My only disappointment was that I asked for their recommendation on dessert. I wasn't a fan of their coconut cake. I feel like it could be better, have more texture or more ice cream.. Food - ordered filet without butter, it was very dry. My husband ordered the ribeye rare, said it was overcooked. Fries were good but are cooked with seed oils, would love to see them switch to tallow. However, they were very accommodating to our dietary requirements. Service - sat in the bar, Mayson was excellent! Very friendly and attentive. The bartender on the other hand was rather rude. He took the half eaten fries because the ketchup was gone, instead of offering more ketchup. He said "you're done with the ketchup, so you're done with the fries"... that was just really odd. Overall, I was a bit disappointed with my last meal here with relatives. A complimentary Bread Basket containing Lavosh and other bread products, along with a meaty Shrimp Cocktail that I expanded to 8 shrimps, was a nice start. A large crock of French Onion Soup was perfectly prepared as usual, even though it was too much to finish and still have room for the rest of my dinner (Ordering a bowl instead of a cup of soup is on me!). And a Wedge Salad was well made and tasty, too. A side of Gluten-free Au gratin Potatoes was a highlight for me. And others at my table enjoyed Sam's Mashed Potatoes. A side of Roasted Wild Mushrooms enhanced two steaks, and Diane very much liked her Pan-Seared Sea Bass. But I found my entree of Seared Tenderloin with two Butter-Poached Lobster Tails to be wanting. The steak was barely medium rare, as ordered. And no desired Drawn Butter was brought for the lobster. So I used some of Diane's. Desserts of Warm Apple Tarte with Miso Butterscotch and Toasted Almond Honey Gelato for me, and rich Coconut Cream Pie for one of my guests, were quite tasty. But we were not visited much by our waiter. And when he showed up with wet towels between courses, they were already cold. Stopped in town celebrate a birthday and the experience was great! Our sever Jacob was awesome. So personable, attentive and friendly. He made good recommendations and made sure we were taken care of. To start we had the oysters and shrimp cocktail accompanied by the Doli. Seafood fresh and the doli is a staple for a reason. I decided to celebrate my birthday here again this year since I had a fantastic experience last year, but the service this time was quite disappointing! I called to make a reservation which went smoothly, they were friendly and booked it right away. When we arrived we were seated within a couple of minutes. The food was just as tasty as last time. We ordered seared tenderloin, porcini ribeye steak and lobster and crab cake and everything was delicious. However, the service didn't impress. We had to look around and wait to find our server every time we needed something. Last year, our server checked on us multiple times and truly made me felt like I picked the perfect place to celebrate my birthday. This year was definitely not the same experience. They also didn't bother cleaning the table or removing extra plates. After we finished the appetizer bread and the main courses were brought out, we literally had to move the dirty appetizer plates ourselves just so they could place the entrées, and they still didn't take them away!! We saw signs within the mall pointing in the direction of the Capital Grille, but had some trouble locating the entrance (FYI: It's outside of the mall on the second floor). We did not have a reservation and it was a Friday night but they didn't seem too busy and they were able to find us a nice table with a view of the strip! This is a nice steakhouse so I wish we would have dressed up a bit more (perhaps, next time!). First and foremost, the service was so so so AMAZING here! I am blanking on the server's name but I wish I could give him a shoutout. He was very patient with explaining the menu, personable, and attentive (refilling our bread basket/water without being asked). They start off with a bread basket which was just divine. And, after much discussion, we ordered the ribeye, au gratin potatoes, wild mushrooms, and creme brulee for dessert. Everything was just so well cooked and made perfectly the way we liked it. We will 100% be back. They were also kind enough to pack our leftovers which we had a lot of since I tend to over-order. I love to come to the bar and get a fabulous cocktail made perfectly, from their signature Stoli Doli Martini (a staple since the 90's) to a delicious Old Fashioned. I always get the burger, and it's delicious. Seeded bun, caramelized onions and Guyer cheese! Pro tip, you can get some great garlic mashed potatoes as a substitute for the fries. Obviously, the steaks and such here are incredible, I just love to do the burger thing here. Go check it out! read more

I asked for some agave to sweeten it and that worked. The Caesar bites were very good. I also experienced the bar/lounge only Wagyu & Wine pairing, which is very delicious! For $35, you get amazing burger and very good glass of a red of your choice from 3 pairings. This limited time special may come back at any time. I enjoyed a dinner with friends here on a weeknight . The restaurant has an upscale vibe while remaining somewhat casual, which makes sense for the location. The Strip view is great, and we were lucky enough to get a table by a window. Our waiter was helpful and we received good service overall. I found the food prices to be relatively moderate for the experience, and cocktails were also priced as one would expect at a fine dining restaurant on the Strip. My espresso martini was good but I wasn't blown away like I hoped to be! My entree, seared tuna, was pretty amazing! Definitely one of the best I've had. My dining companions also enjoyed their meals, and we had coffee after our meal to enjoy the view a little longer. Our experience was phenomenal. We came in on the 23rd for our 8 year anniversary, and safe to say we were not disappointed. We were treated with a handwritten card congratulating us, experienced wonderful service by our waiter, and got a exceptional seat by the window that overlooks Las Vegas Boulevard and the line of casinos that it has to offer. The food was outstanding, incredible presentation, range of food, and honest feedback from our server on what to get. Me and my boyfriend both got the rib-eye with the 15 age balsamic dressing. Amazing experience for a holiday banquet in the private dining room! David and Daniela were our servers and they were engaging, efficient, and always made sure we had what we needed. Came here on Valentine's Day. Made reservation weeks ahead of time and everything went absolutely terrible. First - reservation was for 7pm. Showed up on time and had to wait 35 minutes to be seated along with many other people in the same predicament. I would gladly sit at the bar and wait but that was not an option due to many other people waiting! Finally got seated and our server was MIA most of the time. It was so bad that party of 4 next to us got up and left. We were getting nervous. Finally server took our drink and appetizer orders and brought us what we asked for. However it seems that white wine and red wine are served in same glasses???!!!! Strange. We ordered fish as a main dish and that took 40 minutes to arrive. Fish was served with steak knives but they forgot our sides. Happy we got food - we dived in only to discover that it was the worst meal you can get. I had salmon she had Chilean Sea Bass. Both tasted like sole of an old shoe, likely as it was either pre made and heated multiple times, or just made out of plastic! It was awful. At this point I filed a complaint with manager Randy who apologized and took care of the dinner. Still we were left hungry and disappointed. I tipped the waiter as I didn't expect to have free dinner and to be cordial as well. We left for a neighborhood Italian restaurant that got us superb service and food. Looking back - as the first time customer I didn't know that Capital Grille parent company owns The Olive Garden which explains perhaps our experience. We made a reservation at Capital Grille to start off our Anniversary celebration! It was absolutely wonderful. Excellent service and we received such a warm welcome from the staff. You cannot go wrong here, we had a couple of beautifully curated & delicious cocktails and a couple of perfectly cooked steaks and a side! Everything was Top tier. Everything was savored and devoured haha! We came in around 2pm so it was very casual and the ambiance was low key. I can def see myself coming back for a romantic date again or a girls night. The Capital Grille never ceases to amaze me. I don't know how a franchise steak house can be so damn good. I've been to the Denver location twice and the Vegas location twice. They have always been consistently good. At the Vegas location, I tried their $18 special ( between 3-6pm ) dry aged new york cut, tender and excellent. They also have something called a Doly which I tried for the first time. Pineapple slices marinated in vodka, very refreshing. You'll never be disappointed at Capital Grille. read more
