I order the Ube matcha, but they were out! I learned that they make their ube in house and once it out for the day it's out. So my next choice was the banana matcha. I imagined a matcha with banana flavoring, but to my surprise the matcha contained actual banana in it. I was a bit caught off guard, not complaining though, of its thick consistency for a matcha. It was definitely tasty though. The next time I went back I opted for their cafe de olla, hot (only served on the weekends). The cafe de olla was delicious! I had it black and it was perfect. The service was great and the ambiance with the "Jesus loves you latte" is cutest.

I wasn't sure what to order, but after trying their fresh-made ube cold foam (which I don't usually even like), I was sold. I got a vanilla latte with ube cold foam, and it was so good. It's also a great quiet spot to get work done. Just note they close early at 4 PM and can be easy to miss, look for the window sign. Definitely worth stopping by.

The coffee tastes like a clean, bitter, cold brew with a foamy top. (Important: Bring Cash. There's a 4% Cash Discount.) I arrived at Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) on Thursday (around 12:13PM). Parking is simple but busy. There's a side lot for customers; sign says, "2 Hour Parking." Staff is courteous, no-nonsense, and diligent. Staff worked hard. Staff quickly answered all my questions. My coffee took about three minutes. Good time. As mentioned, I ordered the Nitro Cold Brew ($9 - Large - 24oz). The coffee is very standard. It tastes exactly like any imagined cold brew coffee. Personally, the roast tasted a little burnt, but it's a common, familiar coffee flavor. The strength was weak for a nitro, but the HUGE SIZE and affordability balances it all out. This is a functional, budget drink. On ambiance, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) is a HUGE success. There's a lot of utility. The location has a self-serve water station, public internet with no password, stacked high chairs for children, two game corners (ex: Chess, Giant Connect 4, Giant Jenga, Uno Cards, Etc), and about one available electrical outlet. I also appreciated the retro, upbeat music and 1930s movie decor. In addition, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) has plenty of seating. There's about four interior tables, but there's also 16 outside patio tables. The location is clean, well-maintained, and well ventilated. Overall, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) is a good, local neighborhood spot. It offers affordable choice that are prepared "good enough." I wouldn't drive a long distance for this spot, but it's a decent option if you're already nearby. 4.5 out of 5

If you plan on visiting, I definitely recommend taking a peek at their large menu online before you get there so you have an idea of what you want. They have a huge patio area with fun games to play for the entire family, which is a great touch. The inside is a bit small with only a few tables and a little area to order, but the outdoor space really makes up for it. The staff was amazing in guiding my family and me toward the best food options for what we were craving. I ended up ordering the B.T.S.A. sandwich, which was a lovely combination of toasted bread, mayo, avocado, spinach, bacon, and tomato. It was a well-balanced comfort meal that really filled me up. For the side, I chose the cucumber over the fruit and sprinkled a little salt on top, making it a perfect pairing. I enjoyed the whole meal with an iced tea and really look forward to trying it again. I would love to come back on the weekend if I can manage to find a parking spot!

They have fun with their menu here; you can find a seasonal menu every now and then, and have menu items like their Pandan Vietnamese Coffee, which is delicious by the way, to a creamy Dubai chocolate latte, to a sweet citrus peach green tea and smores chai. I told you they are fun, right? They also have the standard fully customizable menu with Americanos, cappuccinos, mochas, cold brews, etc. My fiancé chose Pressed + Flower to be our Sunday morning treat, knowing I am a sucker for anything cold and sweet while the sunshine is out. We got a Cold Brew w/ Cold Foam + Pandan Vietnamese Coffee to sit inside. Originally we were just planning for a quick to-go order but decided to stay to enjoy their ambiance. The interior is decked out to be just like their menu - fun and whimsy. Upon entering, I was immediately distracted by all the shoppable decor items like their huge mugs, candles, glassware, stickers, and crocheted animals. See, aren't they fun? I would've stayed in this shoppable section for longer and bought something if I weren't so coffee-deprived, but didn't end up purchasing a crocheted animal, although I really wanted to. I will save this thought for my next visit to make sure I can take one home. They have a variety of comfy chairs, and tables for guests to chill on and take a relaxing break while enjoying their coffee or tea. There are games in the front of the store if you want to entertain yourself with friends and hang out. The staff we interacted with were both friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely be back to enjoy more of their fun seasonal drinks and next time, I'll stay awhile longer to enjoy more of the ambiance they curated here. :)

They've got delicious drinks and I love that they still give ceramic mugs when you ask for it (a lot of other places have stopped doing this and just always use the plastic lined wasteful to-go cups). I will likely even bring my family or kids here too as it has so many activities like books and games for young and old. Huge variety of drinks, good breakfast foods like even hot oatmeal, and some lunch food items too, although I haven't tried those yet. The staff are always kind and calm adding to cool vibe. Don't miss the items for sale from local vendors. Fun to browse!

I'm glad I did because the options seemed to be endless! I wasn't sure what to get but the front desk lady was great with questions and challenged us to try something new. There is a small parking lot but I don't see that being an issue as I'm sure most people opt to simply grab and go. They have seating options but in the inside of the shop and outside; located near other shopping centers and a busy street. I had expressed off bat it was my first time here and the women still proceeded to rush me. I inquiried about a panini and she said I cannot order it because they close in 20 minutes. ok sure, I then inquired about a croissant and she denied while the male said yes. I order the egg and cheese croissant. it was okay. I order a matcha with sugar free banana foam. it also tasted ok, EXTREMELY sweet and rocky/sugary??!! I also ordered a viet coffee it was light in color and tasted fake and watered down: not real viet coffee vibes. all 3 items were $17.90 which is a GREAT price. however I will not be coming back. I'll stick to more expensive places that let you order whatever you want during their POSTED OPENED HOURS. I should give 1 star tbh. PS I overheard women talking about "her appointment was 15 minutes ago" which explains her VERY RUSHED AND PUSHY demeanor. Very rude and uncalled for, customers come first. Not whatever you poorly planned on your scheduled work day.
