Caspian Coast is located near the Venice sign and large roundabout, not far from the beach. I always walk this way to the beach and had never realized before they opened up here before. Street parking isn't always easy to find, but is generally the easiest to find parking in the mornings. The coffee shop has a bright and airy aesthetic with lots of light and art on the walls. The store has a split-level layout, with stairs that lead to a small loft upstairs that has some seating. The space doesn't have capacity to seat a lot of people, I can't see more than 10 people being seated comfortably here, though they do offer free wifi. Staff were friendly and greeted us right away when we came in around 9ish on a Sunday morning. There were a couple of other people waiting for drinks when we came, but it was fairly quiet. We didn't take long to get our drinks. My husband got a black coffee and I got an iced matcha latte with oat milk. I thought the matcha was fine but the taste of it was a little different compared to other places and I wasn't sure if it was because the oat milk they use is different to other coffee shops. Either way, they have some interesting sounding drinks and I may be back to try those.

It has such a rich, delicious coffee taste -- definitely one of the things that stood out to me. The only downside is the seating situation. They only have two sofa booths, with no regular tables and chairs, which feels a little unusual for a coffee shop. It's definitely more of a grab-and-go spot than somewhere to sit and work or hang out. But honestly, I really like their coffee, so I'll definitely be coming back to try more drinks!

Presentation was solid with simple latte art, and the drink had a balanced, enjoyable flavor profile. The main area that held it back was the body and overall structure. It never quite reached the dense, syrupy texture I look for in a great cortado, and after about two sips the drink began to lose its integration. The body became noticeably thinner, however the flavor remained decent and enjoyable. One thing I appreciated was that the espresso itself still showed good quality. Even after the body started to fade, there was still a nice amount of crema coating the inside of the glass, which suggested the espresso was well prepared. The drink never became unpleasant--it simply evolved into a lighter, less structured version of itself. Overall, I enjoyed my first visit. Fast Times has a nice aesthetic, a comfortable atmosphere, and served a solid cortado. With more body and a structure that holds together from the first sip to the last, it could be a memorable drink.

It's one of those spots that's worth the occasional splurge because the quality is just that good. The Spanish Latte is easily one of my favorites and a must-try if you're visiting for the first time. But if you know about the secret menu... sheeeesh. I'll have to gatekeep that one. Let's just say it's hands-down the best latte I've ever had. Perfect balance, amazing flavor notes, and one of those drinks that makes you stop and appreciate how good coffee can actually be. Hubby asked the cashier what they do well. "Sandwiches! And smoothies, Açaí bowls." He did not say salad. But I ordered one anyway. I'll listen next time! They have lots of coffee and baked goods options too. The atmosphere is perfectly beach chill. Upstairs seating with windows (I didn't visit that area), and outdoor patio. They could use someone cleaning between tables but other than that, it was a pleasant spot to people watch and chat. Only downside to the big patio area is it's a Covid era build, so it's right next to traffic. When a big truck parks at the light, you're eating next to its exhaust. But that didn't happen often and it was a Saturday. So if you like the sun as much as I do, choose this section. Also - don't come here for eco friendly or insta worthy pics of the food. It's all served in to go containers. I don't eat açaí often. Rarely. But when I do, I'm always pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoy it. The açaí itself tasted like the deepest dark cherry, it had a flavor and texture that was lovely! If you order this you will not be disappointed! The Kale salad, though? Not great. They just chopped up some kale and threw it in there without softening it with oil, or rubbing it or whatever other Kale salad makers do so that one can actually chew the kale. So salt, so seasoning on it whatsoever. The other ingredients were the same. The olives were clearly just some basic sliced olives from a cheap can. Not the kind required for a salad. The grape tomatoes and side of dressing were the only elements that I enjoyed. It domes with some butterless toasted bread (like - toasted til it's tears came out dry and crunchy) and a side of decent hummus. The hummus was good, but I didn't want to eat it with the dry bread. Lucky for me I wasn't really hungry. My take is this is a great option if you stick to what the cashier says they do well. I vouch 100% for the açaí bowi! Also side note, it's not eco friendly and you won't get insta worthy pics of the food. It's all served in to-go containers.
