We went here for the first time this week. We came on a Wednesday night and they were steady but not to busy. We got sat almost immediately. Our server was mostly attentive. We ordered fish and chips and a club sandwich, both were great choices. The tartar sauce was great the fish portion was slightly small. My kids ordered the Sheppards pie which was great and a good portion for kids. My daughter ordered the burger and it was very thin and burnt so that was a no go. We went in for lunch and was greeted and seated by a very friendly lady. Our server was very nice and efficient. Good came out in a good amount of time. I ordered the patty melt. My wife ordered a French dip. Both were very good I just wish the patty was as big as the bread and it would have had more onions. But the flavors were good The restrooms need a work over. Four of us had linch here yesterday, We have been there many times i n the past. We are never dissapointed. The food is always great as is the "Pub" atmosphere. Now the service is something else. The servers are always happy(even when they are overwhelmed with custamers). They are super always super pleasant, and accomodating. We always have the Scotch Eggs as an appitiser. We found this place from a quick search after our long morning of hiking. My daughter fell asleep right as we pulled in and thankfully she was able to continue her nap due to the spacious booths!! Also the restaurant isn't overly loud (at least not while we were there from 2-3pm). Service was excellent. This place is awesome! It's a cozy English pub that transports you to another place. The fried pickles are to die for. Hands down best in Tucson!! With everything we tried the food was on par if not better than any main stream place in Tucson in terms of quality Yard House, BJs, Cheesecake Factory etc. I tried the Sheppards pie (never had it before anywhere) and it was very good. It was too tangy rather than having that deep, comforting flavor that I've grown accustomed to from other Irish pubs. I'm definitely not an expert in shepherds pie by any means, but the filling was too sweet and tomato-y for my liking. We ordered the "pickle planks" as our appetizer but they were way too bready. This was a fun late night pub. It was busy when we arrived. There wasn't really a hostess stand to check-in and the "waiting" area was in the way of the front doors. Once we got seated the experience was smoother. Our server was attentive. Even though it was busy the staff was keeping up with the crowd. They have several TVs playing sports. There is a bar with many drink choices. We ordered the Irish nachos, YUM. I also got the prime rib. It was pretty good but nothing to write home about. I wanted to try the Irish creme brulee but was full after the nachos. This is a good restaurant close to where I normally stay when I am in town. I got the Big Dill burger the second time and it was not great but the Irish nachos were delightful. They worked with me to secure a reservation with a large group and were very helpful. The service has always been too notch and we have always been seated quickly. The whole place has a genuine Irish pub vibe that really works for it. Comfortable seating both at the bar and in the restaurant allows you to want to stay for a few drinks. The food is diverse. The menu is small but has a little bit of everything. Although I have been in AZ only a couple of days it seems everyone wears football jerseys from out of state. Here the bartender was wearing a Packers jersey. It is all good! There are numerous TVs playing sports and the restaurant itself offers bar and table seating. The restaurant offers a wide selection of British beers along with wine and fun cocktails/martinis. Our waitress was able to make great recommendations based on what we were wanting to try. I personally tried the Hole in One (which is basically a boozed-up Arnold Palmer) and a Rainbow Roadtrip (sweet, sweet Smirnoff with lots of fruity flavor). Both delicious and fairly priced at $7.50 each considering how much alcohol they seemed to have. The food itself was fantastic. I had the fish and chips, and they were delicious! Flakey, nicely seasoned, and big enough for two to share. My husband had the Guinness Pie which was also delicious with their mashed potatoes. I thought this restaurant was actually very authentic and true to form with how a typical British or Irish restaurant is. Having been to both England and Ireland in the past it definitely reminded me of being there. Everything from the old decor to the large wood tables gives you that pub feeling. The food was also some of the best British fare I have had in a while. My boyfriend had the Guinness pie which had a wonderful deep flavor to go along with his mashed potatoes. My roast beef dip sandwich was good but a bit on the dry side. However the creamy horseradish gave it the flavor it was missing. The fries were excellent. We also had a couple appetizers....fried pickles and "pub footballs". Both were excellent but be warned the fried pickles come as large flat breaded pickles and not the small rounds we are used to. Lastly, our waiter was a bit "off". He brought us second iced tea drinks that we did not ask for then proceeded to charge us $0.50 for each one. Not once did he mention there are not free refills. She always made sure our drinks were full and kept us happy. I ordered a draft beer and my girlfriend ordered a bogle wine. For an appetizer we ordered pub pretzles with mustard and cheese. It was good. For dinner, I ordered a Pub Philly with auju with fries and my girlfriend ordered a Gourmet grilled cheese sandwich with sliced tomatoes and fries. Everything tasted hot and fresh. I wish I remembered our waitresses name because she was on top of it and went above and beyond with service and recommendations. The food was delicious we got an array of wings, spinach dip, pretzels, salads, bangers and mash, corned beef, mac and cheese you name it we got it! Everything was delicious and they had house made sauces which were delectable. We sat outside in the evening so it was dim lighting and perfectly enjoyable for our party of 8.
