Casino Pauma is a smaller local casino. They have higher odds than some neighboring casinos. We did not spend the night so I can't rate the hotel rooms. The casino has a decent rewards program - the first time you sign up you receive $20 towards food credit and any money you spend that day up to $500- will be refunded in rewards on the next couple of weeks. We tried the Surf & Turf buffet normally $46.99 on Fridays. With our $20 off per person it was not bad price wise. The pros for the buffet - there is no time limit. One group had been there over 4 hours. The food is all you can eat except for the lobster. We were given 2 tickets for our allotted 2 lobster tails. The buffet has all the necessary elements for my kids. Pasta, potatoes, and a variety of protein options (chicken, fish, & steak). The crab was served hot and cold. Unfortunately the lobster was overcooked. Also the steak (not the prime rib) was cooked very well done. Not edible. Lastly the brownies were dry. This is not a buffet I would rush back to. Rewards members can get a discount but I still don't think it is worth the price. read more

We have been going to the casino for 25 years at least. We used to sit at the Parrot bar and gamble. But recently we went and they had changed the bar stools. The bar stools did not have enough padding and had a bad angle to them!!! The bar stools hurt our lower backs!!! We were not the only people that felt this way!!! We have tried 2 additional times, and we can't gamble in these stools!!! The staff is nice and professional and understand the way we feel!! Pauma is one of the smaller casinos in the area but it is still a great place to go. The floor seems pretty spacious than other casinos and they have good food options. I come here for the cheap Steak and Eggs (currently $8.99). It is a pretty hearty meal for under $10. I definately recommend coming for brrakfast and staying to gamble. read more

This is a great little Casino. This review was a about the deli & pizzeria. First, the SALADS are AMAZING. They use a huge variety of fresh ingredients! The lettuce is the nutritious leafy greens. Not ice berg. There's fresh corn and at least 2 whole squash in the green salad. Plus candies nuts and cubed ham and Turkey! He other salad I had a generous helping of bleu cheese (maybe a tad much for my taste) plus a potato salad and half and avacado and real chicken breast!! All you can eat crab legs, 2 lobster tails and many other choices like brisket and oysters. My only complaint is sometimes the lobster tails over cooked and get rubbery. Time for an updated review. First, whoever voted that Casino Pauma has the loosest slots owes me money! (Just kidding - slots is all about chance, you will always lose more than you win so reviewers who complain about tight slots just haven't been lucky,) Honestly, this place hasn't changed much over the years. It's still in a tent with a couple of buildings attached so don't expect a "Las Vegas" feel. Valet was closed when we visited, but it's not that far to walk from the parking lot. They have a great selection of new versus older machines, especially if you like Buffalo. Older machines are spread around the casino floor, but there is a lot on the far right-hand side of the building, including video poker. The employees are hit and miss. My gambling partner and I had to get new players' cards but we each had a different experience at the counter. Mine was very "get to the point, get your card, goodbye". My partner had a guy who was super helpful, provided advice, and gave him 2 cards anticipating he'll lose one at one point, which we all do when we walk away from a machine without remembering to remove it. Can hardly believe this casino has remained totally unchanged for the last 20+ years. It doesn't seem they will ever build a hotel here. So what do they offer? All kinds of free gifts that you may never open or use, free play, and food credits that can be difficult/inconvenient to use. Well, since the Pauma Bay cafe is the only dining option till 4pm weekdays, just come in the morning between 7-11am and get the ongoing $6.99 steak & eggs deal which is probably the best value in the county. The deli/pizza snack bar place actually had very good Hebrew National big hot dogs and above average personal pizzas. Too bad they don't open till 4pm on weekdays which is an issue for those using food credit comps if you're there earlier. Other than that, this little place has less than others in the area to offer, but for some odd reason I don't mind coming periodically. They have weird policies/restrictions like activating your players card before using food credits, smoking is ok but no vapes allowed, and the free gift offers start at 12 noon. If we come here, it's because we are going to Harrahs also to use free play over there. It is one of only 2 casinos in the county-(Barona is the other)that has the lower 18 year old minimum age requirement. So my kid can go, but come January she'll be 21 regardless. We have our reasons for bad reviews just like all those that has reasons to give positive reviews. My reasons: May 3rd, 2025. I thought wow, everyone appears to be winning. I didn't see anyone signing papers for jackpots but definitely it was a day that players could feel they might have a chance of winning. The downside was one of the unisex restroom. There was urine on the toilet, on the floor... I had to place multiple covers on it because I need to go right away. As soon as I was done and washed my hands, I sprinted out of that restroom. Who cares if I dry my hands. An older gentleman was going to use it, but I basically told him what was in that restroom, he immediately turned around and refuse to use it. I don't know if went and told someone because not long after 3 or 4 staff came to that restroom (with two just standing outside and watched). Why the restroom incident was not ok to me because Pechanga, Soboba, and quite a few other casinos I've been to always has someone that constantly taking care of the restrooms. Not here. I chose not to do any review because beside that problem, everything else was cool... Saturday May 10, 2025. This Saturday, it was impossible to win anything. I withdrew more money to try the different slots throughout the casino. Definitely it was different from the previous Saturday. Almost every single slot don't pay and it was almost impossible to even get one bonus (like the existence almost none). After waiting for so long for the bonus, you would expect it to at least do something, but sadly, no. And this was basically 98% of all the slots I've tried. The other 2%, which I thought I should give, was ok. Not like it was anything big or anything. For example, my bet was anywhere from $2.40 to $5 a spin and you win between $1something to maybe $100. The $100 was too rare to change that 2%. I made the decision that it's not worth it to come back here even with one single jackpot I won in 2023 that required my signature and hand-pay was only $1,300. The winning(s) was just too far in between that Pauma Casino isn't worth it as compared to others. I wanted to use the restroom again before making my way back home. This particular restroom was ok. There were trash on the toilet seat (the seat cover) and trash on the floor, but there were at least a 2 or 3 decent stalls for me to use. A woman entered the restroom while I was washing my hands and she was being loud, banging doors, slamming her trashcan while picking trash up from the floor. In my mind, I was like, if you're this unhappy about your job, why are you here? Or did she felt that she was comfortable enough to do it in presence to not care. Honestly, I can't blame her for her anger because it's the players who used those stalls that didn't care enough to put the trash where it's supposed to be. I just walked out and left the casino with my husband. There's no point of complaining to anyone because I won't be returning. Have just started coming here for my "Disneyland" fix. I play the tables and the casino has 5.00 blackjack/ 10.00 Pai gow. I enjoy the play but can't afford the higher stakes table at the "bigger" casino games. The casino also provides player credits for play & food with the Deli providing exception "huge" sandwiches for reasonable prices although it doesn't provide tables for dining.
