Took my AR in to have a muzzle device swapped. Robert swapped the device and noted how much red…read moreloctite the rifle builder used when he put the muzzle device on. Upon inspecting the rifle at home I noticed the rail was torqued to where one of the anti-rotation tabs at the top broke. When I put my suppressor on the new muzzle device the alignment was off because the suppressor wouldn't seat flush because of a burr left by Robert when he used a wrench to put it the device on. I was worried bringing it back in, like taking your car back to a mechanic who damaged it in some way, but brought it in anyways. When I brought it in he was chatting with the Fedex lady and nobody was in the shop (he wasn't busy at all). I very calmly and humbly asked him to take a look and when I put the alignment rod in to show the alignment was off he flipped out, took the gun, and said "I DON'T NEED YOU TO TELL ME 5 TIMES!!!" and stormed off in a tantrum to the back to de-burr the device. When he came back I said "Hey sorry if..." and he cut me off, yelling at me that he doesn't need me to waste his time by telling him things "more than 3 times" (this time it was 3...lol). I never repeated myself btw...this was a deflection tactic that was really sad to watch from a grown man with a head full of gray hair. Then he went on to say something to the effect of "wrenches don't fit perfectly and when you torque things down to spec that happens!!! (meaning putting a burr on my muzzle device) Still, I maintained a humble voice, telling him I wasn't trying to say he was a bad gunsmith or anything like that and he basically said "yeah have a nice day" and so I left. Imagine that. The guy ruins the rail on my brand new $1700 rifle, damages the $185 muzzle device, and then has a temper tantrum when the customer comes back...even when the customer is NICE and tip toeing around his ego. This is what I get for trying to support the small guy in a dusty old shop full of broken bb guns on display (lol) instead of going to much better shops in Denver. Since Colorado is a one-party consent state, meaning only one party needs to consent to the recording, I was fortunate enough to document this transaction by recording the audio of the entire thing. Good luck, Robert!

Once I found the placed tucked into the edge of a residential neightboorhood I walked in and was greated by a very friendly gentlemen. He gladly showed me the bonds as well as several others. They had a great selection of handguns, ammo and accessories. I have also heard people rave about their gunsmithing services but I can't speak for them myself. All in all a great little shop, prices seam aroudn MSRP but everything is negotiable.

There was another one with curly hair who told my dad he could speak great Spanish but my Dad had no idea what he was saying. He said it felt like the guy was trying to flirt with him and it made him really mad and I agree with my father, its very unproffesional. The one short brown haired guy was extremely helpful which was the only good experience. The blond one told me it was a Lazy River and that he caught small fish but enjoyed the nature and wildlife.

One of the guides, Pete contacted us as was absolutely amazing. We learned about him taking his grandson fishing and even about his dog. Pete was in constant contact making sure we had all the info, directions as there is very poor cell service where we will be fishing. We even decided to bring special treats for his dog. The trip is scheduled for tomorrow and we are so excited, all our gear is laid out including 3 bags of dog treats. My wife and I left multiple messages with Golden River Sports saying it was for Travis explaining we were extremely happy about how wonderful Pete the guide for Wednesday is but not a word from the guide for Thursday. After days of no phone calls from Travis or GRS I called and explained we are not comfortable or happy about the lack of professional conduct from Thursday's guide or GRS so cancel Thursday but we are excited about how great the guide for Wednesday is. On Tuesday We finally get a call from Travis and he says has no clue about any of this he was just confirming our booking. I explained there is a big issue with professionalism and communication with GRS and we canceled Thursday but were very excited and were very impressed with Wednesday guide Pete. He stated " thank you for bringing this to my attention but I don't feel comfortable about sending my guide out with you. I said I'm just bringing this to your attention and love working with Pete. He said he was canceling our trip! At this point now I'm mad! I try to help this guy and tell him we have no problem with Pete and it's your company that has the problem. I then stated I better not see one penny charged on my credit card!!!so we drove here from Iowa, rented an Airbnb waiting to go on our bucket list fly fishing trip and paid all this money to squeeze in 2 days of fishing. Now I ask you would you want to trust your money or precious time with a company like this??? Buyer beware!

The store itself is huge and located within the restored 1901 Denver Tramway Building. This building is all brick and just stunning to walk up to and into. They offer every type of equipment one would need for their selected sport whether it's hiking, climbing, cycling, camping, paddling, skiing, snowboarding or overall fitness. They also offer the option to rent outdoor equipment, provide a full range bike shop and ski and snowboard services. The store features a 47 foot tall climbing wall right in the middle of the floor and other unique decorations. I have never been in such a huge REI store but it was a fun experience. My husband managed to spend all his saved up gift cards (Ha! Ha!) Service was friendly and helpful from the staff. REI can always be a little on the spendy side but I always try to catch their sales. I love being a member and receiving my annual rewards. Parking is the only downer as it's only free for the first hour. After that you must pay and believe me, an hour is not enough time here. So glad we had the opportunity to stop in, shop and check out this historic location.
