So disappointing... We have always considered this such a great restaurant to visit but today was a huge fail. The hostess was seating people that came in after us. I was getting up to see what was going on and she asked my name, then told me she wrote my number down wrong. I was sitting next to the hostess stand and no one else was there! It took 30 minutes to get our food and we had to wait another 5 minutes to get our silverware. They ran out of items on the menu and do not know how to cook eggs. read more

I tried the Eggs Benedict and was very pleased with the flavor of the hollandaise sauce and the devs were cooked to perfection. A very generous portion of potatoes will certainly fill anyone's extra hunger. The only reason I can't rate them a Five Star is the price. We walked into the place loving not only the menu but the location. When my family and I walked in we got seated and waited around 15 minutes to even get someone to get our drinks after asking who our server was. We make frequent trips from Claremore, OK to Fayetteville for doctor's appointments. We saw the sign for The Buttered Biscuit on our way to our appt and decided to stop on our way back home. I'm so glad we did!! This will definitley be a place we will stop at again. The food was so fresh and so delicious. We tried the Farmer's Son Scramble and the Lemon Curd Beignets. The homemade raspberry jam for my biscuit was perfect. Our server, Lauren, was great, friendly and helpful. We look forward to visiting again. I hate posting a bad review because I don't want to hurt small business owners. However, I read many apologies here but no actual improvements with either the service or food quality. The breakfast I was served was one of the worst meals I've ever had: rancid/black-tinged avocado paste and vinegar-tasting eggs. I had to flag down the wait staff for service and the check. This place totally lived up to all of the attention and hype that they receive here in NWA! My pancakes were absolutely amazing and lots of little touches (like the mint) go a long way! I have been writing reviews for years. This is the first time I have ever got up with my party an left the restaurant. My recommendation is find another another place to eat. I am visiting family in Arkansas & I found this on yelp. Looked at a couple of reviews and pictures. As we were close by decided to go there. Went we walked in we were greeted. From their everything started going downhill. The waitress was nice and took our order: My sister was very clear that her eggs come out easy. They came out edges Krispy with egg yoke broken. That was after at least 35 minutes of waiting. All three of us sent our meals back as they were all cold. Nothing worse than cold Biscuits and gravy & home fries as hard as a brick. Being very patience waiting for our second meal. I finally gave up and asked for the Manager. Wait, Wait, Wait asked the waitress where the manager was. Answer was she's in the Kitchen. My favorite breakfast place in NWA finally has a southern location in Springdale. It's just as good as the others. They serve Onyx coffee and you can have all you want with free refills. I usually get the west coast omelette or the goat trail. If you eat the biscuits (you deserve it) then you have to put some bacon jam on that thing (treat yo self). It's bacon, in jam, and it's exactly how it sounds. The service is so friendly too - they know how to take care of customers. Couldn't possibly speak more highly of this place. read more

We used to love coming to The Buttered Biscuit. We'd hope for the same waitress and order the same things every time. Lemon Curd Beignets, Unicorn pancakes and scrambled eggs for the kids, omelets for my husband and French toast for me. But, the last three times it's just been awful. We've asked to speak to a manager. He said he appreciated our feedback but no actions were taken. We asked once for food to be remade but the remake was even worse. Hard greasy beignets with hollow centers. Brown tiny strawberry slices, cold French toast that wouldn't even melt butter. The vegetables were hard, cold and crunchy inside a cold omelet. I'm so sad. I really do think this restaurant is great. The food was awesome! (I had the Eureka biscuit sandwich.) The wait staff was excellent--our waitress being so helpful made up for a lot of trouble we had. However, it is incredibly frustrating to wait over two hours when you're given an estimate of a 45 minute wait when you are added to the wait list. Our group had two tiny kiddos who were already fairly patient while waiting it out. We went to a nearby coffee shop so as to leave room in the entryway of the restaurant during our wait. About an hour later, when we finally were at spot #5 on the Yelp waitlist, we came back to the restaurant where we crowded together in the doorway for another full hour before our group was helped. This was unpleasant for us and for all your other patrons as the entryway is VERY small in context of the popularity of your restaurant. Many people with smaller parties were seated before us, and while we understood that our group was large, there's no excuse for an additional hour long wait. We chose to be patient and pleasant, even with a toddler and baby, and understood that the staff was busy, but it felt inconsiderate. Please consider at least allowing reservations for parties of 7+. (When we called in advance it appeared you didn't accept any reservations.) For us, the wait-list may as well have been non-existent, and the ridiculously long wait time made the experience much less enjoyable. read more

We were passing through and found this on Yelp. The fact that pretty much anything on the menu could be done gluten free was what brought me in. I was able to have beignets with lemon curd from scratch. I also ordered the gf biscuit and gravy!! Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. The coffee was delicious as well - I ordered the Tiune latte with oat milk. Yum!!!!! The staff was friendly and very efficient. Ashley was our server and did a wonderful job taking care of us. My husband and I had been wanting to try this place for a while now and we finally did this weekend. We were majorly disappointed. Very crowded. Service seemed kind of clueless. I got an omelette and a biscuit which was great, but my husbands pancakes were...crunchy. It was just us 2 but they sat us at a table for 6 and there were big parties waiting and I went up to tell the hostess we can wait in order for the bigger party to be seated there and she just walked away from me. It's still in its first week of opening but the Buttered Biscuit was good - just not fantastic. The flow of ordering... isn't down perfect yet. We ordered the pigs in a biscuit as an appetizer but we hadd to have the waitress check on them and they CCU me just a few minutes before the meal. They were good - sausage was warm and tasty but the biscuit was somewhat tough. I had shrimp and grits but there wasn't much bacon or spinach as I expected. Our experience wasn't bad But I love their chicken and waffles I brought a friend with me who had never been there and convinced him to order it And they didn't bring out the bacon jam, or let us know even that it wasn't ready to see if we could have wanted something else instead.
