This restaurant has a great view of the river at their Under the Hill location. Nice interior and they have a parking lot which is a huge plus. Pretty standard bar food and everything was good. Our waitress wasn't the best but she was very polite. It wasn't that busy on a Saturday night but I loved the option of making reservations for my party of 6. I ate lunch there today. I found it a lovely place with good food. They even had an outdoor bar allowing riverfront dining. However, I was grossed out to find that, even though I was eating at this restaurant, EVERYTHING served outside was served on styrofoam with crappy pre-wrapped plastic utensils. I asked for real dishes and was told no-can-do. THAT is some poor hospitality. Please put the good dishes out for all your guests. If they had, this would be a better review. read more

I went for my fourth visit today at lunch. I am working my way through the menu. I had the Meltdown Brisket sandwich. The camp sauce is everything. The owner came by the table for a quick chat. We got here in the pouring rain! It is super clean. There isn't enough parking and the food is so good there isn't going to be enough parking. Set right next to the river the view is nice. The staff is young and friendly as a hound pup. We had a good time here! Julie had a pulled pork sandwich and I had a burger. When we left we were full for the night. We recently visited Natchez and had our 3rd visit to "The Camp". It wasn't particularly busy, as we ate around 5:00 pm. We were waited on immediately, and the server was quite friendly. However, once our food was served, we had to ask for utensils, ketchup, salt and pepper. The utensils came after about 2 minutes, but we never received the condiments until a manager walked by and we asked a second time. By then, we were nearly 1/3 of the way done with our meal, and didn't really need the items at that point. Good food, average service, and decent prices. Still, a bit more customer service would go a long way. read more

We visited The Camp restaurant on our second day for lunch in Natchez. Off the bat, we fell in love with this location that overlooks the river. I ordered the brisket tacos, and they were divine! They were topped off by tasty homemade pickles. The atmosphere is relaxed and in tune with the ease of Natchez. They have a small bar, and also plenty of televisions to stay updated on the latest games. Andrew, our server was wonderful. He was extremely attentive and informative about the building and town. This is another must do if visiting historical Natchez. read more

We were excited to try The Camp after reading reviews and speaking with locals, but were a little let down by our experience here. We went for lunch and ordered a camp burger with fries and the turkey bacon ranch melt. The food took a long time to come out, and while I asked for the burger to be cooked medium, it was VERY well done. The burger itself just had a strange taste to it and I could only bring myself to eat about a third of it. The bun was unimpressive. I didn't really enjoy the fries and they came with what I figured was plain ketchup, but ended up to be some kind of ketchup/bbq mix. I'm giving three stars for the bacon ranch melt, which we really enjoyed. The Camp also has a fun atmosphere. Unfortunately, we just had a bad burger experience. read more

Stopped here for a day while hubby worked a shift at air evac so kids and I wanted a place with views of the river and craft beer. The Camp was even better than expected. Tekala was a wonderful server. We started with loaded fries with a jalapeno aoili on top and with home made fries was delicious. I had the sumpin fishy catfish sandwich and it was on a home made bun - perfect. My daughter tried their broccoli cheese beer soup and it was very tasty. Can't go wrong here. Decided to check the place out after one of the manager's told me about it at this art event. Me and my guest had a guacamole burger. It was delicious!. The fries smelled great, my guest loved them. They didn't agree with me, but I believe It was whatever they fried them with. Don't let that stop you from ordering them though. My guest loved them and they were the perfect texture.
