The Turning Blue Challenge Burger does not come out of the kitchen as advertised on the Cannon Brew Pub website. It seems like the manager of this establishment does not want people to complete the challenge. When I asked her why the burger had an egregious amount of onions inconsistent with the burger's image on the website she shrugged her shoulders and brought me my bill. If they put the right amount of onions on the burger it is not a hard challenge. Basic trainees, theres better food in Columbus, Ga for you.

Usually enjoy coming to The Cannon but this visit was very lackluster. Originally got a bacon cheeseburger that tasted like beef jerky. Dry as idk what with no flavor. Ultimately asked for it to be remade and it was actually cooked well but still lacked any flavor. Fries are good and so is the pickle that comes along with it though. Our server was inattentive and did not inform me that 2oz of sauce would be an extra dollar each when I asked for them. When I asked why she didn't tell me it would be extra "It doesn't come with it...". Bad experience that will make me not come back for a while.

The Cannon Brew Pub was hitting on all cylinders today. We had two delicious burgers. One with fries and the other with homemade chips. The third meal was a savory Chicken Pot pie with fries. Great service and ambiance. We recommend you stop in and give them a try if you already done so.

Ate here before going to an event at the Civic Center. Food was good, much better than regular bar food. I had the Tiger Brian's it was cooked exactly as order. She had Blackened chicken bayou with shrimp, it looked good too. The servers were prompt and knew the beer menu, I had the peach ale the server suggested.

I came with a group of 5 others for a late lunch without a reservation and we were seated immediately. We split a variety of appetizers--cheese curds, onion "beer" rings, and fried pickles. The cheese curds were okay themselves but the dipping sauces (buffalo and raspberry) really elevated the dish, and ended up being perfect to also pair with the pickles. I ordered Chuck's Spinach Salad and couldn't even finish it, it was so large. The chicken in it was plain but the dressing and other toppings offset that. The draft list was also pretty nice, so I suggest checking out their in-house brews.

We opted to eat here instead of the Irish pub we were walking to. Mainly bc I assumed "brewpub" meant lots of draft options. Less of a pub feel instead and more restaurant. Service was slow starting out due to shift change but got better. Music inside was great (70s/80s). Atmosphere was decent. There is not a large draft selection. I'm guessing they do brew their own but options are limited. I got a beer cocktail (Cannon Tea) with their red jacket ale, shot of Jamison and splash of ginger ale. I'd recommend. Burger prices were high. $18-$20. That didn't make sense to me. I got the Bulldog Burger with their mash. It was good, but their mash was better. It was not an $18 burger IMO. Then again, I've had Wendy's burgers for much less that I would've paid $18 for. Overall, decent spot to stop. Nothing really exceeded my expectations but nothing bad either.

Hostess was nice and personable. However food another story. Fried pickles good but kind of hard to mess to fried pickles. This spinach dip was nasty, very processed tasting, no cheese taste, yucky. Waste of money. I ordered my burger medium well and as you can see in picture it's well well done. Dry as a desert. My drink is a blackberry lemonade vodka based and has a weird aftertaste. This place disappointed. We here from out of town so def will never be back but even if I lived here just gross.

We had the coolest server ever with energetic service even though it was the end of Saint Patrick's day. Thanks STORMIE! You made our first visit here a great one. We ordered the Calamari with the chipotle dipping sauce although it had a good taste it was fried a little hard. We also ordered the Sliders, I enjoyed the beer fried onions on them. Although we didn't eat much, I really enjoyed the appetizers and our dining experience. The restaurant was packed for Saint Patty's Day but the waited wasn't long at all. I love the atmosphere of this friendly pub. Thanks again STORMIE for the great service.

I got the turkey avocado melt and the whole thing was cold. Including the meet and bread. It tasted like a cold lunch meat sandwich. Disappointed with the food for sure but the beer is good. I wouldn't eat food here again but great house crafted beer. If you just get beer and maybe apps it's a good spot. They just need a new chef in my opinion.

Good burger, sweet potatoe fries, and beer. Nothing really stood out, but I enjoy a solid burger, fries and craft beer.

Have been here multiple times and have NEVER had anything bad and the service is so nice and cheerful. I would definitely recommend if your near stop by and give it a try I promise you will not be disappointed. Husband got the Elvis burger and said it was weird but really good

Don't Ya Know Burger is perfection!

All things perfect! I would drive the three hours to eat here again. Their Blonde Peach beer is delicious

Unfortunately, this food was not good and the experience was less than ideal. I ordered a bulldog burger and asked for it to be made well done. Somehow the outside was burned and the inside of the burger was still pink. That was fine if the burger had flavor but it didn't. It was as plane as a burger at an inexpensive diner. The house salad was on par with most restaurants and it tasted fresh. Aesthetically, it is need of updates and the seating was not comfortable or inviting. Service was quick, but we also felt rushed to leave. So we did. Closing is at 9:30 and it was only 6:30. I might give it another shot some other time, but I'm not planning on it any time soon.

Came here on a Saturday night with my partner. No reservations so we grabbed a seat at the bar,…read morethis is the pro move. Richard (bartender) and Adrienne (our server) were fantastic. Both provided recommendations when ask and were extremely accommodating and personable. We ordered a bottle of the Grillo which was an excellent value and delicious white wine. I prefer Sauvignon Blanc and this did not disappoint. For dinner we tried the ravioli and meatball parm (Adrienne's recommendation) both were delicious! We have plenty of leftovers to last us. Ended the meal with house made absinthe (my partner swears it tasted like gummy bears) and limoncello. Do not sleep on Gabagool! Service was phenomenal, drinks were fun and food was delicious. We felt like we were at Nona's house!

In stark contrast, the Lemoncello Cheesecake Martini proved an absolute delight: rich, creamy, and lush with bright lemonade notes. Intensely satisfying and dangerously drinkable, one could happily indulge in a gallon of this velvety concoction. Service brought its own inconsistencies. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive, cheerfully assisting with menu navigation. However, requests for ice water were met repeatedly with room-temperature glasses, requiring multiple reminders that never quite resolved the issue. The menu itself presented a minor puzzle--the dessert section was absent, leaving us uncertain whether a separate dessert menu existed or if options had simply been overlooked. The appetizers shone brightly. The Fried Green Tomatoes arrived as a visually stunning plate (we had already dispatched two of the four slices before snapping a photo). The breading was on the heavier side yet carried solid flavor, while the accompanying sauces stole the show. The marinara was exceptional--deep, fresh, and layered with complexity; one could easily envision bottling it. The cream sauce provided a lovely counterpoint to the vibrant pesto, which surprised me (as a general pesto skeptic) with its balanced texture and multifaceted flavor profile. The Burrata and Charcuterie-style starter was equally successful. Featuring a generous bowl of creamy burrata, two varieties of sweet jam, assorted cured meats, and crusty bread, it invited creative assembly into custom crostini. This interactive element added an innovative, playful touch while delivering robust, harmonious flavors. Unfortunately, the main courses told a more mixed story. The Sausage and Broccolini pasta was a clear disappointment. Visually, it arrived swimming in excess grease that overwhelmed the palate from the first few bites onward and very muted tones. While the pasta was perfectly cooked, the broccolini retained a pleasant crunch, and the sausage offered good initial flavor and texture, the sheer quantity of oil coated everything, rendering subsequent tastes one-dimensional and heavy. In hindsight, the Shrimp Caprese might have been the wiser choice, though the menu's lack of portion detail gave pause. My husband's Chicken Parmesan fared better. The cutlet showed a darker presentation that stopped short of burnt, and while the visual appeal suffered slightly, the flavor delivered. The pasta was cooked beautifully with a well-balanced sauce portion, and the generous cutlet itself was tender and satisfying--a solid, classic execution. Overall, the meal had moments of real brilliance, particularly in the appetizers and that unforgettable martini, tempered by execution missteps in temperature control and richness management. A restaurant with clear potential, though one that would benefit from tighter attention to fundamentals.

They check on us now and then letting us know how long the food will take since they are short on staff and have a couple of large parties before us. We ordered their full rib in dry and the sweet potato brisket waffles. The reason why I don't give them a 5 stars is because their meat seems to be a bit too dry. The brisket on my waffle have to add a lot of maples in order to make them moisture, the good thing about the meal is the meat portion are very generous and flavorful. She did not tell me there was an up-charge for a side of ranch for my fries which I probably would not have asked for since, as you can see from my small plate I ate only about 5 fries. The atmosphere is very relaxed. The bathrooms were not very clean and our table was a bit dirty. We used sanitized napkins and they were dirty after wiping our table. The food was really good which is why I gave it 4 stars. The meat was tender and very tasty. The fries were very good as well. This place could be a five star but due the above mentioned issues with cleanliness and up charge, I could not bring myself to a five star review.
