When you walk in, you're greeted with bright and airy ambience. I loved the navy and white color scheme carried throughout the restaurant. My recommendation is that you arrive early on the weekend. It starts to get busy after 9:30am. Now to the good stuff, the food. My daughters couldn't wait to try the strawberry cheesecake pancakes. Those cakes did not disappoint. They were rich, creamy, and flavorful. My husband had the kickin chicken waffle and it featured the sweet cream waffle which made a nice contrast between sweet and savory. Lastly, I had the Cajun eggs Benedict. It was amazing. The crab cake bursted with flavor as the Cajun hollandaise made a delicious accent. Great looking place. Very neat and clean. Staff are not rude and competent. Not exactly friendly. 11.99 for biscuit and gravy plate. 2 eggs, 1 biscuit, sausage gravy and potatoes. Egg under cooked even for over easy eggs, gravy okay, potatoes were hard and reheated. For a place called the buttered Biscuit I would expect a better biscuit. Seeing the reviews I believed the biscuits were going to be fantastic. After eating the food I realized I brought my hopes to high.

We eat here often. Today we ordered what used to be the Mount Kessler. (Eggs scrambled, chicken sausage, biscuit, and greens). One of the orders (once they brought it after forgetting it entirely) was pretty good. The other was was inedible. The greens had some brown vinegar type liquid on them and were black around the edges, not fresh. The eggs had a very funny smell and taste and were slimy with a brown coating on the bottom, with large chunks of black and brown in them. I don't mind paying $43.00 plus tip for brunch but I expect the quality to reflect the price. This was not a good value and I had to go elsewhere for the replacement meal as this establishment was already closed. They can do much better read more

Overall I love this place. The wait is usually way too long. But the food is usually great and the staff is always amazing.

Placed an online order and was told 15 minutes. 15 minutes turned into 40. We've ordered several times during covid and today was the first time they got the order completely correct. Something has changed with their gravy. The location in Bentonville use to have thicker gravy but our order today was watery. Ordered hash browns and got like 3 spoons worth. Their kids French toast sticks are good though. Overall we've seen a big decline in the quality of food since we started going to this restaurant in Bentonville a few years ago. This location never quite matched the other, but we figured it was just brand new and getting the kinks worked out. Definitely has potential to be good. I preface this post saying we went at brunch and it was busy. That being said it took about 45 minutes before we started getting our food. By starting I mean they came one at a time, with 10 minutes from when the first plate came out to the last. People who came after us got served before we did. I had the Winchester, the biscuit was good. But way too much pepper on the chicken and gravy was not seasoned. Our server was nice and the lemon pancake was good. I only gave it one star because the food was decent, but the service was horrible. They have a lot of kids running this place and customer service is horrible. We waited longer than normal because of issues with the check in waiting list system. When we were seated and waited for a long time someone finally came and used the excuse of being busy. It gets worst, after we got our drinks and put in our order we got up to go use the restroom. When we got back our table was wiped clean. They thought we had left apparently, then we had to wait for them to redo our drinks after reminding them. My child was crying because they threw away "artwork", and just ruin our morning. Our sausage wasn't fully cooked, and our potatoes were awfully hard. Sadly we still had to to pay with a discount of course. After waiting 15 minutes for anyone to come to our table we placed our order. After we placed the order we were told that the grill was being fixed and had been being worked on for 15 minutes. We later found out the grill wasn't going to be fixed and our order couldn't be completed. So we decided to leave with not only the cost of our time and another bad experience, but also a $5 ticket for the untouched glass of orange juice that took over 20 minutes to get. The orange juice was chugged like a beer in college just to get what was "paid" for. Additionally, two managers were sitting not ten feet away working while all this shook out. I have tried this location several times since we moved here a year ago. It is overpriced, long waits, bad service, and all together not worth going. What we've unfortunately learned since moving here though is people are either easily impressed or just way too nice in their reviews. The waitress was lovely, the decor is nice (a little too Chip and Joanna for my taste, but nice) , the prices are reasonable, my friends food was good. That's where the 3 stars were earned. I was starving when I came in and couldn't decide what to order. The waitress recommended the waffles saying they were "award winning" so that's what I went with. There's no way this waffle has won a single award, well....maybe the waffle has but the butter sure hasn't. The butter was basically frosting, it wasn't butter. I felt sick after a few bites from the sheer amount of sugar in the "butter". How can you mess up butter?? Stick to the basics! Don't mess with something if it isn't broken! Or at least give customers a warning and ask if they'd like "regular butter" or "frosting" on their waffle. I was so disappointed. My friends biscuits and gravy were pretty yummy and probably what I'd order if I went back; But if I want a good waffle, I'll find an old school diner to eat at where you can count on the weird creamy whipped spread tasting the way it ought to taste, NOT like frosting. read more

The food is excellent. The proportions to price ratio vary quite widely. But overall on pricing I would put it on the little more of the less expensive side. It is usually very clean and only when it is exceptionally crowded is the atmosphere a bit uncomfortable. Most of the servers are very attentive and will be patient if you want to customize your dish. We have gone to this location consistently , and they have continued to disappoint we will not be back, each time it was something different from waiting for a server to greet us and simply take our drink order for over 20min to forgetting our dish and taking forever to get it made, and then having the manager say "WE" made the cook upset because we asked them to just cancel the plate THEY messed up on. Pretty dissatisfied in our carry out order today. We have carried out all year from multiple restaurants in NWA and this seems to miss the mark on carry out every time. Each time the order has not been ready when promised and it's almost impossible to get someone on the phone for curbside. I got the açaí berry bowl, which used to be served in separate pieces to assemble at home and it is now served all in the same bowl. While it works in the restaurant, and I can appreciate the fewer packaged items from a waste standpoint, it simply doesn't work for carry out. Once we got home (less than 10min away), the granola had started to get soggy, the presentation was poor, and it wasn't insulated enough with my husband's hot food so it had melted significantly. Husband got chicken and waffles and noted that the chicken was a little overdone but the eggs and waffles were great. The cinnamon roll put us over the edge. Hard as a rock and completely uneatable. I used a steak knife to cut it in half just to see if there were any redeeming pieces in there (there were none). This leads me to believe that it was not freshly made, but was older and left over...which is pretty unfortunate and not what is promised on their website as far as quality goes. I will say I have had marginally better experiences dining in at this location. Their original Bentonville location service has always been perfect and even with a longer drive I have not had this issues with carry out. Only half the tables were full and seemed to have plenty of waitstaff but still waited 20 minutes to be acknowledged at the front door and seated. Waitress only stopped by the table to take our order, bring our food, and deliver our check. Our appetizer came out with our meal (which defeats the purpose of an appetizer) and was cold. Food took 45-50 minutes to come out even though there were several open tables and seemed to be plenty of waitstaff. The Buttered Biscuit is a weird little breakfast place that I don't really know what to think about. The coffee was weird, kinda fruity but also sour, it's kinda unique in a way. The biscuits and potatoes were fine but the gravy was maybe from a box. Nothing wrong with the pancakes or sausage. Water was really good here, so it might be alright to skip out on juice or coffee since those run pretty high ($3.49-$5). Place was clean and service was fair enough. The blonde waitress that served us was on the ball, she was a new girl at that time but she was with the program. If management reads this, try and keep her and give her a raise as she is perfect. read more

This is our brunch place when I come up from Dallas to visit my daughter. The beignets, the Bloody Mary, the chicken anything and bacon jelly and the vibe are why. Getting up a little earlier is recommended because they are busy. Always except for 8 am. And they are not not busy then, you just may not have to wait. So plan for it. We know we will have a 30 minute wait if we can get there by 10. If you get there after 10, get a latte at the counter so you can hold off a little longer. So sad. This place is just so sad. All the servers are in slow motion. Party of 2. Plenty of open tables. Waited 20 mins still couldn't get seated. The hostess is in slow motion. All the servers are depressed. One server was standing and hugging a customer for over 5 mins crying. Stood there the entire time we were waiting to be seated for 20 mins talking. There is very little customer service and the over all service at this location is terrible. We ended up leaving after 30 min wait only to go to Fayetteville location. Bentonville location is much better with friendlier servers and a nicer atmosphere with 100 times better service. THis place is a joke and terrible service. Very disappointing.
