We had three companies give us an estimate for both termite treatment and pest control service for our two story home and had a positive experience using thebugman Termite & Pest Control. Although they were comparable in price to other companies, their Sales Inspector Eddie Hernandez won us over. He was very informative and even took a specimen sample to test what type of ants we had (Argentine Ants). Although we put off the pest control service for now, we paid for a local treatment of drywood termites, screen attic vents, wood repair and signed up for the Annual Termite Service agreement. The local treatment took one day to complete, which they were thorough and clean. The second step was the wood repair which entailed two technicians, Arturo Gonzalez and Daniel Montes working 1.5 days. They arrived on time each day, layed down a tarp to work and cleaned up. They were very professional, friendly and went over and above our expectations. For example, we expected the new lumber would have a primer coat prior to installation on all sides including end cuts but we thought we would be hiring a painter to paint afterwards. Arturo cut off a wood sample to match and he said he would paint it if I provided the paint. He said he is already up there so it is not a big deal. Well it was very much appreciated not to have to hire a painter or climb up a ladder and do it ourselves. Arturo and Daniel also replaced a piece of damaged wood that was not on the original diagram. Lastly, our tiled roof had loose nails exposed and I feared the tiles could eventually fall off. They not only fixed the problem but secured it with screws instead of nails. I reached out to multiple companies to provide a termite inspection on my home and get quotes for repairs and fumigation services. My first experience with The Bugman was when their inspector, Fernando Morales, paid a visit to our house. I was highly impressed with Fernando. He was far more thorough with his inspection than the other service providers. He was extremely helpful and answered all of our questions. His quote documentation providing a detailed listing of all the suggested repairs and the pricing was competitive with the other vendors. My next experience with was when The Bugman's carpenters Tony Rubalcava and Oscar Perez visited the house to conduct the repairs. Tony and Oscar were fantastic. They were highly professional, took pride in their work and kept us informed of their progress. After they finished all their work, they walked me around the home and pointed out each repair performed. A few days later, The Bugman's fumigation team arrived to tent our house. The team leader was quick but thorough in his responsibilities. We went through an inspection of the home to make sure that there were no medicines or food left out. We also quickly made sure that all cabinets and drawers were open so that the gasses would not be trapped in those areas once the house was ventilated. I have been using The Bugman for all my quarterly insect control. My tech is ckean, friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. But now I needed something more serious. I had termites. So I called for a free inspection. The inspector, Ed, was also very clean, nice and thorough. He found all the infected areas and suggested they be treated to kill the termites and then repair the damaged wood. In a week a technician arrive, on time, to treat the infected areas. But I told him he could not start on the 2nd story until they sent a 2nd tech to hold the ladder. (Its a safety rule they were going to skip) Another tech arrived and they proceeded. Again they were very nice and very thorough. In another week, Ed and the head Carpenter, Art, inspected again and explained how they would proceed with the wood damage replacement. In another week, Art and Daniel started the wood repair. This was not an easy job. Many rafter tails and fascia boards on the 2nd story had to be replaced. But Art and Daniel did a wonderful job. They were clean, thorough and answered all of my questions. Also it was in the 90's but they never complained. The rafters and fascia look so solid now and they primed all sides of the wood before installing. My only complaint is, I had to insist that they call for an additional man to hold the ladder. On one side of my house the ladders had a very unstable footing and did not seem safe. I did not want either of these nice men to get hurt. So, The Bugman, you need to follow your own safety rules. read more

I have used the Bugman for several years to treat my house for ants. So when I noticed what appeared to be termite damage, I called for a free inspection. Eddie came out promptly and did a thorough inspection of the entire house and explained all of my options. Yes, they offer tenting, but I did not want to move out (both my roommate and I have pets), so he explained alternate treatments. I had 2 other inspections, but one sub-contracted out the damage repairs which I did not want, and I did not like the chemicals used by the other. Bugman uses a treatment that keeps on treating - the termites take it back to their nest. So I signed up with The Bugman and Eddie returned and explained exactly what repairs were needed and how they would do them. Luis and Rudy showed up promptly on our agreed-upon schedule and began working on the house. There were a lot of repairs and it was a 2-story house! But they were very professional and were able to replace a lot of wood in just 4 days! They were very careful not to destroy plants and garden items and they cleaned up the entire property every evening before they left. It was expensive because of the extent of the damage, but I feel confident that the termites are gone and I would recommend The Bugman and Eddie, Luis and Rudy if you have a similar problem! read more

When vetting their company I spoke with Nichole and she was VERY knowledgeable about their services and clearly explained how they would approach and provide support with the spider problem we were having. Their rates were competitive with the other companies and now I just needed to see if they would follow-through on the services they committed to. The answer is YES! Joe Palma was my technician who showed up on time. At first glance I was impressed with how clean his uniform was. For some reason I thought a technicians outfit would be dirty. On my first visit we walked my property and he explained everything to me. I ask a lot of questions and was impressed with his answers. He has been with his company for 5+ years. That says a lot to me about how they treat their employees. Joe visits us every few months and if I need a service in-between I just call and they show up that week with no extra charge. I have had rodents at my house since we moved to Temecula 5 years ago. I have never been able to figure out why the heck we have them but none of my neighbors ever seem to get any. I called a couple different companies to come out and no one was ever able to eliminate my problem. I ended up seeing one of the blue trucks on a street by my house and thought they were cute, so I gave them a call. I cant believe how friendly the office staff was, it may have been my imagination but I really felt like they cared. I was set up to have Eric come out to my house and I swear in the first week he caught 6 rats! GROSS!!!!! I mean seriously GROSS! I couldn't be more impressed with the service I received from The Bugman! I called five different companies for quotes on tenting my house because I noticed some damaged facias around the outside and thought they might be caused by termites. Isaiah from The Bugman went above and beyond in his inspection. Instead of just giving me a quote and leaving like the other companies, he thoroughly examined the facias, even poking them to confirm there were no termite droppings buried in the damage. He explained that the damage was actually due to water, not termites. Isaiah didn't stop there--he even crawled under the house to check for any underground termite activity, ensuring there were no hidden problems. I have been a customer for some time, not only for my residence but also a couple other family homes. We have had amazing service over the years with Pat and Jack, whom we miss. We recently had service for termites, at different times, Eddie, Fernando, Mario and I'm not sure his partner's name (sorry), they were all very professional and courteous. Plus they all explained everything and cleaned up during and after the job. I would also like to thank our monthly technician Mark Goldin who is very professional and accommodating. He does a great job which shows, we get less critters except for spiders but it's a lot less. He did explain why, so we're going to handle the issue. He is also very patient and kind while I try and secure the dogs, which is a big challenge... big dogs! Let me not forget the customer service in the office, it's amazing. I was recently referred to this company by a friend because of a bee swarm issue. John was amazing and went above and beyond to remedy the problem! I was so impressed by this company that I am moving my annual termite preventative service from a company I have used for 15 years to this company! I enrolled in their quarterly bug remediation service and am updating my previous review. I continue to be top box satisfied with John and his expertise and thoroughness but this time I was completely satisfied with the philosophy of the company. I received their email to schedule my quarterly service and called to select a different date/time and confirm that John was still the tech assigned to my area. Initially, I was told John had been rotated to another area but upon my expressing concern about changing techs, I was assured John would be responding to my service. I was thrilled!! There is nothing I dislike more that finding a tech with a company and having that person rotated away. There were three distinct parts to my experience with The Bug Man. First Ed G. came out to perform a free termite inspection. He was on time, clean, professional, thorough (climbed throughout the attic and crawled extensively under the house), patient, and clear in communicating where the termites were and what could be done. He was great. Second was scheduling the work through the office. There was a little glitch, but they were very responsive in actively listening to my complaint and addressing it promptly. Third, Jeremy N. came out to perform the treatment. He was thorough, neat, explained everything he was doing and why, took time to answer all of my questions, and went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. I knew before they came that I had termites, as I'd seen their sawdust-like droppings. These guys didn't try to BS me or up-sell me. I have a 2-story house so they had a lot of climbing to do! But they managed to replace all the damaged wood without damaging the roof or any of the landscaping around the house. Jon and Gerald arrived exactly on time to treat the termites and called to notify me of the arrival time. Jon and Gerald were very knowledgeable and professional. They explained the treatment process step by step. Thanks Jon and Gerald. Two weeks later a very skilled carpenter, Tony, and his assistants arrived to remove and replace damaged wood and shingles. Tony did an amazing job and even painted the wood for us, as we had fresh paint available from a recent paint job. Tony explained the step by step process and was very experienced.
