Mom and pop spot with the no frills type of burger. These are the spots that I enjoy the most. Solid solid spot, its kinda in the cuts so not sure I'll be back but I'm glad I was able to try it out at least once! Bacon cheeseburger because why the heck not. Service was fast and the food was hot! 8/10

Hole in the wall appearance from the outside. Unassuming burger joint. The inside was clean and we were greeted pleasantly by the staff. Ordered a couple sodas, Avocado BLT, Cheeseburger and Onion Rings. Everything was delicious! Husband has not stopped talking about his BLT. We look forward to checking out their breakfast.

Food and customer service were good. Serve time was super fast. I would stop by again if I'm local and in the mood for burgers and fries.

The best burgers in the area! I grew up in Anaheim where burger places like this are everywhere but since I moved to Newport they have been hard to find. Super solid burger, very crisp zucchini fries and good ranch. The service was good, what you would expect in a place like this. Will be coming back very soon.

One of the best burgers I've had for the price. The meat was the best part, it was nice and charred with a good amount of flavor and all the ingredients looked fresh and tasted fresh. The fries were salted nicely and came out hot. Service was fast from the moment I ordered. There's also plenty of seating and parking which is a plus. Will definitely come back to try the other menu items when I'm in the area.

This is a small family owned burger spot. They also have sandwiches, salads, and some breakfast items. Their classic Hamburger is just under $5 and nice sized served with a thousand island type sauce. I love adding an order of zucchini fries, which are also just under $5. Those I usually have to share because they are much more filling than potato fries. Everything is delicious! Some seating inside.

    Colousle Burger and Zucchini.

Don't let this little Restaurant detour for going in. It has 9 tables, 5 are 4 top and the other 4 are 2 top tables. Was greated by a young lady when I walked in, and 6 employees that I could see working. Food came out quick and Hot! I ordered the Colousle Burger and Zucchini. The burger was delicious and the Zucchini was perfectly cooked. Not over cooked at all. With only 9 tables seating can be a little tight. However I would recommend this little Gem

I am glad to say I finally took a chance on this place and I can understand why (at least to me) this is a Santa Ana staple. Me and my cousin arrived around 6:15pm and was able to order immediately. I believe the front counter guy was named Hector, least that what it said on the receipt, he was really helpful and polite! My cousin ordered a bacon avocado burger while I ordered the colossal cheese burger which was basically a pastrami burger and a side of onion rings. The restaurant itself is pretty small but had plenty of seating. Also played some catchy tunes. The food was made fresh to order which was awesome and took about 5-7 minutes for it to come out. The burger itself was huge! And plenty of fries and onion rings came with the order. First trying the onion rings, and they were crispy! Absolutely delicious when you dip them in ranch. Definitely a must try here! The fries itself were fresh and crunchy! Now for the pastrami burger... it came with a generous amount of pastrami and tasted delicious! I'm starting to see why this place is highly rated! I paid around $18 for my entire meal which was honestly a great deal considering the portions of everything. I would highly recommend getting your burger fix here! Definitely get a side of onion rings!

The amount of times I've been here since I told my friend about this place and rediscovered it again. I'm sad that that I kinda forgot about this place I can't tell you. But let's say this is my to go burger place!!! I have never once been disappointed in their service. They are always so nice and very quick!! I feel like if I had to wait 30 min for a burger I would definitely wait!! It had both inside and outside seating!! Which is a plus!! I've never seen it messy. And I like that you can see the ppl cook the burgers for you!! My friends rating Cheese burger 8/10 according to my friend it needed more char taste but that's her personal preference but she said she likes it for not being char Avocado Bacon Cheese 9/10 just cuz she said it had too much avocado for her (she a bit picky) Waffle fries 7/10 Fries 8/10 My review Avocado Cheese burger 100/10 I love the amount of avocado they add!! I always add extra sauce and extra pickle!!!! The sauce is soooo good imo Double cheeseburger with Avocado 100/10 I underestimated how massive it was for me. But still bomb!! Zucchini fries 8/10 I feel like it needs more seasoning Onion ring 9/10 I will say I need to try more stuff but this is my go to place for burgers!!!

    Double double

Great burger stop! Food was delicious, great customer service and nice and clean environment. If they had a drive through that would be awesome

What a great place for a burger for sure! I got a cheese burger combo and it was delicious. This is better than most burger places i been to around the city. They customer service was good. Food came out hot! Soda machine tasted fresh, not flat which is a plus and it's self served. The cheese burger and onion rings overall were extremely good. But the star of the show and i swear are the chicken nuggets! I will say that the chicken nuggets here are some of the best i ever had, better than MCD even. You get 8 piece for $4.50 and they are soo incredible that i will come back and just eat nuggets with their BBQ sauce, just amazing! Yup i know i will be back soon! Food rating: Nuggets 9.5/10 they are FIRE and the best i ever had! Cheese burger 9.0/10 Onion Rings 9.0/10 BBQ sauce 8.9 Ranch dressing 8.7

My son called Culinary Dropout and spoke with Olivia, the hostess, to see if the kitchen was still serving. Olivia responded with genuine warmth and kindness, assuring us that the kitchen was still open and that they would be happy to welcome us. From the moment we arrived, Olivia's hospitality set the tone for an exceptional evening. She greeted us with a warm smile, made us feel genuinely welcome, and promptly seated us. Shortly after, our server, Layla, introduced herself. Despite the late hour, she was energetic, engaging, and had an infectious enthusiasm that elevated the entire dining experience. She expertly recommended several cocktails, along with a glass of wine, and her knowledge of both the bar program and the menu was impressive. Her recommendations for appetizers and entrées were spot on. We decided on the Wagyu Pigs in a Blanket, BBQ Nachos, and the Spicy Rigatoni. Every dish was beautifully prepared, flavorful, and exceeded our expectations. Another team member, Emanuel, delivered one of our dishes and was equally personable and engaging. He took the time to share information about the restaurant, further demonstrating the outstanding level of hospitality displayed by the entire team. Manager Dave also stopped by our table to check on our experience. We shared with him that this was, without question, one of the best dining experiences we've had in Orange County in quite some time. Great food certainly matters, but it was the exceptional service, genuine hospitality, and positive energy of the staff that made the evening truly memorable. A sincere thank you to Layla, Olivia, Emanuel, Dave, and the entire Culinary Dropout team for creating such a first-class dining experience. Their salmon bagel is super good too. I'm not a fan of caper but you can just ask them to not include it or just take them off yourself. If you look at my picture, under the salmon, there is a big slice of tomato that adds on to the flavor. Its so thick that I cant get a mouthful with all the flavors in one bite. After I tried the salmon bagel here, it's really hard for me to be satisfied with a salmon bagel anywhere else. They also have 2 soups of the day that they post on their Instagram. My favorite is their chicken Chipotle soup. Again, I love it so much I tried to make it at home so I can eat it if I'm craving it on a day that its not the soup of the day. I even drove from Westminster because I was looking forward to enjoying one of their sandwiches that I hadn't had in a long time. He stated that he tastes the cookies every morning and insisted there was nothing wrong with them. There was no offer to replace the item or further address my concern, and the conversation ended abruptly with a brief "have a good day." Overall, I was disappointed by the lack of attentiveness and willingness to engage with a customer concern over what was simply one menu item. The cooking uses quality ingredients and love and care. I was here on business by myself and was seated immediately and after a quick look at the menu decided on the devil's cut ribeye a steak. It comes with a massive amount of oven, roasted potatoes and green beans. I also got a side salad with it as well which was way too much food for one person. The entire thing was big enough for two normal or maybe even three light eaters. The steak was excellent with a sweet coffee rub with a slightly sweet mapley taste. I could only finish about half and save the rest for the next day. Even though I was full, I decided to try the fried apple pie because it was recommended by many other reviewers. It was actually amazing. It was the dish that was highly recommended by the server and she was not wrong. The ice cream on top was probably House made and the pie itself was like a gourmet version of a hostess apple pie but of course with much higher quality ingredients and it was delicious. The vibe of the restaurant is exciting. It is a fun place to visit with the visual aspects such as the bird cages in the window case. Oak barrels used for aging whiskey are set around and the general vibe was very attractive. Everyone was having a great time and making quite a lot of noise from all the conversation and the music, but people were really enjoying themselves. If you want to have a quiet conversation with someone, this is probably not your place, but if you want a fun time with that kind of vibe, it is an excellent place. I recommend Bosscat highly.
