Went there to watch Ravens opening game. They were overwhelmed and understaffed. Food came sporadically and most of it was cold. Got the all you could eat special and was hard to get the food. Sat for 20 minutes before we even got our drink order. They seem to cater to larger groups and not to parties of less than 4. Not sure we would go back. read more

This place has roaches! It's a shame because I love the food here, and the owner is really nice. My friends and I have given this place a few chances, but the last couple of times we've gone the service has been extremely disappointing, not to mention we've seen a roach around the bar area, and in our booth by the window. I hate to write a bad review like this, but it would be wrong not to say anything. If there are bugs in the dining area, I'm only left to assume that they must also be in the kitchen. Ordered a pepperoni pizza with extra cheese with a cold beer on one of their free poker nights. The pizza was very good and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Definitely a superior pie that has a crispy-doughy crust. The sauce has a strong authentic oregano flavor to it that ties everything together. CC is kind of out of the way and I tend to forget its there, but must keep it in mind, because their pizza is worth the trip. Awful service and food was subpar! It took 30 min for our drink order to be taken, and another 30 minutes after that for our food order to be taken. I didn't see my waitress so I asked another waitress if our order could be taken and she said she would find our waitress, apparently that NEVER happend hints the hour long wait for our food order to be taken. It was totally ridiculous and I can't believe how the servers wouldn't even compensate for one another! Don't waste your time! read more

Went in for the all you can eat wings. Waited 30 min just to order because everyone thought someone else was tending to our table. Then another 30 min just to get our wings which were so greasy and nasty. So we decided to try another flavor thinking they might be better another 40 min and we just got the wings after I told them to cancel the order and bring me the check.... They were not that damn busy and kept helping other people ignoring us. And some how the waitress kept switching up our drinks so we had to taste and switch drinks twice. Capital Crave has delicious food and wonderful service. The owner is devoted to making everything on the menu the most wonderful you've ever tasted. I've lived in 7 large cities across the U.S., including Charleston, SC and Atlanta, GA, both food meccas and I was afraid I wouldn't be satisfied at CC. Boy, was I wrong! If your tastes run to the casual and comfort foods like wings (the BEST and what a variety!), Mac and cheese and other scrumptious pasta dishes, burgers, fabulous subs, salads,etc., THIS is your go to place. Just had the All You Can Eat Wing Buffet. Advertised at $14.99. 5 people in our party. On our first trip to buffet, it was nearly empty and just warm. No napkins, styrofoam saucers to eat on. We had to ask them to make more wings. Fries were served cold and came out before the appetizer of crab dip. Server did not check the table for drink refills, or to clear dishes. We would flag her down or catch her passing by to ask for refills, ketchup, etc. checked in at 3:52 pm, at 5:40 after waiting 5 - 10 minutes, I had to catch the server to ask for the check. SHOCK!!! We were charged a large party gratuity fee of $21.20. Receipt shows a party of 8. Questioned server and manager, got 2 different explainations. Manager said server was confused. Policy is if anyone in the party orders AUCE, automatic large party gratuity is charged because the party will sit longer and the wait staff works harder. What a joke! Even after showing him our filthy, cluttered table and explaining our frustration, he offered nothing. We were forced to pay $21.20 because we had an all you can eat meal. This made our meals cost $19.23 each. Not going back there. Hope you don't either. read more

Great food! Portion/price ratio is on point; the smallest stromboli is big enough for two. Wings were big and perfectly cooked, bunch of sauces to choose from! I absolutely love this place and I wish they would advertise that they are open more. It's in the same building at the VFW in Frederick, MD and has a great outdoor area overlooking the golf course. The food is phenomenal and priced very well. I recommend their wings (garlic parm is great) and also their regular or white pizza. Always amazing service and if you're sitting at the VFW they will bring it by for you and deliver it. read more

We went there for lunch today and the food and service were great. I had the wings and they were so good. We had two Special Needs teenagers in the group and the server was very respectful when taking their orders, making sure that all their particular requests were accommodated. Went for a little happy hour after work and stayed for dinner. My husband ordered chicken wings and asked for them to be medium. They weren't hot enough for him so our waiter (Ben) brought out a dish of habanero sauce. Hubby said nothing after that as he was happily eating his wings. I ordered potato skins as an entre and they were quite nice! We'll definitely come back. Service was friendly and prompt...only thing I noticed was that my water glass was empty several times and I had to ask to have it refilled. Not a good place to go at all for a drink. Ordered a bacardi and coke today. It came in a glass not much taller than a shot glass and much smaller than a sippie cup. I was told this was $6.50. I asked to speak with the manager and was told the owner/ Manager was "in a meeting" He could not even come down to talk with one of his only 6 customers in the restaurant. I will not ever go back to this place nor will I ever recomend to someone I may consider less than a friend. read more

Best pizza and wings in Frederick!! The wings are so meaty!! I can't finish an order of 5 before I get too full! The pizza is to die for!! EVERYTHING on this menu is great! The cheesesteaks are as close to Philly as it gets. No whiz, but who wants plastic on their cheesesteak anyway? Nothing but the best, freshest ingredients are served here. The staff is courteous and very helpful. Previous poor reviews are not characteristic of this place. Every restaurant has a bad day now and then, but Capital Crave will always be first on my top ten list. They will remain open during and beyond the golf course development, and they plan to open an ice cream shop soon. This has been our family's favorite restaurant since we moved to Frederick. Good food at a great price. The restaurant opened recently in the VFW Country Club and is open to the general public. My first visit was before the official opening so I've seen it grow. It's mostly Italian style food in a casual bar and grill type atmosphere. While the service can be a bit slow they do make everything fresh and the calzones are worth the wait. Deeee-lish! This is one of my favorite spots. I love the casual atmosphere and the service is terrific. Mediocre food and service at best. When my husband and I complained to the owner about being charged an automatic 18% gratuity on a 2-party check, we were given a shrug and told that because we occupied a table for more than 2 hrs, we were "ensuring" the server a tip. My husband and I looked, but could not find this "policy" stated anywhere. My husband and I normally tip 20% or more, but if I had not caught the automatic gratuity at the bottom of our bill, I would have tipped an additional $10 to our $51 tab. I have never been to a restaurant which tipped 18% on a 2-top, especially since we bring our business to Capital Crave almost every Wednesday because we're in a dart league which plays out of there. Our tab consisted mostly of alcoholic drinks- I've never been impressed with their food. The lprevious two times when we had a tab there, I thought I had been overcharged, but I never got an itemized receipt. This past time, I asked for one, and found out about the automatic gratuity which had been in effect for several weeks. Therefore, I had tipped a total of 38% for the previous two checks- 18% which they had charged, and my own normal 20%.When I brought his fact up to the owner, Chris, he basically told us that he had to take care of his server's needs even over his customers'!
