The Canadian Brewhouse is a favourite of mine and my spouse - mainly wing night and beers on tap!! Founded in 2002, The Canadian Brewhouse is a great sports bar and restaurant, where you are guaranteed to see sport(s) everywhere - television screens, framed pictures, banners, to name but a few. The menu at the Canadian Brewhouse offer a great variety of pub foods from appetizers and finger foods to main entrees. On a recent visit, we had Taters Supreme (tater tots loaded with taco beef, cheddar cheese, sour cream, tomatoes and topped with green onions) and wings (salt & pepper and honey garlic). It was the first time eating the Taters Supreme, and it was a supreme experience as it was both new and tasty!! Wings have always been a favourite of ours as well - wings at the Brewhouse is on special Wednesday night. Although Wednesday is wings special, you can find daily specials everyday of the week, from 4 PM until closing time. The great thing is that every day is different !! Speaking of wings, you can find a whole variety of sauces (honey garlic, Buffalo, mild to hot and very hot, teriyaki and BBQ), dry rub (salt & pepper, lemon pepper, double dill, creole, blackened, etc). Regular, boneless and cauliflower wings are available, depending on your mood or preference. Main entrees include many types of sandwiches and burgers, bowls and stir fry, shepherd's pie, fig & chips, pizzas and so much more. There is a good variety of desserts as well, if. I had the opportunity to taste the caramel chocolate dessert poutine once, and it was so gooooood. Furthermore, the Canadian Brewhouse offers a full bar - drinks, cocktails and a major variety of drinks on draft and bottles, as well as soda pop. Finally, on the many times I have been to the Brewhouse, service has always been very good - polite, friendly and professional, and very rapid as well. If you are unsure of what you feel to eat and / or drink, the serving staff is there to offer recommendations!! I've never had a good meal at any brewhouse and this includes this location. I came here a while back. Once for tacos and another time had a chicken sandwich. The tacos were bland and the chicken sandwich was salty and dry. both times the service was not good. Easy to find via Google Maps but hard to find if you are just wandering around. Had to drive for an extra minute to find parking that wasn't 15min time limit. Self-seating was nice as there is a variety of options. First time on their roof-top patio. This patio is 11/10 awesome. Beautiful, love the artificial grass that you can walk barefoot on and it feels not too prickly or hot. Open sky, glass walls that break the wind but it is still able to go under and over creating a nice breeze. Definitely got my tan on but there are tables with umbrellas if you want non-direct sun. Came here to use my free Tator tot supreme appetizer. Brewhouse sends these almost monthly and considering their appetizers are more than $13 a piece this "free appetizer" is totally worth it. We got a few drinks to go with it. I got the Rose Sangria - this was 10/10 good. Good price, not too sweet, lots of frozen fruit in it. I also tried the White Sangria but this was 7/10 just orange juice and wine tasting. (like a mimosa if that's what you like). Boyfriend got a Shocktop and asked for lime flavored slush to be put on top - he said Boston Pizza calls it an "iceberg". They were happy to create this for him. He also tried the Shaft on Draft. He loves this as coffee is his thing. The Tator tots were delicious. Definity would not pay $15 for tots with 1/2 ground beef, sprinkle of cheese, drizzle of sour cream. BUT them being free was perfect to go with our booze. They were crispy, lots of fresh tomato on top. Kind of greasy appy. Loved the hockey stick spoons. If 2 people ordered this And still wanted full entrees I would be surprised as it is quite a large portion. Overall they are yummy but I would not order again...unless they are free of course. Overall absolutely LOVE Brewhouse rooftop patios - great date spot, romantic spot, or just a place to have beers with the bros. Love the deals for not just discounted food but FREE. The food was pretty good. Chicken slider patties were overcooked a bit, but I didn't care too much. I did get my garlic fingers for free, but it is a lot of them for $19. Service was decent as well. The only problem is that the guns on the Big Buck game are slightly broken/finicky. read more

My friend and I stopped in for because we really wanted their kettle cut chips. Brunch was also still on and we were in the mood for eggs Benedict. We were greeted by a great server with a great personality. She was attentive and energetic. We both ordered eggs benny and sadly they came out cold. The server offered to re-heat them, have them re-made, she handled it really well. Neither of us wanted to wait again for them to be remade as she was heading out of town and needed to be on the road, but our server genuinely cared and made every attempt to fix it. That was appreciated. The hollandaise was one of the best, we both were very happy about that and the eggs were made exactly to our liking. Just wasn't hot enough. When we got our bills the manager spoke with us and gave us a discount which also made the experience that much better. The service really was amazing, sometimes food comes out a bit cold and they would have remade it for us no problems. I will come back again. read more

This was our first time eating here, we've had drinks at other locations but never considered them for a meal until today - we were driving by their new St. Albert location and thought we would check it out. First, the service was excellent. Our server - Jess? - recommended that we download the app to get a free garlic fingers appetizer - it was huge! Hot and delicious garlicky cheesy pizza bread with bacon - delicious! The rest of the food was fantastic as well, I ordered the beet and goat cheese salad & my hubby ordered the club house with poutine. The salad was really good, a tad overdressed but restaurant salads usually are. I recommend this salad as it's pretty filling and seemed a bit of a healthier choice. I was checking out the app afterwards and they have a point system which is pretty cool. They have some awesome looking drinks on their menu so I'm looking forward to going one evening and trying some. Bottles of wine are very inexpensive on Thursdays, under $20! They have a crib tournament coming up which sounds fun! Also, I saw they have a Landmark movie special - an appetizer and movie ticket for $19.99, which we will definitely be taking advantage of. Appies are $10-15 so this is a fantastic deal for a quick bite before a movie! Kids are welcome before 8pm, and the menu is right up my kids alley so we will be back for sure! read more

We went for Saturday brunch, in this brave new world. We sat out on the rooftop patio and it was a great day. I am NOT a fan of waitresses wearing masks. I could see the cooks for sure and I understand the waitresses but that doesn't mean I like it. However the service was great. Fast and friendly. I was dumb, who drinks wine on a hot day? Either way the house red wasn't amazing. My scramble was though! I highly recommend breakfast / brunch there. We also split loaded tater tots YUM! The bill also wasn't crazy. Ten of us went there on Saturday evening for their Lobster Feast and it was great. The lobsters were fantastic and we also ordered a couple of ribeye steaks to share and make it a surf and turf. The service was awesome. All the food came out together and done just right. The atmosphere was great as everyone there seemed to be enjoying themselves. Hats off to the whole brew crew team and especially to Sher who was right on top of everything and no one had to wait for drinks as she made sure to look after all before any glasses went empty. read more

Just went to CBH terrible. I haven been here for sometime now I know why. Service was okay. Waited 45 mins for 2 orders of wings and cactus fries and a burger. Burger looked like it had been on the warmer for an hour, dry and tasteless. Cactus fries were cold and 8 wings were not great. Not hot and covered in hot sauce, like something dumped the sauce on. Watch your specials you get in your mail as we thought we could get dry ribs but it was foe the Ice House. Same place but not cannot honour their specials. The place was not busy and I know I won't be back. So many better places in St. Albert. read more

So bad. 1st visit: Edmonton location--Had to go to the bar myself to get a beer. No server to be found. Put money in the GT machine to play to find out it didn't even work. Had to go back to the bar to find someone to get my money back. 2nd visit: South St. Albert location--The service was so terrible, I had to order my drink three times before it was understood that a vodka and soda with a lime does not equal a 'slime'. Then we didn't even see our waitress to order food and I had to go the maître dee to go find her so I could pay for my drink. So I haven't even tried the food to rate it. I love Canadian Brewhouse. I go to them once a week as they have fantastic deals with the ESSC. Therefore, when I had a bad experience this weekend, I tried to brush it off as them being new. On this occasion, I went with my family and sat out on the patio. It took a good 10 minutes before we were greeted, there was a misunderstanding on what an amber beer is and we waited for one meal for over 50 minutes. The manager was apologetic however the waitress just began to avoid our table. The late meal and dessert was removed from the bill however the whole experience makes me want to stick to the south St. Albert and 97 St locations. read more

Arrived at 4:15pm, the place was 70% empty. It took about 10 minutes to be acknowledged and told someone would be by shortly. Another 6 minutes and someone came by and took our drink orders....drinks arrived about 10 minutes later. So, basically it takes 30 minutes after sitting down to get a drink in a place that just opened and isn't busy! Was going to order food but decided not to. I did not know it was possible to screw up a salad, but it can happen. That was my experience at The Canadian Brewhouse. My drink was incorrect and the salad was as 60% water. It was truly gross. I tried to send it back, but the waitress said it wasn't possible and therefore I paid for a lot of water and a few leaves. I will never go back. I couldn't even eat it. read more

Quality of food is basic at best. Have been to other GC Brewhouses and food is great. This one has seen the last of me. Smoked meat pizza with 3 pieces of pizza with NO smoked meat and only a scattering of smoked meat on the rest of the pizza. Had the same pizza at GCB in Saskatoon and each piece was loaded with smoked meat. Double burger with patties so thin they were over cooked and so dry you could hardly eat them. Good location and nice building but seldom packed like other GCB locations. Great gals working there but food is just not consistent. read more

So what a disaster this place is !!!!! First of all we got there on nov 10 evening ,Saturday night , it's completely dead and we're pretty the only table there and there is all employees sitting at the bar messing around with the manager . So we got there to have fun , we are sober and none of us drove so we are ok to have a few beers and shooters , as the night goes on we got loud laughing and just havin a blast , my GF showed up sober after work and wanted to eat something, so we ordered another round, none of us is drunk or out of line , we are in our 40"s , we know our limits! So surprised,the waitress came back with glasses of waters ?!? So I guess we were bothering the pack of employees sitting at the bar there so water it is ! Me and my GF decided to leave this place , not our jam and I told the waitress that I wanted to pay my bill and leave , she insisted that we could stay but no thank you ,I told her that will go to browns to get service that we like there . So is it ,no disrespect or anything, we just wanted to leave . Now when we got to browns , the brewhouse manager called browns (I'm a regular there ) and told this young manager boy to not letting us in !!?? What kind of BS is this ???? Specially that we didn't anything wrong or insulting anyone!!! I banned both of the places there and brewhouse is a disaster and really disappointing as always !!!! Hubby and I went for an early dinner last Friday. We ordered a few appys to share. Steak bites, taters supreme and queso dip or something along that line. Food took forever which is fine as they were busy. However when the food was eventually brought out (not by the waitress I'm assuming someone from the kitchen) it was cold! The taters were good and hot. But the steak bites were stone cold, and the dip was stone cold and had a different coloured layer on top you could tell it had been sitting a while. Very disappointing. Our waitress never came to check on the meal. Couldn't find anyone to flag down. We were so hungry after waiting forever we just ate it cold. She eventually did a quick drive by beer? Then the beer did not arrive for over 30 minutes, again by someone else! We were done and ready to leave at this point. Waitress dropped the beer and ran before I could even ask for the cheque. I pressed the button thingy to get the check, another 15 minutes no cheque. Finally another waitress came to clear our table and we asked her for the cheque. She told our waitress we were waiting and she responded, yeah I know. Very disappointing experience. Considering it was Friday afternoon/evening and busy no weight staff in sight to help. Horrible service. Food took forever and then came out cold. Will not be back. read more
