I completed the 3 day cleanse tonight! You'd think I miss food and don't get me wrong I do but not junk or carbs. It would be a waste of my money and body to do that. I actually went to the market to get fruit, yogurt and nuts to have in the morning. Made lentil soup for lunch (man did I want to eat it this evening) and chicken to bbq for dinner. Though I only lost 1.5 pounds, as of tonight and I'll check in the morning again, it was worth the mind re-set. Yes stupid I did it before Christmas but not really cause I avoided all the work and friends holiday buffets and probably would have gained those pounds and then some. I initially contacted Butterfly Cleanse because I wanted to support a locally owned business and was especially excited that Butterfly Cleanse advertised doing a custom menu; I wanted to alleviate some of the stress and work that comes with preparing meals. After a detailed intake process, we proceeded working together. I've ordered a total of 4 times and spent a few hundred dollars here. Overall, the food has been good but the experience has been stressful. Food: - For the most part, I enjoyed the food itself. The flavors were interesting, and I appreciated the variety and seasonal ingredients. - However, one meal was made almost entirely of beans, and when I raised a concern that I could not eat them due to a sensitive stomach and low FODMAP preference highlighted during our intake, Katie suggested to eat the beans a small amount at a time. I thought it unfortunate that the suggestion was to tolerate the meal, when I was paying for a customized meal delivery plan. - There were some hairs in the food, part of which she compensated me for ($2). - During the intake, Katie agreed to provide me a list of ingredients in the meals. Unfortunately, sometimes the list did not actually contain all the ingredients used. She never provided an ingredient list for our last delivery, despite being reminded twice. Late delivery: - For our first delivery, she said the delivery window was 6-9p. She came at 9:20p. - I thought I could solve for the late delivery by asking for an earlier delivery in her route. For our last delivery, she said that the delivery windows was before 7p. She came at 7:30p. - Both of these presented some issues for me, and I had to have somebody else go out to get the packages. She never acknowledged or apologized for being late either time. I think Butterfly Cleanse would be a better fit for somebody 1) looking for a non-customized menu and not with food sensitivities, and 2) who is ok with delivery times being different than what the promised time is. It looks like there are other people who have found a good fit with Butterfly Cleanse, and I'm so glad about that. It's unfortunate that I wasn't able to. read more

I would call this less "cleanse" and more "personalized food program." Katie is responsive, knowledgeable and thoughtful about all things food and health. This is hands down the best cleanse program in LA (maybe the world but I haven't tried them all! ). Katie is so attuned to what your personal needs are. The intake is very thorough and she pays so much attention that she was able to suggest things that my body might need/ might be struggling with that I hadn't even considered. And she is always correct. The food is prepared fresh every night (so different from other cleanses) and delivered to your doorstep for a really reasonable fee considering gas prices at the moment. The food is different every day which makes a 5 day cleanse way easier as you don't get bored super quickly. And as an added bonus the food is DELICIOUS. Katie pays a lot of attention to how you're doing during the week and is able to adjust based on things that you may or may not be responding to. I definitely feel different, more energy, more focus and I can feel my body changing. My skin looks amazing and my eyes are so bright! This program is life changing. I am going on my second week and already feel way better than I did. As a property manager in DTLA my life is hectic and busy and I was always resorting to quick salty and sugary foods. Katie helped me get back on track with my health goals and I am forever grateful. I have done a lot of different cleanses in LA but she is by far the best. Her juices are not watered down and pre made days in advance. I can't say enough good things about Katie's cleanse program. First of all, this isn't really a terrible cleanse like you only drink lemon cayenne water or whatever. She alternated my juices with delicious raw meals so it really just felt like I was eating extremely balanced and healthily. I never felt deprived or that I was starving because there were solid foods incorporated into the program. In fact, from day one I felt like I had way more energy than I had when eating my normal, crappy diet. Secondly, (and most importantly) KATIE MADE IT SO EASY. She dropped the meals off to me the night before and everything was numbered so I knew exactly what to eat and drink when. Everything was fresh and delicious. Pricewise, this cleanse was comparable to what you would pay for one at one of the fancy juice places in Beverly Hills and you get wayyyy more bang for your buck and a way more personal approach. Lastly, RESULTS. I did my cleanse to kick off some weight loss and boost my energy and I was down 5 pounds after my 5 day cleanse. I know a lot of that may not be permanent, but I have no interest in sliding back into unhealthy foods or ways and I have a ton more energy for working out and am excited to spring back into my fitness goals. I had been lazy and slothlike and was eating like a pig.  This combo lead me to become the heaviest I had been in my life, and my 6 pack had turned into a flabby keg. I wanted to do a cleanse because my eating habits had spiraled out of control. With most of my time spent sitting behind a desk or in an airport I had reached a level that I needed to call in a professional. At the same time, as a midwesterner, I was very nervous about doing a cleanse. What if everything was nasty? What if it gave me tummy aches? Or, horror of horrors, what if there was an "accident" at work??? Katie was great about sitting down with both of us to talk about our challenges, goals, likes/dislikes and any concerns that we had about the cleanse. The fact htat she was always in contact with any questions I had thorughout my cleanse was a HUGE plus. From the get go, she is so easy to get a hold of, quick to respond and very easy to communicate with. She is organized and does a great job of doing the written and verbal intake of where you are at nutritionally and health-wise, what your goals are, likes and dislikes, allergies, etc. She is incredibly accommodating and loves clients to give her feedback. I owe Katie a debt of gratitude. I've always wanted, so badly, to eat healthfully, but I don't enjoy menu planning, marketing, or cooking. All too often I found myself snacking on junk food, eating processed and frozen meals. This was exactly what I had hoped for, all of the reviews are spot on, Katie is super communicative and works with you to make sure you get what you need to be healthy and sustained while cleansing. I did a mostly juice cleanse for 5 days, the first 3 days were primarily liquids (juices and soup) and they were delicious! The first day I was a pretty low energy and had a headache but I expected that as I had been really eating poorly before (lots of carbs and processed foods), I just made sure to rest and drink lots of water. By day 4 she started adding meals, and they were so so yummy! I'm at day 3-post cleanse and have been feeling really great, Katie sent a pos-cleanse email with suggestions for transitioning back to regular foods which has been helpful, I've been surprised by how much I don't want to eat all the carbs.. I thought I'd just dive right back into my processed food cravings but I haven't really wanted that at all. I'm really glad I did this cleanse, for me this was not about losing weight but rather trying to shake my body out of its processed foods/sweets craving routine I had gotten stuck in. This worked for me because I never really felt deprived or hungry throughout, I started to really ask myself if what I was feeling was hunger or was I thirsty or was it something else and I feel more committed now to keeping up the healthful eating going forward. This was AMAZING! I didn't think I could do it. I am really not into "fasts". And, I guess it wasn't really a fast, but just what it says: a cleanse!! And, now I'm a believer. I started at 200lbs I followed Katie's directions and about 11 days later I dropped 10lbs I am now at my goal weight of 175lbs in less than a month of cleansing with out exercise so imagine how much thinner I would be with a daily run or workout. I've been doing cleanses for over 20 years, and the Butterfly Cleanse is, hands down, the best I have done. Katie knows her stuff. Her morning "shots" are to die for, like a blast of adrenaline to start my day with. And her vegetable drinks, smoothies and metabolism boosters are tasty, filling and you can just feel them working.
