While the size of the katsu was generous, the flavor and texture was lacking. My slider was drenched in a sweet chili sauce that made it very hard to eat without flies coming to my table every second and it was a very sticky experience. There was only outside seating at the time. There was no heat at all in the sauce-- it was sweet (despite receiving a recommendation on which lvl to order if I wanted a little bit of heat.) since it was drunk with sauce, it wasn't as crispy as I wanted. But then... when the lady walked in and placed her order a good deal of time AFTER I ordered and sat down...when she got her food a good ten minutes BEFORE I got mine....no, man. No. I think they saw the displeasure on my face, because some commented my food would be out soon. I ordered the anchor sandwich. I should have said yes when asked if I wanted my receipt...only then would I have been able to prove they brought it the wrong sandwich. Either that...or they just call basic vinegar based red buffalo sauce "mild spicy aioli". Additionally, I didn't know blue cheese crumbles were also known as "American cheese". Seems the only thing they got right was my request for "no tomato ". The chicken was dry and over fried. It was cool on the inside: it definitely wasn't fresh. That sandwich definitely wasn't worth the money. The loaded fries (Flithy Animal), on the other hand...I might go back solo for those. Their drink fridge was all but empty ( although they were receiving delivery as I ate)...and their health score was a mildly concerning. Krazy Katsu is undoubtedly a hidden gem! It's pretty unassuming from the outside- a cute decorated train cart with some outdoor patio seating. But their food is easily some of the best Asian fusion in San Antonio. Everything was a FLAVOR BOMB. You cannot go without trying their pandan burger. And their banana pudding is so yummy. We stopped for coffee and saw the cute chicken logo on the building, so of course we had to check it out. Very reasonable prices! I think I just found my new favorite restaurant here in San Antonio! Krazy Katsu is located at The Yard Shopping Center. The complex is a really cool area where all the stores are located in train carts, next to a train track. The patio was really nice as there was an event going on and music too. That patio was also pet friendly! The lady who took my order was also very patient and happy to explain their menu as they have a lot of choices. We got the *5 piece Katsu Nunchucks Meal that comes with fries, slaw and 3 sauces (BBQ Gochujang, Chipotle Ranch, and Smack Sauce) We also got *1 Slide Chick with the Asian Hot Honey Flavor. The total came out to $43.88 with 2 drinks, but considering the fact the tenders were HUGEE... I'd say it was definitely worth it! The chicken was crispy but juicy while the sauces were all super unique and flavorful. There were so many unique, yummy options on the menu that I had a hard time choosing. Been wanting to try this place for a while but didn't realize how close it was to the quarry! Took it to-go, the location is a little small but with a huge patio and tvs on the deck. The food was great and the katsu is very crispy and crunchy. We both loved the flavors of the katsu, Mac, and OG fries. The vivis fries were good but I feel like the cheese sauce solidified too fast and then it was hard to eat. Maybe a little less sauce on the to-go orders would work better but since we did to-go it could also be the distance we drove home before eating. This place is such a hidden gem! I came here for my friends birthday & was so excited because I love katsu curry. I was thrilled of the idea of a katsu chicken sandwich. I did have a bit of trouble deciding on what to order bc all of the menu sounded amazing. I ended up going with the Asian hot honey chicken sandwich and I am glad I did! Chicken was perfectly crispy & the sauce was delicious not too spicy or overly sweet. Krazy Katsu has a very cozy dining area and great customer service, however I was not a fan of the food itself. I ordered the 3 tender meal and the OG Katsu Fries (the name was something similar to that), and was slightly disappointed that the food didn't taste as good as it looked. The breading they use on the chicken is very crispy (which I liked), however it had a slight aftertaste that sort of reminded me of cheap fried school lunch. The regular fries were very good however, but the OG Katsu fries were drowned in cheese and sauce. To a point where it made my stomach hurt midway through the meal. The panko breading was delicious and there was plenty of chicken in the big sandwich. I had half of my mom's Asian Samurai and that had some soy drizzle, spicy mayo, and spicy pickles. My daughter loved the Mac and cheese, but my mom said it was too cheesy (take your pick). The Katzu bites come in 15ct. And they are not tiny tenders, so consider your appetite. They are located at the edge of Olmos Park on the back side of a little plaza which is not very visible if you are driving through McCullough Ave. Their space is super cool and they are inside an old train container which gives it a very unique vibe. The specialize in asian inspired chicken sandwiches but also have other amazing items like burgers, fries and some healthier options like grilled chicken over rice. My absolute two favorites were the Pandam Smash Burger and the Grilled Samurai Bowl. They were both packed with flavor and tasted delicious. The chicken sandwiches are very good. They're very thick and complimented well by the amount of bread. There is a lot of chicken in these sandwiches. A LOT of chicken. Chicken will be sticking out the side of your sandwich by a few inches. I'd guess the chicken is 1.5 to 2 times as large as the sandwich bread. Try the hot katsu (3 hot symbols on the menu) if you like spice at all because it's not overpowering but does remind you it's there. The price might be a tad high, but it's worth the experience. There is only minimal indoor seating so visit on a pleasant day. The patio does have shading and fans with a light water spray for added cooling. Online ordering is available, but order well ahead because in my experience staff is slow to prepare them. read more

You can order at the outdoor dining tables, but I wanted to see descriptions of the various sandwiches. The nice thing is any sandwich can be made into a slider. So many choices. Such a small stomach. I decided to go with the Last Samurai Sandwich, Original Katsu Sandwich (O.G.), and K-Pop Sandwich in slider form. That chicken was the crispiest I have ever eaten while the white meat breast was still juicy and flavorful. My favorite was the K-Pop with the kimchi. I make my own kimchi sometimes chop it up and use it for turkey sandwiches at home. A couple things detract from a five star review. The slider buns were a little cold and could be better with a little butter and toasting on a flat top. The other things was a large number of flies on the patio that kept landing on my sliders. Word of caution to anyone who doesn't like vegetables: the bowls come with pickled radish, kimchi and pickled sweet cucumbers. I loved all the veggies but my fiance is not as much of a fan in general. I was happy to eat his veggies, the kimchi was especially crisp, delicious and not overly spicy. Everything came on a bed of rice drizzled with Kewpie mayo. There were quite a few flies outside so we left early to finish our meals at home.
