Burrito price/ value with portion 9/10 overall taste 8/10 Ordered carne asada and got mushy stewed meat... would have ordered chicken if it was grilled (maybe it was stewed too). Normally carne asada means cut up grilled steak.

I came here on my last stay up here at Lake Tahoe for a quick lunch. I've had many a burrito from Americanized places like Chipotle to hard core Mexican in Oakland where you're better off speaking Spanish and having a second person watch the car. This place I will say is not real hardcore, so no there's no tongue on the menu. Just pork, beef and chicken burritos. The size is OK, and the prices ... well, lets just say there's no such thing as a cheap burrito lunch anymore , and then there's the Tahoe price factor. $14 bucks with tax is about what a burrito will go for here. This is a hold in your hand and eat burrito, not a wet sauce covered one on a plate. I got a beef burrito and it was decent, not wow, this is great burrito, but just OK. It you're looking for real authentic Mexican, you'll need to leave Lake Tahoe, though I did hear of a place in King's Beach off the main strip that might be good. It's a Mexican grocery store as well. I'd say here at the Burrito Window, it's serviceable Mexican food, but then you might be looking for a burrito that you might be more familiar with like in the suburbs of some city, this will do you good then.

Thankfully we were able to get a table to eat as it was prime lunchtime. Food took about 10-15 minutes. Burritos were the perfect portion and were tasty.

It's not the most amazing food, but the view can't be beat for a nice casual meal nearby King's Beach. There are four stools out front that even face the beach. We opted for inside since we needed a high chair. I would recommend tacos over the bowl and carnitas over the other meats. Really filling and friendly service. I'm glad we came upon this place on our way to the beach.

My family of four was looking for a quick lunch on a Friday with indoor seating and came across The Burrito Window. Their hours are limited, 11am to 3:00 pm. We walked in around 2:35 pm and were kindly greeted. The restaurant was clean and there were a few tables available. My family ordered an asada, burrito,a chicken burrito and a kids chicken burrito and enjoyed them. I ordered an asada taco and chicken taco a la carte. The tacos were bigger than traditional street tacos. They were served on two tortillas with cheese melted between the tortillas (nice touch). The asada looked and tasted different than asada I'm used to getting but was good. The chicken was also good. The meat, slaw, sauce, tortillas were all fresh. A good option for a fresh meal in the King's Beach area.

Not the biggest fan unfortunately. I think my expectations were misplaced and I was expecting more traditional Mexican food but this is more Tex mex. Tacos are lined with a coleslaw, meat and salsa. Overall the taste was good. Fresh and very protein heavy. The not so good were the rice and beans. Very dry and tasteless.

Great little place to grab lunch. Liked how the cheese was in between the tortillas on the tacos. Would definitely come back :)

This spot has the best shrimp tacos on the north shore and their burritos are my favorite choice on the menu.

Decent size burrito, faster than taco bell, hours say 11:00a-330p. Good for a quick bite. No chorizo :(

I ordered the tacos and the service was very fast. The food was bad. It took me hours to digest it. Great location downtown.

Best burrito in Tahoe City. The carnitas was tender and tasty, the guacamole was perfect. Friendly service. Try it.

They were excellent. Like, the kind where you pause mid-bite and nod. The enchiladas were exactly what you want after a long Tahoe day: cheesy, saucy, and piping hot in the best kind of way. Comfort food perfection. Everything tasted fresh and made with care. A couple quirks to know going in: * Beware the green salsa. It is SPICY. Do not mistake it for guacasalsa. It's actually spicier than the red salsa and has some serious kick. * Chips aren't free and only come in one large size, so plan accordingly if you're just looking for a small side. Overall, fantastic food, generous portions, and totally worth the stop. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town.

We ordered a total of 7 tacos and one tacos plate that comes with 2 tacos and rice and beans. Each tacos was $3.99 each. Don't let the price fool you like i did. Their street style tacos are a lot bigger then what we are use to in LA and very generous with the meat. You can definitely make 2 tacos with one. As for the meat we ordered the Asada, Pastor,Lengua, Buche and Cabeza. The pastor was just ok but the rest of the meat was delicious. Their salsa are were fantastic with a kick and they have 4 different types they give you. Ask for extra red salsa. Service was friendly and simple. You order from the outside and they'll call you number when it's done. Overall, food was solid and satisfying.

The steak was a little too chewy and tough for my taste, but overall good flavor. I loved the wild rice pilaf side! - lemonade and sierra sunburn: both really fresh and seemed like they were made from fresh lemons! the raspberry in the sunburn was great The lighting was warm and the lights were really overhead. The benches were comfortable and not cold to sit on, and overall nice, clean, comfy environment. Service was really friendly and apologized that the drinks menu didn't have dairy-free options for some of the drinks with dairy, overall really attentive and engaging. We found a lot of street parking a few minutes away and walked over, also took a walk on the lake beach right behind it which was super pretty

Dog-friendly vibes, jaw-dropping Lake Tahoe views, and super friendly, efficient service--even with our multiple beer sample requests. I devoured the seared ahi tuna topped with vibrant mango salsa (pro tip: test that fiery side sauce first--it's no joke!). My boyfriend loved his California chicken sandwich with those perfectly crispy, hot fries. Skipped the beer to save room for dessert--rich, indulgent, but perfectly balanced. Total winner!
