Friendly staff, a cozy atmosphere, and a great overall experience. We ordered two burger combos--two bacon cheeseburgers, one with added jalapeños--along with an order of regular fries, chili cheese fries, jalapeño poppers, and fried okra. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. The chili cheese fries, jalapeño poppers, and fried okra were all delicious. The only minor disappointment was the regular fries. They were a bit under-seasoned and appeared to be frozen rather than fresh-cut. I personally prefer fresh-cut fries, so that kept them from standing out. One other thing that surprised us was the order of jalapeño poppers. They tasted great, but only four came with the order, which felt a little disappointing for the price. Even with those small critiques, this was a satisfying meal from start to finish. It officially earned a spot in my wife's **Top 5 places to get a burger**. I came across The Burger Factory on TikTok and knew I had to give it a try. It's in the San Pedro and Oblate area, so if you're nearby and craving a great burger, it's definitely worth checking out. When we walked in, the place was empty, so I'll admit I was a little skeptical. But any doubts disappeared after the very first bite. The burger was fantastic! The beef was seasoned really well, cooked perfectly, and all of the toppings came together just right. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger without onions or mustard and substituted mayo instead. It was absolutely delicious. I also got the regular fries, while my husband ordered the chili cheese fries. That chili was so flavorful. I ended up stealing a few bites because it was that good! The only downside was that their Dr Pepper machine was out of order. Definitely a sad moment for this Texas girl! Other than that, everything was excellent. I decided to stop by Burger Factory after an unfortunate incident at Dough Pizzeria on Blanco. Thankfully, this spot turned out to be a much better experience. When I walked in, there weren't many people there, and the place immediately stood out as very clean and well kept. The staff was also incredibly friendly. The cashier was especially helpful--she answered all my questions, gave a few recommendations, and was just genuinely nice throughout the ordering process. I ordered the cheeseburger, which normally comes with grilled onions, mustard, and cheese. Since I'm not a big fan of mustard, I swapped it for mayonnaise. The pickles come on the side.I also ordered French fries and jalapeño poppers. The food came out quickly, and everything was nice and hot. The burger itself was really good--the cheese was perfectly melted, and the patty reminded me a bit of a smashburger. It was thin, which I personally prefer since I'm not a fan of those thick, chunky burger patties. The grilled onions added a great flavor, and honestly it reminded me of a simple burger you'd make at a backyard barbecue--nothing overly fancy, just solid and satisfying. The fries were freshly made and came in a basket. They were hot and super crunchy, and I actually ended up taking some home because the portion size was substantial. The jalapeño poppers, however, weren't my favorite. They tasted more like something you'd pick up frozen from the grocery store and cook at home. They were also a little cold by the time I got to them, so I probably wouldn't order those again. Overall though, it was a good dining experience with friendly service, quick food, and a solid burger. Arrived around 6:45 PM on Wednesday 22 July 2026 and not a soul was in a booth. We ate our burgers and still no one had entered the doors - not even for a take out order. The posted health score was 90/100. The place was spotless - really clean. The booths appeared to be new - not hand me downs from some place that wore them out. The shopping center has seen better days and the Chinese buffet a few doors to the north is shuttered. This means there is a great deal of open parking. The order taker was a most pleasant young lady. Bubbling with happiness. We ordered our food and in just a few minutes she delivered it to the table along with squeeze containers of ketchup, mustard & mayonnaise. All from the cooler. Plenty of napkins on the table as well as shakers of salt & pepper. My friend's side was onion rings - turned out to be a "generous" order, properly cooked, yet that could not redeem them as they were from frozen, not freshly made in house. I accepted the offer to take some and I did. On par with the frozen ones at Chester's (not a compliment) and far and away from what Tycoon Flats serves at both of their locations, those are exemplary. Now for the review of the hamburgers: Al ordered the cheeseburger and I ordered the double meat cheeseburger. They were served hot off the grill on toasted buns with grilled onions. I had the gratis tomato slice added to mine (neither one had lettuce). Now is the difficult part - I am not a fan of smash burgers, which these are. I enjoy a juicy medium rare to rare burger. So we have burgers that have squeezed of their natural juices and are well done. Al like his (pretty much) and I liked mine. If one likes smash burgers then this a good place to try out. Reasonably priced with good size portions - fresh (except for the onion rings - don't know about the fries and I am 99.99% certain the fried okra is also from a bag). This may be a somewhat unfair rating due to my preference for juicy burgers. Nevertheless The Burger Factory is friendly, clean, prompt and the burgers will appeal to the aficionados of the smashed variety. You can get pickles on the side, but no lettuce and tomato. We had their chili, cheese fries. The chili is not homemade here (they told me) but it's a Detroit style chili. It's not bad. Located on the corner of Oblate and San Pedro, this burger place offers fast and friendly service with flavorful food. It's pretty spacious with plenty of booths for seating and delightfully clean. I went in today(Friday) after lunch and there were only a couple of people there. I had rested a burger, onion rings and a vanilla milkshake. I was surprised that my total was $19.45. I was expecting it to be a little less expensive. My wait time was probably around five minutes so that was a plus. The order of onions rings were larger than expected in size. The taste was great as they were made with real onions. The burger looked a little small but once I started eating it I realized I wasn't going to be able to eat it all! The burger came with mustard, pickles and grilled onions. It was quite flavorful, almost like a burger you'd make at home. The milkshake was delicious in taste but I would have like the consistency to be thicker. The service was fast and friendly. I can't believe this place hasn't been reviewed yet considering the amount of people eating there when we visited yesterday! Not your typical burger place, it's a "Detroit style" burger place. I didn't even know that was a thing, but I'm glad it is! Got two doubles and a coney to try. They said it was a smash burger but the patties were thicker than your average smash burger. It comes on a nice soft bun with grilled onion strings and gooey cheese, pickles on the side. Flavor-wise, it reminded me of a White Castle cheeseburger, but far far better and without the side effects (iykyk!). The pickles were plentiful and I enjoyed them in the side, alternating bites between burger and pickle. I would gladly eat this burger again and again. Fries were thin cut, like typical fast food fries, and they were cooked perfectly and served hot, albeit slightly salty for my taste. Still really good! The Coney dog also had great flavor. The only issue I had with it was that everything fell right through the bottom of the bun as soon as I picked it up. I would either use a knife and fork next time, or skip it entirely, but only because I didn't enjoy having my hands covered in chili, mustard, and onions. Be prepared for that if you go for the Coney. I wish the drink dispenser had Coke products. I'd even take Pepsi if I had to! They carry RC Cola. Mind you, I enjoyed that back in the day but my tastebuds no longer care for it much. There's tea, 7-up, other sodas, milkshakes (order at the counter) if you want something else. The Burger Factory occupies another former burger place. Plenty of seating and room for more tables if they wanted to add more. Everything was clean, too. I tried this restaurant for the first time and I gotta say for getting food at 9:30 and they close at 10 the food was still amazing. The burger was crispy but not burnt and still juicy. The service was very quick. He said he could have it ready in 15 minutes when I called and ordered it over the phone and it was ready when I got there but not sitting there so it wasn't cold.
