This is a great local place! Mom and Pop burger dive you will not be disappointed! We were working out of town and wanted burgers but not the usual chain stuff. Found this little gem and loved it. They were busy had 25 people show up at once. They got orders in and out fast! The ingredients are fresh, the buns were great. Favorites are avocado cheeseburger, waffle fries, onion rings and fried zucchini. Prices here are good and the servings match the price point. It's an old restaurant and could use an update but don't let that stop you from trying it. It's a fast food restaurant nothing fancy just good food. The staff is polite enough but they are fast with orders and that makes up for a lot. We would come back. read more

Doesnt look like much from the outside with a logo that resembles Gamestop. Also the pictures of the food don't look all that special either. But looks aren't everything. This place is all substance to me at a fair price. My go to order Is the avocado bacon cheeseburger with a side of waffle fries. The burger patty has the right amount of seasoning. The bun is toasted the right amount. Combine that with their tasty special sauce, bacon with the right amount of crispiness and saltiness, avocado and some pickles and it just reaches pure satisfaction for me. Its a weekly ritual for me moving forward and I dont see it changing soon unless I'm on a diet or something. I think it shares the crown with Peter's Gourmade Grill for best burger in OC. read more

If you just want a really good simple cheeseburger, this little gem is definitely worth checking out. The prices are very reasonable for the quantity and portion you receive especially with prices rising at most fast food chains. They were busy tonight with the air conditioning temporarily broken during one of the hottest days, but the staff were friendly and hardworking filling orders with care and a fan running (a service man eventually fixed it an hour before closing.) The ice machine also temporarily got jammed with a group of customers trying to get drinks, but a staff member got on a step stool to scoop ice during the busy dinner hour because he couldn't unjam it from the dispenser below with tongs. The woman who was working the register was sweet and professional when customers received their food to ensure the accuracy of their order. The place is casual and has some outdoor seating. Overall, I was really impressed and will be back. Remember to order the waffle fries! read more

I tried The Burgerstop for the first time today, and it didn't disappoint. Let me start by recognizing Angel. He was doing a little of everything. He was taking orders, answering phones, and prepping orders. He was very calm and handled business. The place was busy and now I know the reason behind it. The food was delicious. We ordered a BBQ bacon burger, cheeseburger, junior cheeseburger, zucchini fries, and chili cheese fries. The ambiance was good, I definitely recommend this burger spot. read more

This is a little hole in the wall on Warner near Main. The cashier reminded me of the guy at Billy Goat Tavern in Chicago, yelling out "cheeburger, cheeburger." The bacon cheeseburger was very good and the waffle fries were crispy and tasty. Both were more than I needed but if you're packing a big appetite this is your place. The prices are also great. My husband was craving a good burger. I was tired of the same 'ol, so decided to blurt out a couple places he hasn't tried. We decided on The BurgerStop. It's sitting right on the corner of Warner/S Broadway (small side street). I suggest parking along Broadway side bc it's easier to get in/out. You can't eat inside yet, but there's many tables outside. Everyone is wearing masks and they shield the cash register. The owners are a lovely Asian couple and are SO nice. The menu is pretty simple, but the food is delicious. This was my 3rd visit in quite a few years, but I always get the Avocado Bacon Cheeseburger with grilled onions in a combo. I would have to say this place might have the best "ABC" in OC. The avocado slices/chunks are plentiful in every bite, the burger patty isn't dry and the thousand island-type dressing is bomb. My husband loved his cheeseburger as well. The fries are also crispy & hot. I think the bonus is Horchata & Jamaica fountain drinks. The BurgerStop is a small, fast food joint with packed in quality! Amazing. Great food, great prices, great portions, and great ambiance. I was at South Coast Plaza and drove 10m away to try this place and I'm so happy I did. The patty is SO FLAVORFUL, I'm gonna dream about it. I got a mushroom burger and that mushroom + tomato combo blew me away. I didn't know a burger could be this good. Fried zucchini and onion rings were solid. The zucchini was a bit bland, but the ranch fixed that right up. Also they gave a good amount of sides per order (think 2 fist-sizes worth). Not gonna lie, this place is in the middle of nowhere and the roads are in poor condition, but the actual interior is clean and looks well managed. I can't wait to come back. If you're nearby and you're hurting for a burger, I can't recommend The Burger Stop highly enough. read more

This has become our go-to burger spot during the pandemic because the lines and insane traffic have kept us away from In-N-Out. We call in our order and drive over to pick it up because it's usually ready in 10 minutes. We never have issues getting through to place our order and the workers are always friendly and polite. My husband always gets the Avocado Bacon Burger & I'm a fan of their Swiss Mushroom and Swiss Jalapeno Burgers (the latter is spicy - yum!). Their burgers are delicious and filling and I recommend getting a side of onion rings. We ordered the fried zucchini once but it was a little too breaded for us - still tasted good! read more

In my ongoing quest to try all greasy burger spots with fried zucchini and Orange County, I stopped by here the other day for lunch. The first thing that I noticed walking in the restaurant was how easily the floor mats slide on the tile floor, as I came very close to having a matte slide out from under me as I walked in. They should fix this before someone gets hurt! The burger was solid and enjoyable, and the fried zucchini was good, but It was a bit heavy on the breading for my taste. My daughter got the chili cheese waffle fries and those were outstanding! If I do come back to this place, I will definitely get those again. read more

Wanted to try a new mom and pop burger spot so we decided on this place for dinner. We ordered a cheeseburger combo and a pastrami sandwich for pickup on the phone and they sounded pretty busy; I was grateful for them even answering--some places don't when they get that busy. The nice Asian lady on the phone said it'd be ready in 10 minutes. When we got there, we felt a bit unsafe with the location since it was past dark but thankfully the parking is right in front of the entrance. There were maybe ~10 people inside and we didn't stand in line for longer than a minute before being helped. The Asian lady who I spoke to on the phone was training the cashier who was a sweetheart, clearly doing her best. I was impressed with how well everything was run despite there being a number of hungry customers and a new person on the team. We got our food and cups and headed over to the soda fountain where they had the condiment station. I was happily surprised to see they had banana peppers readily available to take home, yummy! The food itself wasn't anything to bark at. I wished the fries were crispier and hoped they had seasoning salt on them. The burger itself wasn't the best I ever had but it definitely ranks higher than other mom and pop places I've tried around the area. I'm glad they put Thousand Island on the burger but I'd say the banana peppers were the saving grace. My gf did enjoy her pastrami though so that's good. Overall, I'd likely give this place another shot with a different burger perhaps. Their great customer service is another reason to go back. read more

I thought hmm burgerstop like truck stop! A ton of burgers must congregate?!?! Sadly, after waiting a couple of hours for burgers to walk in, none ever did. Alas, hungry and sad that I never saw a walking burger, I decided might as well eat right?!?! Got the avocado cheese and I will dare say that it's better than in-n-out! Avo-wha?!?!?! Yup it's the avocado that takes it next level. How else do you compete against a Cali fav?!? They don't go cheap on the avo-wha??? Seriously, they throw half an avocado in there!! This is the BEST burger in OC! Locally owned and great service! There is plenty of parking along the street, but the lot itself is kind of small. Inside ambiance feels homey and like a cozy diner. We ordered the Swiss mushroom burger, avocado cheeseburger, regular fries and chili cheese fries. The burger quality is amazing, taste is delicious, and BIG portion sizes. Both burgers were 10/10!! The chili cheese fries were soooo goood - I think it's definitely enough to share because I couldn't finish. I would rate this place better than your regular fast food places (shake shack, in n out, etc)!! We'll be back for the burgers and to try the zucchini fries!!!! read more
