The Challenge was great at the time. Here are some things I have learned: They do their employees dirty. Your favorite trainers will just disappear. First Jesica, then Jose, then Ari and now AVERY. I would work my schedule around Avery's because he was the trainer that motivated me. I did small groups with him and he even helped me to do chin ups. If you say anything derogatory... and I mean anything, they will block you and not allow you to come back (I'm pretty sure this review will be my kiss of death). If you stop doing any of the challenge program, the weight rushes back. Sure you can lose 20 lbs in 6 weeks, but if you don't continue with their workouts AND cardio 5 days a week and eat 100% healthy, it comes back and then some. The monthly fee is outrageous. And knowing that you get tied into something where your favorite trainer can just disappear is frightening. Not to mention Sam, the founder, is tactless to say the least. His program works. But, he can be a complete asshole, taking pictures of food in people's cars, putting them on blast on Facebook, etc. He has the tendency to be a cyber bully. Helen is amazing... here's to hoping she doesn't just disappear... If you want to lose 20 lbs in 6 weeks, you can with this program. But, just be aware of what you are getting yourself into. read more

I love my trainers and everyone there,but personally I would not go back to this program. I'm in my second week of my 6 week challenge and I've lost some weight which does make me happy but I think it's a waste of money. But what I absolutely hate is them putting all my weight information out in the open like that which makes me feel even more insecure(I understand they have rules) I don't recommend this program to family or friends. I would have loved to leave a good review but sadly, this place doesn't deserve it. I feel like I was shammed out of my money. I busted my butt for 6 weeks, stopped losing anything at week 2, got barely any feedback or advice on what I should do. LOST 500 DOLLARS and got a lame shirt for participating. Went back two years later to try it out again, but instead of investing 300 or 500 dollars when I might not lose the full 20 pounds, I figured $30 was worth giving it a try again. The first time I mentioned how I wasn't losing any more weight, they made me feel like a liar. Then again today when I asked about being able to try it out again even though I could have LIED and said I was a new member, I didn't and was honest and they still wouldn't help me and made me feel like I can't be there unless I pay their overpriced fees. I started at the camp in June of 2016. I completed one 6 week challenge and ended up not making my goal for my second. I was so bummed out but I decided after the holidays I was going to go back because I liked the work outs. January 9th I started my alumni challenge and the place was packed! The only complaint I have is that the facility is way too small and they only have 1 bathroom for everyone. read more

I joined this Lancaster camp for the 6 week challenge and EVERYONE was always so motivating and welcoming. The staff took time out of what they were doing to talk to me and try and get to know me , the Trainers pushed me to workout the best I could without making me feel uncomfortable or sick! They helped change my mentality in the sense I learned I have to feed my body more consistently and with better and healthier quality of food! I learned how to be driven in my everyday life ! There location is full of motivational quotes on their walls that also uplifted me every single day! This gym does not stink or look dirty they maintain a very clean gym at all times ! They want you to succeed because everyone here is a pretty Deng decent human being. Shame on everyone who wrote a bad review!! There is always good and bad in this world, it's up to you to decide how you want interpret it. I'm truly blessed to have come here it has really changed my whole entire life, forever, for the better ;) Also, the group work outs, the high intensity, the camaraderie between every is seriously the best. The Camp Transformation of Lancaster has forced me to write a review about their camp in order for me to get my re fund for losing 20 lbs in 42 days... I was injured. And cannot continue. I have been denied a refund - even though, on crutches with a broken knee - I lost 21.2 lbs in 41 days. Danny will be doing his second challenge, only because the contract states that he has to do 2 challenges in order to get his money back, even though he also lost 21 lbs in 41 days. The concept of the program is great. The nutrition information was very helpful and appreciated and Helen was wonderful. I will write a complete review, in March. read more

At first, I was skeptical. You had to front the money and if you succeeded, then they cut you a check for your money back. I was hoping they wouldn't charge my credit card unless I failed, but it is what it is. They also have a lot of rules like change your Facebook profile picture to their logo, if you don't have a Facebook then get on for the challenge, you must have 30 check-ins, etc but you know what, that's pretty smart on their end because that's free advertising and it truly does hold you accountable. Starting out on my first day I didn't know the routine or anyone but I quickly got the hang of how it's run and what to expect. Once I got into the groove it was awesome! Working out in general makes you feel amazing and when I lost 6.1LBS in ONE WEEK, I was amazed! They truly want you to succeed. The diet is strict, yes, but if you're even just looking into doing this, that means you're considering making a lifestyle change to lose weight and/or get healthy, and a strict diet is a great start. I would highly recommend The Camp not only for a challenge, but a place to take an hour class that'll kick your butt! After my challenge I would totally sign up for a monthly membership, and the great thing about that is the money that went towards the challenge that I get back, can be used at a lower rate for it! Sure another rule is to rate and write a review about The Camp on Yelp, but this is my honest opinion about my experience. I love the Camp Transformation Center in Lancaster, CA! Been a member there since May 2019. Attending the 4 am class. If you have goals to lose weight, this gym will help you do it! Of course, you have to pay, but they push you during the workouts. For starters, don't be embarrassed, ashamed, or intimidated by the gym or what other people think. Who cares?! I felt like the classes were really good but too short. The hour long class was actually a 10 to 15 minute warm up and maybe a 5 minute cooldown. And only half hour of working out. The circuits were really good but I wish we did more rounds. we only would do 2 rounds and by the 2nd round I finally would understand what I was supposed to do so I wish there would have been a 3rd round to perfect it. I also feel like the instructors did not correct people that needed correcting. There were a lot of people doing the moves wrong and could hurt themselves. read more

Both my husband and I decided to give the 6 week challenge a try. We both made our 20 lb goal, feel great, and are starting our 2nd challenge. I even lost a total of 27 inches! What I loved about the workouts is that they aren't intimidating. Hard? You betcha. But the classes have all sorts of people at all different levels in the classes, and the trainers are willing to help modify any exercise as needed. I loved the encouraging environment as well -- the trainers want to help you improve and the staff is willing to help you if your struggling with your diet. The diet is very simple, the key is just finding the foods you like that meet the diet plan and having those prepared and ready to go! 6 week challenge is over and it's official I lost 23lbs!! Omg this challenge was definitely hard, what makes it easy is that Everyone at this facility is so encouraging from the front desk to the trainers. I remember walking in to my first class being scared of what I had just gotten myself into. From day 1 everybody was super welcoming. The trainers will modify work outs. People that have regular memberships will help you out with work outs. Overall I had a great experience. My only regret is not starting this challenge sooner. read more

Before signing up for the challenge I went to the camp as a monthly member in support of my wife who is a challenge veteran x3! I always knew the challenge would difficult and push the limits of your body, in a good way, from watching my wife do the challenge but actually doing it yourself reveals the true reason why everyone who goes thru this challenge leaves a changed person. The 6 week challenge helps you discover what it takes to be accountable for your health in a short amount of time. Afterwords you must adapt to not being on the challenge if you choose not to continue there by being accountable for yourself with your diet and exercising with out someone pushing you, but what I love the most about the camp is how much everyone cares about you making your goals. Take this positive attitude towards health with you and remember you get out what you put into this challenge. During the challenge I lost a total of 22.3 pounds and toned up a lot, they helped me get over a plateau I was stuck at and really strengthen my food prepping and nutrition skills. 40 days ago I started on a journey to lose 20lbs in 42 days. I didn't take up the challenge because I thought I had 20lbs to lose but until then my idea of going to a gym...was just that...an idea! I have always wanted to be fit but had an excuse to not exercise or eat healthy. That changed on 6/6/16 when I took the challenge at #TheCampTransformationCenterLancaster. This is the perfect challenge for people like me who lacked the discipline & motivation to exercise & eat healthy. At The Camp, it's always fun circuit training with different routines & with people who are on the same journey as you. You are not judged but motivated by the awesome trainers & other members. For those who know me, it is one of the most physically & mentally challenging thing I have done...6 weeks without my Starbucks frappuccino, an In n Out double double or a Five Guys A1 steak sauce hamburger, Popeyes fried chicken or my basamati white rice with dal, chicken tikka masala & butter naan! Here is some food for thought..a slice of pizza is approximately 285 calories...while it takes less than a minute to eat that slice, it will take an hour or more of walking to burn those calories...So today I am not only mentally tougher, physically stronger but a lot wiser about the choices I make thanks to the folks at The Camp...the reason I am posting this is not because I lost 21.3 lbs in 40 days but I know many who are in the same frame of mind I was 40 days ago. The Camp Transformation Center - Boot Camps Near Me - Lancaster, California

First off, I'm 27, 6'3" and started out weighing 272.2 pounds with about 27.7% body fat. I finished the camp at 251.1 pounds and a little under 25% percent body fat. As far as the workouts went, the first week was by far the most difficult. I was really sore from about day 2 to day 5. After that it was the typical muscle recovery soreness. Eating every two and a half hours, I felt like I was eating all the time. At first, I was really full all day, but by the 6th week I was hungry every time I was supposed to eat. I've heard from precious challengers that food options have changed since previous challenge's diets, but the diet is not really exciting. I can say that it gets results, though! My body composition has definitely changed and I feel much more fit. Side note, sleep is really important too, don't skimp on sleep! All in all a great experience. read more

I think it's about time I write a review for the place that got me back on track. I started the January 2017 challenge because I needed to get a swift kick in the butt to get back on track. My wife and several close friends had completed challenges in 2016 and all talked highly of The Camp and looked great! I hit the ground running (slow at first) it was definitely a lifestyle change for me. They provide all the tools you need to be successful, a diet plan, supplements and High Intensity Interval Training classes. Is it hard? Yes it is a challenge of course it will be hard. But it's a lifestyle change, and although I completed my challenge I still follow a lot of the FTDI diet plan and continued to lose weight and gain muscle. With so many people coming into these challenges and creating tight knit bonds you create a new family of people going thru the same things you are. Over the past year I have seen challengers come and challengers go, I have seen trainers come and trainers go. Does it suck to see someone you enjoyed working out next to leave? Does is suck that one of the good trainers leaves? Yes of course but that is life and life goes on. The Camp helped all those people develop and hone their skills and has made them better in life. We all owe a huge debt of gratitude to change and transformation that the Camp has given us. The Camp Transformation Center is SO amazing! I could see results in the first and second weeks! The trainers are all so great and want to see you succeed. I had 1.5 pounds to lose the day of the weigh ins and luckily I went in early in the morning the trainers worked with me for TWO HOURS until that weight was gone! It was truly amazing, now I am a member of the gym I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Love the up beat music and hardcore work outs and sweet trainers. When going to the camp it feels like a bunch of family/ friends you can feel comfortable working out and having the person next to you help if needed or take a second to catch your breath. WARNING "THE CAMP TRANSFORMATION CENTER" 6 WEEK FREE CHALLENGE IS A SCAM!!!! You need to pay $500 up front and if you don't lose 20 pounds every 6 weeks you don't get your money back. Also you are required to stay in the program until you reach a healthy weight......which is a general weight for your height on a premade chart that you do not get pinch testing tape testing or water testing to see what your muscle to fat ratio is. If you have 20 pounds to lose and you succeed you get the money back but if you lose 90 pounds but needed to lose 100 you do not. I posted this note in response to several people inquiring about the Camp on their site and the next day all my comments were deleted and my ability to post comments was taken away.....they blocked me. She handed out papers with information about frequently asked questions. She answered any/all questions. First day was great! Almost walked out the second day because the trainer cussed so much. Someone in the class had a shirt that said we'll do sit ups for peanut butter. The instructor and this woman we're going back and forth probably kidding around I don't know. Then I heard the instructor say how would you like me to shove a jar of peanut butter up your a--. As the instructor was walking off she told this woman no wonder your kid is retarded. I am a social worker and deal with disabled children and people who are disabled. I told the manager about it she apologized and suggested I try a different time in a different class when this trainers not there. She did say this trainer was leaving in 3 weeks. I should not have to work around this trainer as I need to go to a 5 a.m. class. I then emailed the owner's assistant because I feel I should get a refund. Oh I was told by the manager that I cannot get a refund because it's in the contract that there are no refunds. But it doesn't say in the contract that I have to listen to cussing and making comments about someone possibly having a disabled child. I will never go to this gym again or recommend it. I have signed up at Monster Fitness in the Lancaster marketplace and the owner is fantastic, has me on an eating plan and the trainers are extraordinarily wonderful!. read more

Ok so this place & their 20 in 42 program (20 lbs in 6 weeks), has been all over FBI lately, as well, I've have had a few friends in the program; & I've heard nothing but rave reviews!!! I attended their orientation for the program today, & found myself pleasantly surprised. The owner, trainers, & staff were so caring & genuine. They sincerely want to see each & every student make a healthy lifestyle change. In those 6 weeks they're going to push you like you've never been pushed before; but they're also going to give you the proper tools to handle it. You'll learn what you've been doing wrong, & how to change that in the future. They push all their students to reach their goal, & will modify your program if necessary. My mom and I have decided to participate in the program. She's a breast cancer survivor, & has recently been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. More important than the weight loss, we're hoping to lower & maintain her blood sugar; as well as teach her to eat nutritiously. We're always nervous her cancer may come back. So I will be writing an additional post once we've completed the program to let you know how it helped. Also, if you get picked up for the program, even though it's free, you do pay a deposit. I think it's about $397. You can pay it all at once or in payments, as long as it's paid before your class starts. As long as you finish the program, you'll get your deposit back. If you choose not to finish the program, then you'll lose your deposit. They only take 30 people, so that's somebody else's spot that you've just wasted. You'll be required to keep track of your progress on public fb posts. When it's done, you can choose to your deposit back by check, or by rolling it over into monthly membership. So I loved this place when I did the challenge and until recently. I am not happy with a lot of the business decisions the owners have made lately. Like getting rid of their best trainer and keeping ones that aren't even certified. There has also been issues with trying to end your membership. No where in the contract dies it say that you have to give at least 30 day notice. They are making people do that bit it only takes effect on your monthly billing cycle so done people have had to pay for almost 2 more months before they can leave. The owners used to show you that they cared about their embers now it's all about the bottom line. The prices keep going up and the service keeps going down. I recently completed the Alumni challenge to lose 15 pounds in 5 weeks. My previous experience with the Camp was back in September of last year when I won the Accountability challenge. Last year, both with the Camp and on my own, I lost over 50 pounds, and this gym truly helped to push me harder than I ever could have pushed myself. I had surgery in December and fell ill shortly after and developed a persistent cough which has since been diagnosed as asthma, which I have never had before. I'd been putting off getting back to the gym in the hopes that I would fully recover first. I finally decided to bite the bullet and join the Alumni challenge to jumpstart my fitness journey and I must say it has been incredibly challenging for my body to become accustomed to working out while dealing with this new asthma. I did not lose the 15 pounds in the 5 weeks, and came up short at a loss of 12 pounds. I don't regret joining the challenge though, because it has helped my body to heal and teach me how to limit myself when I need to but still give 100% because I am committed to a healthy and fit me. read more

I finished my first challenge today and I feel amazing. Team that up with tewnty-one day detox and I did back in May and the camp has helped me lose 30 pounds. Now its on to my next and hopefully last challenge, after which I plan on purchasing a regular membership. All the workers are friendly and nice. If your thinking your the kind of person who doesn't fit in a gym, or you feel uncomfortable, then this is the place for you. It is a safe zone, no bodt-shaming or judging. Everybody is there for the same thing. However, YOU are the one who needs to put in the work. The team and instructors are great and will give you as much encouragement and support as they can, but you will not get anywhere if your not motivated. The 6 week challenge is hard, the diet is strict, be ready to have cravings and want to quit. But don't, I promise you that it is worth it. Now I gave it 3 stars because I feel like I had to figure out everything myself. $500 and nothing clearly explained? Yea, kinda shady. So make a list of all the questions you need to and should ask, read the contract inside and out, then make the decision. $500 is alot. But it kept my butt in line, self-motivation comes easy when that kind of money is involved (I'm just a poor college student). Anyhow, good luck! read more
