Incredible speakers like journalist Will Potter, author Victoria Moran, and the owner of Vegan Treats. More animal rescue/advocacy groups were here this time. You had to fight to be close to the large Vegan Treats tent. We missed the Cinnamon Snail truck with their tender maple bourbon donuts but were charmed by the Pizza Wagon: the best one had cauliflower puree, roasted potatoes, rosemary, and onion, OMG. We will plan better next year to get in on more cooking demonstrations -- you can get full with the samples they hand out. This festival is free, and oh the parade of gorgeous dogs. I paid to get in the pen with piglets of Ross Mill Farm and enjoyed every second of it, even being nibbled because I had just had pizza in my hand. Saw friends from several counties. Just a wonderful friendly vibe. We left with takeout and wish it had gone on longer, Another good thing is that vendors actually stay until the end and don't pack up early. I see this expanding. The world is changing for the good, although it can be hard to see sometimes with so much violence and war.

This was my second vegfest, after this year's inaugural Philly VegFest, and it did not disappoint…read more We got there about an hour in at noon, and the lines at Cinnamon Snail were starting to get bad but they moved very quickly. Thank goodness because we were starving, having not eaten in preparation for a day of VegFest binging. We split an apple turnover and a small spinach pie from the Snail while we waited for our two tempeh sandwiches. The sandwiches came out quickly and we split the Thai tempeh (very spicy but very tasty) and the kale and mustard tempeh (very tasty as well). Both were served on very good millet bread. I would have prefered a little more variety, maybe one on a baguette or something, but overall I was incredibly satisfied. Not too full for more food though! I also noshed on a a bite of a pretzel-shaped sweet and salty doughnut from Vegan Treats, who had an absolutely wonderful spread of desserts. The doughnut was just ok, I took home two lemon bars that were out of this world good. Finally, I split a vegan cheesesteak empenada with my husband; it was pretty bland. However, it was great to have so many options to try all in one place. I also purchased two items of clothing: one festival T-shirt in a gorgeous periwinkle color. The T had a cool saying on the front and a pretty logo on the back, but it's just a boring straight T, I would've prefered a fancy organic washed out cotton. I may have to alter it when I get home, turn it into a boat neck or something like the refashionista (look her up!) Also purchased an absolutely gorgeous open neck turquoise, soft as butter sweatshirt that had a elephant herbivore logo. I'm in love with this item from Grape Cat. Luckily they accepted Visa because I was running out of cash fast at this fest!

Twisted Olive is definitely one of my favorite restaurants…read more They have a great bar and restaurant area that is open yet quiet. The artwork is amazing and the lighting is perfect. It's great for dates because this is where my girlfriend and I had our first dinner together in 2021. Veronica, our incredible server, took care of us. She fielded any questions with ease and her recommendations were exceptional. My girlfriend loved her cosmopolitan and my martini with blue cheese stuffed olives was phenomenal. The artichoke and spinach dip was both plentiful and flavorful. The tuna tartare was a bit dry yet delicious. But that grilled octopus was on a completely different level of flavor and texture. Truly fantastic. Whether you're here for lunch or dinner, the menu is incredible. Many thanks again to Veronica for her kindness and for her professionalism!

It obviously was not hot enough- it didn't even sear the steak. After taking too long & it was obvious it wasn't going to cook on the slab we sent it back for them to grill in the kitchen- after that it was fine but not seasoned at all- just a plain lice of steak. The lamb shank was returned to the kitchen as it was tasteless. Appetizers were tasteless as well- ravioli & octopus. Got a burger instead which was fine. The tacos were fair- little taste & lukewarm. Same for the pork mignon. Not a place I'd return to. Service was fair along with the ambiance- kind of boring.

Food that's absolutely a must order include the hummus platter, with extraordinary fresh bread. and the baklava. Both are epic! I had the lunch special, which was lamb kebabs with white rice. Lamb was ok but not remarkably spiced nor that tender. But it was good. The rice was a bit mushy and there was little to no dressing on the salad nor the red cabbage on the dish. Would have loved to have had something more like rice pilaf. Requested some white yogurt dressing on the side and this brought it together. I don't think one can judge a place based on the lunch special so I will definitely be returning to try more of their entrées that they're known for. The place was packed so clearly locals know this is a good place to go!

There's ample parking in front of the building. The restrooms are handicap, accessible The atmosphere is decorated with a beautiful Mediterranean theme, florals , wood themed throughout , greenery, and plants. Great for date night as well. Greeted via a wonderful gentleman Fred , who is also the owner of Mediterranean Grill. He seated us immediately. He took our order we decided to go with a chicken Shawarma wrap And lamb Shawar. Both had a beautiful presentation. We ordered a side dish of grape leaves and a hummus dip. The dip was amazing, smooth and creamy and flavorful, and the grape leaves had just the right touch of flavor, rolled to perfection. The chicken Shawarma was lightly seasoned with a garlic cream sauce. The lamb Shawarma was equally just as good and flavorful. The dessert was a Osmayli - creamy and delicious, not too heavy . The prices are reasonable. When I visit Bethlehem Pennsylvania again I would definitely stop by here and if you are here, I say stop by give it a try you will not be disappointed and you will thank me later Say hello to Fred

1741 Terrace is considered a fine dining establishment. There are $$$ next to the listing on Yelp,…read moreso it's not cheap. I would say the food is 5-stars and the service is 1-star. How can there be such a disconnect between the food and the service? It is a disservice to the the food/chef to have a staff of amateurs and the poor service lingers over the food to result in a 3-star experience. We had a celebratory graduation dinner at 1741 Terrace for a party of eight. We started out by ordering drinks. One of the drink orders was wrong. Bread is supposed to be placed on the table. All the other tables had it. We had to ask for it. The server had not cleared the plates from the table before giving us the desert menu. We had to ask for the plates to be cleared. We ordered a chocolate cake. We received a chocolate mousse. The server should know the difference. The little things make a difference. Attention to detail at a fine dining establishment matters, otherwise its not fine dining because the experience goes beyond the food. On top of all of that, the restaurant had the gall to add a 20% tip. A 20% tip assumes that the service was flawless. The service at 1741 Terrace was anything but. What ever happened to service? There's no pride in it anymore. It's become so common for servers to expect a tip without doing the work. I know that is a generalization, but it seems to be the rule rather than the exception in my experience. If you're looking for a place with great food but want to leave with a bad taste in your mouth, 1741 Terrace is your place. Professional food with amateur service should be the tagline for this place.
