Love this restaurant - it's more fit for larger groups who want a nicer meal at the base. The food is tailored more towards beef, elk, bison but they do offer a fish and pheasant dish for those who prefer that. The cabin salad was great, a good portion. The NY strip was cooked a perfect rare, they do know how to cook to the correct temperature. The pheasant was super juicy and the wild rice side was a great complement. Highly recommend this place but knocked it down one star because of a $7.50 split charge for the dishes.

What can I say other than The Cabin is AWESOME!! We have been here for lunch and dinner the last 3 days the atmosphere is laid back and the service is always fantastic!! The bar has great selections of Bourbon as well!! For lunch the Fish and Chips are out of this world perfectly cooked Halibut!! If you have a chance to make a dinner reservation do it and get the Elk it is their specialty cut of meat amazing!! Oh and wash that down with Orin Swift The Prisoner!! The Cabin Bar and Grill earns easily 5 Stars !!

We always love to dine at the Cabin. Our server was fast, friendly & efficient. Food was outstanding (as always) and cocktails were great!

    Lightly breaded walleye

Great food, well seasoned and balanced. Sizeable portions for a reasonable price. On top of that amazing service both in and out of the restaurant! I left my credit card there and Matty (the awesome owner) went out of his way to meet me at departures of the Bozeman airport the next day! Recommend the Cabin to anyone in Big Sky looking for tasty food and top notch service.

    Elk tips

Black walnut old fashioned was delicious Food was good but prices just too high for portion sizes It was a good stop with good menu options but even for resort pricing it felt steep

The team recovered from a power outage just before opening!! The Cabin is extremely Montana from the albino Elk mountain to the huckleberry martinis. We began with very well made mixed drinks. Our app of Brie in a puff pastry we absolutely delicious. The main course for me was the Elk tenderloin, nicely presented and delicious. The staff and kitchen recovered nicely and served top notch repast! The Frau enjoyed the walleye which was also wonderful!!

For some reason I was thinking this was gonna be fancier- but was very pleased, nonetheless. Great fish dishes. And the cheesecake dessert did not disappoint. Wonderful service, too.

I've had better frozen tv dinners. The food was so bad it was comical. Elk meatballs were particularly yucky!

I arrived around 7 PM and grabbed a seat at the bar since I was dining solo. The restaurant was busy, but the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. For dinner, I ordered the Chicken Prosciutto Pasta with a side of bread. The pasta was outstanding -- easily one of the best pasta dishes I've had in a long time. The combination of braised chicken, prosciutto, mushrooms, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, and creamy parmesan-mascarpone sauce came together perfectly. Every bite was flavorful, rich, and satisfying without feeling heavy or dry. As someone preparing for a half marathon the next morning, it was the perfect carb-loading meal. I also ordered the Huckleberry Sundae for dessert. If you're visiting the Yellowstone area, do yourself a favor and try something with huckleberries. The ice cream, topping, and whipped cream were fantastic, and it ended up being one of my favorite desserts from the trip. One unexpected bonus was getting to chat with other travelers at the bar, including another runner who was also working toward completing a half marathon in all 50 states. It added to the friendly, welcoming feel of the place. Overall, Madison Crossing Lounge delivered excellent food, a great atmosphere, and a memorable dining experience. I don't hand out many five-star reviews, but this one earned it. If I'm back in West Yellowstone for another race or a visit to Yellowstone National Park, I'll absolutely be returning. The Huckleberry lemonade was very good and was recommended. While Reis was good, the asparagus and mashed potatoes were very good. The bison tenderloin was good, but I think it's better served as a ground meat in a burger form. It was tender, but not as flavorful as some of the other bison, I've recently had. The ambience is a pub/bistro setting. The service was exceptional as my server attended to me several times to check in on how was my meal
