A fly tyer's paradise owned and operated by fly tying expert and author Charlie Craven himself! Charlie was there today and was more than happy to advise us on selecting flies for the specific lake we'll be venturing to tomorrow. Tying supplies are in abundance at this beautiful store, as is a wide select of all other gear you may need. While this store is a bit pricey, it is easy to see why this shop is a favorite among discerning Colorado anglers. Staff is extremely helpful, gear is top notch, the location is convenient if you're bound for the high country, and a number of classes are available. My only lament is the lack of women's gear, but this is a problem in the fly fishing industry in general!

I visited during a very busy day looking for hiking boots for Colorado living and also Mt Kilimanjaro. Since it was so busy I was helped by someone in the shoe department who didn't quite have the knowledge to guide me to what I need. I ended up leaving with 2 pairs that I ultimately returned. Not the best but they were busy. HOWEVER, I went back on a less busy day, and Tom in the shoe department was an absolute angel. I told him what I'm looking for and he pulled 3 pairs out for me- size, weight, function that I needed. The second pair I tried fit like an absolute glove and I was in and out much faster and happier. Tom was super helpful and had the knowledge to vouch for this pair of shoes. Very happy, give that man a raise!

We got to try out some of the REI equipment, like tents, sleeping bags and camping chairs and got informed on many other things you should bring when camping and proper protocol and guidelines. Yelp Elite put this on, and what a great job Matt and the team did. Astro Coffee was there caffeinating us, phenomenal coffee/drinks. All-in-all not only is REI one of my favorite places to go and just walk around and look at all of the gear, clothing etc but the classes they do are really well done. I want to get more involved with these and any guided adventures they setup.

Not only is this a place to practice archery, it's a community. We really appreciate all the staff - Dan, Felix, Will, Tracy, Kelly, Scotty...etc. everyone played a big part of our journey here. Other friendly archers - Chris, Tom, Troy, Ted... who have shared their experience and knowledge with us. (Chris for teaching me so much!) Most of all, owner/mentor/coach Tom, he seriously is the best in the business, so down to earth and treats us like family. I will continue to bring friends here to try archery and continue to support them the best we can. If you're ever interested in archery, RMS is the place to be. Thanks Tom and team!!
