I did our 6 weeks challenge on March 1st 2021 weighing 140.5, 5 weeks later I lost 21.1 lbs. The weight loss journey is not easy, it needs patience and dedication. Great workout sure, I even did the 20lb challenge and felt motivated and supported however when it came time for me to part ways with the gym due to moving it has been nightmare! All of the sudden I don't get responded to. I was charged twice after canceling the membership and when I finally got a call back to discuss, I was told I would be refunded the two charges and that did not happen. I am in the process of reporting them and this is just such a headache not worth it. I was asked my very first week what I would rate The Camp 1-10. I gave it a 7 ( I was being nice.) There was no direction in the beginning. I walked in, the ladies at the front were always nice, but no one ever told me where to put my things, what I needed to do, where I needed to go. I was lost. The coaches never made an effort knowing there were new people in class to introduce themselves, nor were some of them very friendly. It wasn't until my second week that I actually got the hang of everything. The workouts were hard but different everyday, some of the coaches mix in a lot of cardio, which is good for the challenge.You get your own personal spray bottle and towel to wipe down the weights after using them. If you need help or any modifications to your workout you definitely have to ask or tell the coach prior to class. My biggest support through that challenge was the other challengers in class. It was nice to know that you weren't doing it alone and were able to talk to one another about the dreaded tilapagus. The class demographic was very mixed, all shapes and sizes to all different ages. It was very easy to feel comfortable here. I would recommend this class to everybody, its hard but YOU have to want it and go after it. read more

I first checked out the Camp El Cajon with my aunt and it was an easy decision to join my first 6 week hard body challenge. As we all know in the middle of the challenge everything is shut down due to the corona pandemic. This included the gym. Now in my last week of the challenge and still quarantined at home. The camp continuously rose above each day with daily motivation and killer video workouts available for free. You never know how far your body is capable of going until you push yourself. The camp team pushes you to go past what your mind is telling you. When I first started I could only lift 10lbs after 4 weeks I'm finally lifting up to 25 sometimes 30lbs. I'm able to do a burpee and jumping jacks without feeling like my lungs are on fire. This place is a scam, trainer was letting people do deadlifts that were too heavy for them with bad form, no corrections to avoid injury at all. These were new people who had never lifted weights before. No instruction on how to adjust the bikes so that you didn't hurt your knees, nothing. No focus on controlled movements, the whole thing makes me question if the trainer was a certified trainer? Because a real trainer would never let someone lift something the way the women were lifting. The whole thing felt like a scam. read more

The Journey at the camp for this 6 week challenge was a blast and challenging at the same time. The coaches were phenomenal with their workout exercise regimen and the support they gave to me whether I was executing the workout or even struggling with some of the exercises. They made sure they made the class difficult yet also motivational so I could get the work done. I am so happy I went through this challenge. I weighed in at 202.5 lbs on march first and today I completely the 6 week challenge early at 178.6 lbs. The challenge was 20lbs in six weeks and I killed it.
