and pecan pie. The drive there was painful coming from west la, so I don't know exactly when I'll be back but I'll make sure to wear my stretchy pants next time. read more

This review is because of the first timer at the casino = free buffet! Usually buffets are terrible! But this one is pretty amazing & its free (for the first time). It is located inside the casino. To get the free buffet, you must walk to the registration area. Just tell them its your first time, show them your ID and they'll hand you a receipt and a gambling card? Then you can go on your merry way to The Buffet. The line wasn't as long during lunch, but after i left lunch, the dinner was line was ridiculously long. The Buffet had king crab, lobsters galore, prime rib, oysters, mussels, sushi and etc other buffet food that aren't as important. The lobsters and the prime rib was really delicious. The king crab, oysters and sushi was decent, but still yummy. The waiters/waitresses were really good with taking drink orders, cleaning the dishes and giving out utensils and napkins. And OMG the dessert area is like diabetes waiting to happen and a child's sweet tooth dream come true. There was cake pops to pies to ice creams to any kind of pastries and etc. However, it was pretty disappointing to find out that the fruits were canned. :( But overall, can't say no to a free good buffet that would usually cost 32.99! read more

Haven't been in a while and decided to go with some friends. The crab claws were dry, the prime rib was chewy and the mashed potatoes were goopy. We were a party of 7 and it took over 2 hours to complete our meal. They only let you choose 4 items at a time, which would be ok if it didn't take 20 minutes each time. Very disappointed. It's your typical casino buffet except they have lobster for dinner here daily! Although they give you one tail at a time you can go up as many times as your heart or should I say stomach desires! I haven't been here in a while but this time around made me remember what I love about this place. They have your basic Mexican cuisine, Asian inspired goodies, good ole turkey or prime rib dinner, crab legs, and a huge selection of dessert for those that love a sweet bite to end their meal! Delicious is an understatement. Their Asian section is my favorite by the way, just to highlight one of the best dishes for me is the tempura shrimp-cooked and crisped to perfection!!! I'm not a fan of cold crab legs but I didn't know you can have one of the cooks stir fry some up (in the Asian section). Next time around. They have a promotion going on, I don't know for how long though-so get in while you can. They're offering the lunch buffet for $10 on Monday through Thursday; lobster dinner for $20. You just have to sign up for a player card-otherwise it'll cost you $32.99 for dinner. The only reason I didn't leave 5 stars was because of the cashier, I honestly wish I would've gotten her name because she was just plain...rude. Let me give you a breakdown of the timeline of my first visit to The Buffet at Valley View: Drive to casino: 40 min (once you exit the 15 freeway) Wait to get Player's card (in order to get free lobster buffer for first timers) : 20 minutes Wait to get into The Buffet: 0 minutes Time needed for family to gamble : 2.5 hours for crying out loud My family is batpoop insane about this place. They have asked me for YEARS to come try VV's AYCE lobster buffet b/c it's FREE. And after a gajillion years (and NO I'm not an old fart) I *finally* said a very defeated 'ok, I'll go'. I don't normally get put in my place and admit that I'm wrong. Yeah I'm stubborn but it's mostly b/c I'm always right. BUT, I had to give it to my family this time around - I had a really great time at The Buffet that Tuesday evening. Here's a summary of what to know about The Buffet: - your first time is free but you must sign up for the Player's Card in order to get this free meal (make sure you bring a valid ID b/c they do verify) - there was absolutely no line for the buffet that Tuesday evening. BUT, hey, my family bailed on me to go lose their money at the slot machines so it was just me and the desserts at this point. Anna sensed my apprehension and she encouraged me to go up the dessert section and try AS MUCH AS I WANTED AND (!!) NOT GET IN TROUBLE. Did you hear that mom?!! HA! Summary: - you can take the cold crab legs and go to Asian section and ask the guy to saute the legs in either sweet garlic sauce OR curry style - weekends are usually packed and people have been known to wait for hours - end of the month can be busy b/c alot of the VIPs will come in to use their free buffet voucher before the voucher expires - come on a weekday evening like I did - there's usually no wait - you can take ice cream cone, fruit out the door after you're finished - they can send you out with hot coffee and tea if you request This place is absolutely worth a visit if you have the time to drive there for your first free buffet. I would have given this buffet 4 stars even if I hadn't eaten here for free since they have lobsters and OYSTERS. Honestly the only thing I eat at buffets are oysters, so if they don't have oysters I don't even bother going. My family came here on a Sat. at 3pm, and beat everyone else in getting our Players' Card and getting seated for the buffet. hehehe . The buffet is usually $32 which is really worth it since they have ayce lobster, I've never been to a buffet that has ayce lobster. They only give you 1 lobster at a time which is ok, since it forces you to walk back and forth to your table. I love how they had sliced avocados here!!! I've never actually seen that at a buffet before. I had at least 30 oysters, and their oysters were quite large but the flesh was slightly washed out. They don't really have that much food to choose from, but the oysters, lobster, and dessert selection was enough for me. read more

Relatively small, but pretty tasty buffet in this casino, for a song. I'm not a big fan of buffets in general, but I found stuff to like here. The Buffet is "famous" for their lobster (usually, cooked lobster tails with butter though I'm told they also have spicy asian-style lobster) and the brunch I went to (weekends til around 1) also featured prime rib. Both of these items are unlimited, so obviously there are people eating many plates of these foods alone. I am not one of those folks, but it definitely hit the spot. Overall the selections of all the hot food and even salads are not bad. The dessert selection is not a 5 when I went, but I'll give it 4 stars and the ice cream (9 flavors to choose) in a waffle cone was pretty tasty. They have a chocolate fountain which is a pretty rad feature, but I literally saw zero people hit it up at noon, and part of the problem was they only had chocolate marble scones to dip in it, which was not nearly as cool as the stuff I've typically had with a chocolate fountain..... we're talking brownie bites, pound cake or cheesecake bites, and marshmallows. If they had that I might give this place 5 stars. Since I was there for brunch, I saw mostly lunch items and very little in the way of actual breakfast, but who am I kidding I was there for the lobster and prime rib so I didn't really seek out scrambled eggs, pancakes, and waffles. Nothing against those, I love breakfast as much as the next guy! And there was an omelette station and nobody really went there to get one, so it couldn't hurt if that's your craving. As it were, I was enjoying a free buffet that they'd sent me a voucher for in the mail, as a monthly thank you. They used to give it to you just for signing up to their Player's Club, now you gotta come back.. or "earn" it through player points which is pretty hard. But all in all it was a good meal and hit the spot, I'd go back and try it again. However, the food overall is half a notch below the entrees you can order off the menu at the Lounge. So if you're really craving high-end food and you're already in this establishment, I say give the Lounge your business first. The line to get in the Buffet on a Saturday was small/nonexistent, but as I was leaving it was growing, maybe 15-20 minutes. I suggest going sometime between 10 - noon on a weekend if you want there to be little to no line. Service was OK... not bad but no complaints. Seating was fine but didn't like being sat at a square table for four with extra chairs, in which seemed to be a high traffic area, as no less than 5 people banged my table with their knee during the meal, nearly knocking over my beer a couple of times. Soft drinks are free and alcohol is extra. They only have 4 kinds of beer, so don't really get your hopes up... if memory serves, Bud Light, Budweiser, Heineken, and Corona. or something like that. But if you're really craving that awesome cocktail hit up the casino bar on your way in. And coffee, juice, etc was also free... of course. Not a big fan of buffets. I just feel they concentrate on quantity over quality, however this place evens both of those out. I have been to plenty of buffets in Vegas and this one would par well with some of the best over there. It cost us $20 a person through a special. That is an amazing price for unlimited fresg crab legs and lobster! Everything was delicious. I just cant complain. I take that back sushi was meh. The crab legs are cold but pass them to the cook and he will heat them up for you. Oh and they are all ready opened for you! Awesome. The lines i hear are usually terribly long. The buffet is normally worth $32, so that's really a steal if you're looking to stuff your face on some seafood. I've been to a few seafood buffets but I've never seen a buffet that offers all-you-can-eat lobster. You can get up to one lobster tail at a time, which is served with a quick dip in drawn butter. The lobster tail here is definitely legit with sweet, delicate white lobster meat and not a hint of overcooked chewiness. If you're okay with clogging your arteries, make sure to ask your waiter for extra drawn butter for dipping. You're going to need it! While the lobster section was delicious, the other food items were decently okay. I didn't really have anything else noteworthy but it's worth sampling the wide variety of typical buffet fare such as crab legs, prime rib and pasta. I was disappointed to see oysters-on-a-half-shell advertised on Valley View Casino's website, but no sign of it anywhere. As a dessert lover, the sight of the dessert bar was glorious. So glorious that I had to circle it twice, eyes wide open in awe at the endless choices of cakes, cupcakes, ice cream and cookies. The decorated chocolate strawberries and nuttela crepes were simply divine. Make sure to get here early, because unfortunately, you'll find no shortage of long lines here. Based on my last experience, this place wasn't as good as I remembered. Granted, the last time I visited was 5 years ago but it definitely seemed better then. The lobsters are very small and the workers who hand out the lobsters are RIDICULOUSLY RUDE! I'm sorry that not everyone knows your restaurants etiquette and that you have to give people attitude when they ask you a question. A restaurant is only as good as its food AND service.... cmon guys. Not to mention, it was so hard to find our server to ask for something. I don't understand why you have to ask your server for melted butter to go with your lobster and crab, instead of having it available for customers to grab themselves. It's super inconvenient... The food was great for a buffet. The reason for the one star is for the poor customer service. I understand they have a new model but I'm guessing the staff is not fully trained or accustomed to the role of a traditional server. My friend who invited me here had trouble understanding the server. So the server removed her mask and raised her voice with attitude. This behavior was disturbing because she was standing less than 2ft away and we weren't wearing our mask because we were dining. She later apologized but she should learn to have some patience and impulse control. She should also get a new mask. We witnessed her do the same thing to the table next to us but they were lucky to have their mask on. To continue with the theme, I asked the individual who brings the food to our table for utensils. Instead of getting utensils she starts saying, you are supposed to keep the utensils! We know that already!!! My friend accidentally left her fork and knife on the plate when it was taken away. She gave us attitude but at least she kept her mask on. She said her job is just to bring the food. I said, fine I'll ask the server. The server only brought a knife. So frustrating. I won't be returning until this pandemic is over. The only reason I will return is because the Chefs and cooks do an excellent job! read more

First off, this is a 4 star review only because I got the buffet for free. Won 2 vips from KPRI. If I had to pay $32.95, I wouldn't be as generous with the stars. The food was actually pretty good. The lobster, prime rib, pot roast, etc. were very good. The yams had raisins and marshmallows, which made it unusual. Some of the sides were kinda lame, like the usual roasted red potatoes, anemic mac n cheese, tough green beans, and undercooked butternut squash. The chicken chili was very tasty with huge chunks of shredded chicken. The tortilla soup, however, was a gluey paste with corn. Do a hybrid with the chili, it helps a lot. Lots of bread choices like mini pretzel rolls, but avoid the bread for more lobster room. The dessert selection is crazy, enough to bring on a diabetic coma. The creme brulee and chocolate mousse cake were very good, and the extra nut pecan pie also had walnuts, but ended up being kinda dry. The food is better than any buffet I've ever been. The prime rib. It's med rare and juicy but if you ask they'll sear it to well done. And then try it with the horseradish cream, available at the station. I slather the stuff on! The crab legs. Try the secret option. Bring a plate of legs to the Chinese stir fry station and ask them to flash fry it. Dessert? creme brûlée which is looser than most brûlées but none the less it's yummy. The key lime pie is also good. Tip - there's always a line at the right when facing the buffet. You don't need to start there! That's just the line for the crab and lobster. There are plates at every station so just jump ahead if you don't want the seafood. I think people get confused and then they think you're cutting! They'll catch on though. The line to get in is always at least a half hour long and weekend lunch is $32.99 pp! Unless(!) you're a VIP which means you get to use the shorter line (5 minute wait) + 2 free buffets a month. Located right in the middle of Valley View Casino, I think this might be one of the best buffet's I've been to! Be aware though. The wait is looong. But the perks are that your first time is FREE and you can kill time spending money at the casino haha. But despite the agonizing wait to eat (We went there on Sunday at 4:30pm and didn't get seated until almost 8pm!) it was well worth it! All I can say is that you really can't go wrong with anything you choose to eat here. Known for their lobster, I sure got my fair share of them. They are handed out half by half but you can keep going back for more. I think my favorite was the prime rib!! D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S. I have to say, it's a close call whether the prime rib or the lobster was better. The prime rib was so flavorable and sooo tender. It literally melts in your mouth! I could wait in line for another 3 hours just for another slice of that... well... almost.. haha. The lobster was really good too. Really tender. A lot of places tend to have really overcooked and rubber-y lobster but this place cooks it perfectly. And it is really easy to grab the end and pull it to grab the lobster meat right off its shell. And they crack the lobster claw too so you can easily get the meat from there. Other good things that I tried in no particular order: Coconut shrimp: fresh shrimp crusted with lightly fried coconut. Asparagus: cooked perfectly! I think they just cooked it with a little bit of oil, but this was my favorite vegetable there that I tried. Clam chowder: AMAZING! I think they put cheese in it? Not sure. Nice and creamy with a generous amount of clams. Lobster bisque: I think it would be really good but not i'm not really a lobster bisque kind of person. Fried catfish: Mmmm! Fresh, light and fluffy catfish with a light fried batter. So good! Baked salmon: Sooo good! Cooked with minimal seasoning so you can really taste the salmon. Cooked perfectly. Dessert: HUGE selection!! I didn't get to try everything but the M&M fudge is really good and so is the ice cream even though I'm sure it's just normal ice cream. I can probably go on and on how good everything is but I think you should just come and try it out for yourself. Everything is cooked perfectly. Nothing lacked flavor or was too salty like some buffets. Prices are: $19.99 for lunch, $23.95 for weekend brunch and $32.99 for dinner (obviously the more it costs, the more variety you get). Been here a few times and I think it still holds the title of Best Casino Buffet in San Diego County. The lobster tail is the main attraction here and I usually make sure I eat at least 5 tails before I leave. The lobster at the Pala Buffet on Tuesday and Thursday nights are better but overall Valley View Buffet is better. Valley View Buffet makes sure that all the dishes they serve and tasty and fresh. Even foods like the Chow Mein are delicious and I can appreciate the attention they give to all their dishes. They have a wide variety of dishes which include plenty of seafoods and vegetables. There is a carving station with pork ribs, prime rib, and roasted turkey. The dessert bar is plentiful and carries a wide variety of different treats and sweets. The line gets very long because first time visitors who join the Valley View Player's Club (Free) receive a FREE BUFFET voucher. So expect to wait at least an hour if you come during peak hours. It's definitely worth the wait and I would recommend to anyone who is within a 60 mile radius to try it! read more

Arrived at Valley View Casino at approx 2:00pm and was intrigued by a free valet service which we immediately took advantage of. They were very polite and organized. Once we entered the Casino we headed directly over to the Players Club area to redeem our free meal. I was here approx 2008 but never received the free meal due to me having a minor with us and security escorted us out. The manager approved the free meal without putting us through the third degree. From the time of entering the line until we were finished was about 20 minutes. I was very happy with this so far. Next we had to stand in line at the buffet and I could not believe how many people were there. We stood in the never ending line from 2:40pm until 4:26pm we were finally seated. There were no windows in the buffet area and the tables were squished very close together. They are in need of a massive upgrade to the dining area. Their selection of food was fabulous and most of the food was awesome. The service person was extremely nice to me but was not giving the same focus to my man. At one point we asked a person walking by if she could get him another soda and she replied with "ask your service worker, I am a host". Her response should have been "I would be more than happy to assist with that, let me find your service worker". The buffet was 32.00 a person and the wait was a grueling almost two hours long. Would I come back? NO I would like to give a kudos to the manager "Lena/Lola" I cant remember her name. She is the only one that made us feel great! Remember that: No one under 21 can come to eat here. There is a wait time of approx 2 hours to eat. The crab legs and lobster tails are all cut in half and you can only ask for one lobster tail at a time. This is probably the best buffet in the San Diego area. It's completely FREE during your 1st visit if you sign up for the FREE players card. On weekends, it's $33 after your initial visit & it's totally worth it for all of the food you get. If you get there before 2pm, you get to indulge in the breakfast/brunch items like the omelet station. After 2pm, they bring out the shrimp & pre-cut crab legs. The pre-cut lobster tails (they dip them in butter for you) are served all day long on Saturday & Sunday. Been coming to this buffet for years as part of the package of being part of the Players Club at Valley View here since at some points we got many free buffets and now it is one a month but for the value and such it really can't be beat! Love the variety here and the service is always excellent. This last visit, there was about no wait at all to get in since it was a bit of a rainy day but more food for us! We were seated and our drink orders were taken as per usual and we were left to do as we wished with getting our food. They also renovated the floors/carpets and basically everything there was a bit different somehow seating-wise with more seating in the left side where slots used to be with different tables and chairs than before. I think it feels a bit more roomy. Anyway, the food! There is quite a variety of breads, soups, salads and salad toppings, sides, and main courses. It varies from American staples to Asian favorites that may change depending on the day. A sampling of what I had was in my photos but there are a few too many things to list! They mentioned that they had about 35 new items and I could tell they had added a few things. I think much of what was new was the fruit area having different cheeses and hummus which was not present before and a few stations were swapped out to include more items. I believe they used to have stuffed lobster but now it's a shrimp boil of some sort. The dessert bar is also where they shine here since there is such a huge variety of little morsels to snack on, I love it. I try a bit of everything that entices me, though I'm sure you could tell if you looked at the photos, haha! Anyway, great service, great food, and great times at Valley View Casino's "The Buffet", and the experience is always amazingly pleasant. As confusing as times are, it would make sense to better train employees to speak a little louder and give guests pertinent and accurate information... these people are representatives of this establishment and appear to be upset and grumpy... positive attitudes ensure guest approvals and a better chance of return business... The best buffet I have ever had in my life, in my memory!.. I went to the Wicked Spoon at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Vegas last December, paid $70-80 for a lunch according to their holiday price, and had a good buffet. This buffet, which I had for free after signing up for the Player's Club, was better. Much, much better. Most noticeably, the free lobster tails at "The Buffet" were fantastic. I probably had 6 lobster tails. Do you have any idea how much these things go for in the supermarket? (Around $10 each, is my convervative estimate). They brought out trays of lobster tails like they were biscuits out of the oven-- plentiful and freshly cooked. The other thing I really loved that made this buffet worth a 2-hour drive was the prime rib. I hadn't had prime rib in a while, and it was fantastic to have 4 large slices of tender prime rib, with horseradish sauce and other fixings. Besides the lobster and the prime rib (*drool*), everything else here just also happens to be fantastic. Every dish seems to be a quality dish. The mashed potatoes are real, homemade-style mashed potatoes with consistency and butter. The macaroni and cheese has several kinds of cheese, not just cheddar. You can taste the marsala in the chicken marsala, topped with premium portabello mushrooms. They have beautifully-cooked salmon with cherry tomatoes. Coconut-fried shrimp that would pass muster at any nearby mid-level restaurant. It's a food lover's heaven. The last incredible assortment that "The Buffet" offers is their dessert. Oh my goodness, what a selection it is! Their assortment of cakes, pies, cookies, ice cream and other miniature edible delights just blew me away. They had Chinese take-out boxes that were made of chocolate ~ lol. The chocolate-dipped strawberries looked beautiful. Molten lava chocolate cakes. It was, basically, a chocolate lover's paradise. I couldn't even touch the cheesecake because I had eaten so much lobster and prime rib. This is my dream buffet. Everything is nice. The only negative is the wait to sign up for the player's club, and the wait to get seated (1 hour on a Sunday afternoon at 2 pm). I'm just sad that I will have to pay $32+ for the next time I come here, if ever my wife agrees to come again. She was blown away by the amount of food. read more

Thursday night free lobster buffet dinner, line was not bad at all. The lobster tails were yummy (I had FIVE)! If you don't want it dunked in butter you better tell the server quick. The only foods worth eating in this buffet: lobster tails, crab legs (so nice that they're sliced in half already so no cracking required), corn, scalloped potatoes, seaweed salad and the ice cream (ok ok I'm biased of course since those are my faves) but the Chinese food was dry, the sushi selection was lacking, the desserts looked gorgeous but was not good at all. It's almost comparable to hometown buffet status. For $32 dinner buffet eh.. was happy I got the free meal experience. @Trina: try the creme brûlée (one of my faves) it's supposed to be all about the caramelized topping which was nonexistent here, try the oreo cheesecake dessert - there's no taste :T the selections were awesome just didn't taste good, the ice cream was the best read more

For 32.99 you can have all you can eat lobster tail. In this November The Buffet even offer $20 from Mon thru Thur dinner time. You can't beat that price. Though one tail at a time, you can visit as many time as you like and the line was not long. The tail was good. The prime rib looked over cook but actually very tender and well seasoned. However, I felt it taste like a ham more than a prime rib. There were middle sliced snow crab leg. The other food were just regular buffet fair. The lobster tail was the main highlight. Others were not so important. The chocolate fountain was no longer there. The sushi used refrigerated rice and the fish was very thin sliced, not interested. I had to drive all the way from Orange county so I would not make it a habit but once a while was still fun. read more

Much like every buffet, it will get crowded during certain hours. Plan accordingly. However of all the nearby casinos, it's certainly my favorite one to go to. Most times I get my items they're usually fresh. I don't have to worry about them sitting under the heating lamp for an hour or so. Good taste, never bland. read more

This was my worst dinner in a while, we came to check your dinner buffet because a friend of mine told me that was the best in town. First impression your hostess never smile and don't do an eye contact, they don't wait for you they just keep walking, the food was cold everything that we touched was cold no flavor or too salty except for your soup. We wanted to talk to the chef to get him our feed back but seem like he didn't want to talk to us,his arrogance at his finest. This is probably my favorite buffets of the casino variety. I've been to quite a few of them in Vegas as well as San Diego area and Valley View's The Buffet tops them all in my opinion. The food quality is above average here. They tend to use good cuts of meat, fresh vegetables, fruit and desserts. And on weekend nights, Lobster is served for dinner. I believe crab is also available along with sushi and other varieties of fish. They even have fish tacos which where really good. Most of their food seems like it came straight out of the oven or was made to order. I even spotted them change out an almost empty tray of food rather than just dump the older food on top. Most buffets do this but I was surprised that they didn't here. Some of the things that I sampled off of the buffet where the fried catfish, fish tacos, Fried Chicken, roast beef, beef fajitas, greens, carrots, mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach. I came here once on a weekend and was not able to get a seat until 4 hours later , my boyfriend and I were starving so we told ours we will just come back on a weekday . ALL YOU CAN EAT LOBSTER!!! Need I say more? They do lobster 2 ways: Crab stuffed or steamed. Either way, how can you go wrong? I personally loved the crab stuffed. Each lobster tail is baked to perfection and stuffed with crab meat and bread crumbs. The steamed lobster tails come with drawn butter, which does not need any embilishment. As long as the lobster is fresh, the taste will be amazing. They also do an impressive fried chicken, potato crusted fish, veggies and chocolate lava cake. Valley View Casino is in the middle of nowhere, down the street from Harrah's. The drive out here can be challenging but it is worth the journey. read more

Definitely worth going at least once!!!! When it's your 1st time if you sign up for free for players club you get a free buffet. It's all you can eat lobster and crab!! Not to mention plenty of other tasty treats with a killer dessert bar to boot. I've been to this place many times and the quality changes from year to year.
