Soy Glazed Brussels Sprouts with Bacon

What can I say? I love this place and each visit I'm impressed by the maintenance of quality (menu items aren't changed much over time) and each new server is engaging and professional. Gilberto was no different. He was a class act from appetizers to dessert. My son's birthday was both memorable and delicious! Restrooms are sparkling, staff is impeccable, ambiance is elegant and I'm forever a fan.

10/10. Capital Grille does it again. We brought some friends with us tonight and everything was spot on. The appetizers blew my friends away. For meals we got the bone in Kona crusted ribeye. We all got our meals cooked med rare. Cooked to perfection. This continues to be, and will always be our favorite spot to host guests and to come for a great meal. Generous pour is a fantastic touch and a great way to drink a variety of wines.

Happy Birthday

Took my mother here for her birthday. It's a very classy establishment and if you're celebrating a birthday they take care of you. They decorated the table with confetti, gave a complementary dessert, and took your photo which they put inside of a card. While this aspect of the dinner was nice, I wasn't impressed with the food. This is the type of place where you purchase your meat and sides are extra. My steak was okay, but the lobster mac and cheese wasn't very good. I did enjoy the spinach and the clam chowder however. I just felt like I've had just as good of meals for less of a price at other steakhouses. The waiter also tried to sell dessert to us instead of giving us the birthday ones. I had read online prior to the dinner that they give birthday desserts so I caught it... but I figured this was to make the bill higher... I will say the desserts were the highlight of the meal for me. That creme brûlée cheesecake was phenomenal. Overall it was a fine experience but I just didn't feel like the quality of the food was anything extravagant for it to be that price.

This restaurant was on the list for my birthday. Always saw this place but never ventured in till now. Save your money to come because it is quite expensive. The restaurant is classy. You want to dress nice here. They treat you with a few specials if you tell them it's your birthday. They decorate the table with confetti and give you a birthday card which I thought was sweet! So the menu is that you order your meat, whether chicken, steak, etc.... Then you order vegetables or other foods like spinach, mashed potatoes and lobster macaroni and cheese, just as a few examples, for the sides. So this makes the bill expensive. Then there are alcohol or soda drinks. We started with their assortment of breads which was good. Then had clam chowder which was also a hit! I ordered the steak with a sauce that came with mushrooms and small onions that was delicious! My daughter ordered a plain steak that didn't have any taste. We ordered the spinach and lobster Mac and cheese as sides. To be honest, the lobster Mac and cheese was too expensive for what they give you and not too tasty. My drink was very good. Then you get complimentary small deserts for your birthday. I read a review where you get some desert, but the waiter gave us the menu to choose from. If my daughter didn't ask, I don't know if he would have told us. They were very good but small! Then the last perk for my birthday was a picture that they put in a card to take home. I liked that too! All in all, a great experience but not a place to come on a regular basis because of the price. But you need to come for the experience, especially on your birthday! I am glad I did.

If you want a great meal with great service, this needs to be on your list. They have great rooms for private events and a really nice bar everything you need for a great time out. Food is top notch and great cocktails.

Booked in an industrial area I found this place a mile away. I sat at the bar which was ideal for dining alone. My steak was tender and hot with not a drop of excess fat. Asparagus was perfect, tender yet crispy with a grilled lemon/ band butter drizzle. Service was prompt and courteous. Great supper.

Dinner at the bar.Good service with a low key vibe.Everything done in a timely matter that was smooth and enjoyable.

I recently celebrated my 70th birthday, and requested a nice quiet dinner. My husband made reservations at Capital Grill, requesting Amy, the server, as we heard wonderful reviews of her talent. I had the Tomahawk Veal Chop, and my husband had the Rib Eye, with sides of Au Gratin potatoes, sautéed spinach and grilled asparagus. The veal and Rib Eye were cooked to perfection and the sides were all better then expected. Our experience was above and beyond what I had expected. Little did I know, my husband had informed Amy of my birthday. When we arrived, the table was set up celebrating my special day, making our experience extra special. I ordered the Crème Brûlée for dessert, and again, WOW, it came out with candles and and extra dessert wishing me a "Happy Birthday" I will always remember my special dinner, and will always request Amy, as our server, when we return to Capital Grill!!

Both of us enjoyed the meals--the scallops were grilled to perfection, the spinach steamed and hot, and the risotto creamy and tasty. That said, I wouldn't go out of my way to visit. The food was just okay, especially for the price. The portions were on the smaller side and felt a bit expensive for what you get. They do offer gluten-free options, which is always appreciated. Overall, a decent, convenient spot if you're nearby, but not necessarily a destination restaurant.

We each had an entree, shared 2 orders of the beef empanadas (Star of the show!), and a total of 5 cocktails and 2 beers. The bill came to just over $300 before tip. This isn't horrible for a tapas spot, but the taste of the entrees were just not worth it. That, and the amount of alcohol you get in most of the cocktails. So much ice and like 2 sips of drink. There's 1 drink with aperol and champagne that is big and you get the remainder of the small champagne as a side car though. We had 2 of the paellas and they were on the smaller side for paella. The flavor was meh and nothing really stood out. I had the steak frites and it was such a small portion of steak. Maybe 4 oz? And the char flavor was so overpowering. The chimichurri I was looking forward to was extremely mild in flavor. The fries were cooked nicely though. Our server was friendly but forgetful. She kept forgetting parts of our order and whether she had already done something or not. Was a bit odd. Overall, I won't be making an effort to come back here.

This is our 2nd anniversary coming by and they just make you feel like royalty. There is plenty of free self parking available. The inside is more masculine but beautiful. I've never been to a place that makes me feel like I am important like they do. We got the fried clams to start. They were sweet and well fried. Tender and paired with a nice sauce. We shared the 48oz cowboy ribeye. It was massive and presented so nicely. Last year I had the regular ribeye and prefer it but there was nothing wrong with this. You get to choose sauce or salt. I made a reservation for a Saturday night at 7:00 for two. Note: I originally went to make the reservation online from their website but the availability was not good, so I called instead. Online it pretty much looked booked between 4:30 and 8:00 - I called and was able to get 7:00 without hesitation. So, make note to call if you don't see the time or range listed online. We were greeted as we entered and checked in with the host/hostess. They were friendly and polite and told us it would just be a few minutes. They brought us back to our table and had us seated shortly there after. Our waitress was great; she told us about the specials, checked in on us, and made sure everything was as expected. We ordered some bevs that were very tasty and had great presentations. Speaking of presentation, let's get on to the food. We ordered the Tomahawk, which if you don't know, is a MASSIVE piece of meat. It's a steak meant to serve two people - in reality, it serves way more than two. The presentation of the tomahawk steak plate alone was beautiful! It had a whole bunch of stuff (see pic). They bring it out for you to see, and then they take it back to the kitchen to slice. We ordered medium rare, and probably should have gone more medium but it was not too rare so it was fine. Now, at The Bancroft, it is an à la carte style meal, meaning you order sides separately and usually a few for the table. We had the carrots (one of the specials), roasted potatoes, and creamed spinach. Forgot to say when you order meat, you also get to pick two sauces - and before anything while you wait they bring you some rolls and butter. The rolls started us off on the right foot knowing the meal was going to be phenomenal. They were warm with some sea salt on top and baked to perfection. The steak was mouth watering, juicy, and flavorful. The sauces added a great touch, and the sides were wonderful. It is safe to say, we did not leave hungry! As mentioned, while tomahawk is said to serve two, we had a lot of leftovers so of course we got those packed up to go. They were very considerate with the packaging, putting items in different boxes that made sense. We unfortunately did not have room for dessert but I'm sure it would've been awesome. The Bancroft is definitely a higher scale restaurant so it is on the pricer side, but it is justified. The food tastes great, presentation is there, and service is excellent. It's a great place for special occasions, celebrations, or just because as long as you know what to expect... but with prices today, I'd rather pay this and have it be worth it than what a crappy meal is costing today!

It has always been great, and we had never had any issues, which is why, this past Father's Day--the first since my dad passed away a few months earlier--I ordered his favorite meal to take home: chicken parm with extra sauce over pasta and a house salad with their delicious dressing. About 20-30 minutes after ordering, I was notified that the food was ready, so I went straight to the restaurant after walking my dog. When I checked in, several very nice hostesses assured me it would be out in a moment. That continued for nearly an hour, with different explanations for why it still wasn't ready despite my being told to pick it up: they were packing it, checking on it, and so on. The wait itself wasn't the problem. I just wish someone had acknowledged there had been a mistake and told me to come back later. I wasn't in a rush; I simply didn't want to sit in a hot restaurant while my dog waited in the car, forcing me to run outside every five minutes to check on him. The experience was frustrating, and I do wish some sort of compensation had been offered as a gesture. The hosts were very kind, but I still don't understand why I was told the food was ready and then made to wait nearly an hour. The reason we will not return to Lucia's or recommend it, however, is the manager I spoke with when I called to explain what had happened. He was curt, dismissive, rude, and unapologetic--an absolute jerk. The only thing he repeated was, "We have an hour to get the food out." There was no point in explaining that it had already been more than an hour since I ordered, and zero chance he cared that a quiet, meaningful moment on a difficult holiday could have been made better by a little understanding, but was instead made worse. Frankly, I would not trust a dish he touched going forward. If he is the manager, I feel bad for everyone who works for him. The fish rots from the head.
