Krazy Katsu is undoubtedly a hidden gem! It's pretty unassuming from the outside- a cute decorated train cart with some outdoor patio seating. But their food is easily some of the best Asian fusion in San Antonio. Everything was a FLAVOR BOMB. You cannot go without trying their pandan burger. And their banana pudding is so yummy. Their saiyan tacos are like bites of heaven ... But we tried everything and we're blown away. The staff is incredibly sweet and nice. The restroom is clean and there's seating inside but its hot either way so we enjoyed the shaded patio and tvs. Highly reccommend this place for anyone looking for something unique and flavorful.

Bangin chicken for sure but their burgers are super worth trying too, especially if they have the pandan buns available. Tons of great flavors and toppings galore, the macaroni topped chicken sando is my go-to and if they have the curry katsu, I'm elated. Take the homies, order some of their chicken slider flights and maybe split a burger and you'll find your new go-to order but I haven't been disappointed by any visit.

We stopped for coffee and saw the cute chicken logo on the building, so of course we had to check it out. Very reasonable prices! We had the chicken strip meal which came with fries and a small cole slaw and a $5 smash burger. The chicken was moist and tender. They have a large selection of dipping sauces! The smash burger was also delicious. Cashier was very friendly. They have a small seating area indoors, and a very nice patio seating area. Definitely recommend that you check it out!

OMFG!!! This place was off the charts. I was hangry and couldn't decide what I wanted. They ended up recommending a choice with 3 sliders. The Deebo was to die for. Also ordered a side of filthy animal fries that could have been a full course meal all on its own. This was just the food. The people there added to the place. They came out and talked to us for quite awhile. Made us feel like we had been going there for years. Just moved right around the corner from here. This is going to become a weekly visit for us. If I could give higher than 5 stars I would.

Chicken Katsu Tender Meal (w FRIES and SLAW) - SPECIAL Sauces: BBQ Gochujang, Chipotle Ranch, Smack Sauce

I think I just found my new favorite restaurant here in San Antonio! Krazy Katsu is located at The Yard Shopping Center. The complex is a really cool area where all the stores are located in train carts, next to a train track. The patio was really nice as there was an event going on and music too. That patio was also pet friendly! The lady who took my order was also very patient and happy to explain their menu as they have a lot of choices. We got the *5 piece Katsu Nunchucks Meal that comes with fries, slaw and 3 sauces (BBQ Gochujang, Chipotle Ranch, and Smack Sauce) We also got *1 Slide Chick with the Asian Hot Honey Flavor. The total came out to $43.88 with 2 drinks, but considering the fact the tenders were HUGEE... I'd say it was definitely worth it! The chicken was crispy but juicy while the sauces were all super unique and flavorful. There were so many unique, yummy options on the menu that I had a hard time choosing. I will definitely be back again to try more on their menu and highly recommend everyone visit Krazy Katsu to satisfy your fried chicken cravings!

Been wanting to try this place for a while but didn't realize how close it was to the quarry! Took it to-go, the location is a little small but with a huge patio and tvs on the deck. The food was great and the katsu is very crispy and crunchy. We both loved the flavors of the katsu, Mac, and OG fries. The vivis fries were good but I feel like the cheese sauce solidified too fast and then it was hard to eat. Maybe a little less sauce on the to-go orders would work better but since we did to-go it could also be the distance we drove home before eating. The lady near the front counter was super nice and helpful to help us get our order. Will need to return when we are near the quarry.

This place is awesome. The food is delicious and you get a lot of it. You will no walk away hungry. The staff were very nice and friendly. The only thing I would give a negative is the fries. The fries are just okay. They are too thick in my opinion. The seasoning was good not great. I think it's a place to check out if you're interested in a good meal.

Amazing service and great food! This is the food truck so I can speak on atmosphere but the service is outstanding and the food is fresh! It was our first time and we are in love!

An amazing chicken sandwich spot housed in a cool old train car!

Krazy Katsu is home to the biggest and possibly the crispiest chicken sandwich this side of the Mississippi - and the other side, too! These sandwiches are MASSIVE! Come hungry! The options are plentiful, but my go-to faves are the Anchor and the Deebo. All their sandwiches come on fluffy buns made fresh by a local (legendary) bakery and brought in daily. Pro tip: order the 3 slide chicks and try 3 different "mini" sandwiches. Be warned, even the sliders are substantial. The sides are great, too! Their house-made Japanese pickled cucumbers are tangy and sweet; the perfect side for the sandwiches. Low-carb? No prob! Ask for grilled chicken (and double the protein - because... why not?) on any of the sandwiches! One more thing, and this is a fun one: this place makes the tastiest smash burger in San Antonio! If chicken isn't your thing or you want to change things up, order one of their burgers. You won't regret it.

A good truck feel but stationary with outdoor patio seating only. This place was delicious! If you are hungry, a couple of their oversized chicken tenders will be plentiful. The outside was crispy savoring each bite! There are a few outdoor seating under a shaded canopy, but this probably won't do much in the summer heat. There are a lot of flies that require constant swatting. The service was friendly and very helpful by explaining everything off the menu of it is your first time there like us. Will definitely be back. Enjoy!

Krazy Katsu has a very cozy dining area and great customer service, however I was not a fan of the food itself. I ordered the 3 tender meal and the OG Katsu Fries (the name was something similar to that), and was slightly disappointed that the food didn't taste as good as it looked. The breading they use on the chicken is very crispy (which I liked), however it had a slight aftertaste that sort of reminded me of cheap fried school lunch. The regular fries were very good however, but the OG Katsu fries were drowned in cheese and sauce. To a point where it made my stomach hurt midway through the meal. Overall, I'd be hesitant to give this place another visit, but I'll keep an open mind in the future; I'd like to try their spicy options.

The BEST of the BEST. 2 of the best tasting chicken sliders with extra crispy crinkle seasoned fries, O G slider and Hot Kutsu so DELICIOUS. The best customer service ever and ALWAYS. This is the place to come eat on a dime, $5 smashed burger and $10 slider combo with fries.

4 stars because there's only like 1 combo meal and the rest you have to pay for everything separate like fries and a drink HOWEVER .. The food was amazing and extremely filling! I got the 3 tender plate and I ate 1 tender!!! and i was full The service was great and the lady at the front (didn't get her name) Was super nice! The ambience was great we went to a birthday lunch here and since it was nice and breezy outside it was perfect. I would definitely go back when i'm craving a good chicken meal

Do they have grilled chicken or a gluten free bun?

Hi Lauren! We do offer grilled options for any of our chicken items. While we don’t have gluten-free buns, you’re welcome to bring your favorite gluten-free bun, and we’ll gladly use it for your order. Hope to see you soon!

Any vegan option whether it be a tofu katsu or chikn katsu type sandwiches?

The only vegan option would be the Mac n cheese

So, when co-workers wanted to go yesterday, I jumped on it. Don't get me wrong. I love the vibe of this place. I LOVE their story. It's very NY/Northeastern deli feel (they're from Pittsburgh, but you get my drift, right!?). No nonsense. Small inside area. No tables inside. Just enough room to look at the menu, order, and go wait outside. I opted for the chicken bacon ranch on hoagie. What came out was a decent size sandwich, but incredibly messy and soggy. There was so much juice/ liquid the sandwich quickly became unmanageable and just disintegrated. Look, if you're going to serve a sandwich that messy, please upgrade your napkins. It was a one bite - two napkin ratio. The sandwich was good, but the mess and difficulty eating it just took away any enjoyment. Additionally, the flies outside rivaled the worst I've experienced. Do you remember the scene in the Lost World, Jurassic Park movie when the hunters found the Rex nest!? Okay, okay, maybe not that bad, but it was a lot. Hang some fly bags or strips or somethin'. Found price to be a little high. By the time I bought chips and a drink, plus tip: $22. Just FYI: my co-worker disagrees. He thought it was the BEST SANDWICH HE'D EVER HAD. So, yes, go give them a try, but bring a beach towel for clean up.

Usually Wagyu is known to be juicy and moist, but this tasted nothing like that caliber. It was disappointing but at least not very pricy. Fries were okay but pretty chopped up and not the style I prefer. Some of the other places looked promising like the ice cream and cafe. The poke/ceviche also sounded good on paper but when we walked by (maybe around 1.5-2 hours before closing), the quality of the raw fish didn't look too great and was a little discolored so we passed.
