Tried to call to make a order over the phone spoke to someone named "Audi" who states they are unable to take online orders over the phone unless we pay for it in full at the time of order. First time at the Catch in Atascocita. So disappointed! Crawfish was horrible. Tasted like eating mud and it was so grainy from not being cleaned. Also ordered red beans and rice for my son and i couldn't take the chance of letting him eat it because it was sour! I've eaten at the Catch dozens of times and the food has always been pretty good, if it wasn't I wouldn't go back. We had dinner there tonight and I had a order of Boiled Blue Crabs. This meal really changed my opinion of the restaurant! The crabs were most likely cooked and then frozen, the internal temperature of the crabs was cold, very cold. The crabs I opened had virtually no meat, none! I've eaten thousands of boiled crabs and never seen crabs with no meat, even the claws. After trying to find meat or meat that was at least warm I gave up, never had as much as a nimble of food. I'm now eating in another restaurant near by. If they can't properly prepare blue crabs they should remove them from the menu. read more

I gave 4 stars because everything else tasted very good. We got our food timely. My complaint was that I had ordered a crispy chicken salad, and included everything on it. When I got it home, my salad was chicken, lettuce and tomato. That's it. And I think it would of been a great salad had it had the rest of it on there! They also forgot the dressing. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN ATASCOCITA - DO NOT COME Let me start by saying that I am NOT the type to write a review (good or bad). However, this is a special case in which I am certainly willing to go out of my way because I don't want anyone to waste their time here. I used to love The Catch. When it first opened, under their previous owners and managers, The Catch was awesome. Unfortunately, ever since new owners took over in August, everything has gone down hill. THE SERVICE HERE IS TERRIBLE. There is about a 95% chance they screw up your order. Whether its charging you extra, bringing you the wrong food items, cooking your food incorrectly, or forgetting to bring out your food items as a whole. All of which have happened to me in the 3-5 times that I have been here since the new owners took over. I tend to give second chances when it comes to restaurant, but today was the last straw. After making several mistakes with multiple orders, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, and great deals of rudeness and attitude issues, I have decided to not come back. Today the manager came out to try and "fix" the issues, and she literally made everything much worse. I have never experienced such a rude and disrespectful manager of a restaurant here in the Atascocita area. She was awful. Today, we literally made new friends with another family, sitting at another table, because we were having a conversation and sharing stories about how miserable our experience was today. We literally made a new friend pact to never come here again. I will say this, the food, when you actually get it, if they cooked it correctly, if they brought the correct quantity and size, and if it was priced correctly, then, and only then is it pretty good. This place is a lot smaller than I thought it would be but the atmosphere is great!! The employees are super nice which is a big plus!! We had mozzarella sticks and fried pickles for our appetizer and I was impressed!! They were seasoned perfectly and had the perfect crispy bite. I ate the fried catfish. It was so delicious!! I have never eaten at a restaurant which such perfectly seasoned fish!! My family ate the chicken tenders. The tenders were crispy in the outside, moist and juicy on the outside, but they were a little bit bland. The honey mustard they give you kind of makes up for the lack of seasoning. They have free beer and margaritas!! The margaritas don't pack any punch at all but they have a nice flavor and they how can anyone complain when it's free?! Lol! Last year this was our new favorite place. We couldn't wait for crawfish season to roll around again. Boy were we disappointed! Last year, the owners were here every time we came in and the food and service were great. We came in on Saturday March 10th to celebrate a birthday. The girl a the register gave us incorrect information about the crawfish flavor options and so we didn't get the flavor we were looking for from last year. There were four separate orders placed by the parties with our group, out of the 4, 3 orders were incorrect in some way. It isn't hard to find tasty crawfish, but getting consistently good crawfish is difficult. Apparently the Catch hasn't quite nailed that down. We will stick with Zydeclaws, at least their recipe is the same year after year and so if you like the flavor as we do, you know what you are spending your money on! read more

First time here and we all loved the food and the staff. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and asked if it was our first time. They directed us to a Panera style of ordering. Big menu above the registers, order, pay, get a number and find a table. Downside to that is if you want anything else you have to go back in line. We were craving some peel and eat shrimp and gumbo and they did not disappoint. They have a nice selection of choices as well. I had the shrimp with a garlic butter sauce at a medium spice and my other friend had the shrimp with a Cajun seasoning and hot. He enjoys that fire hot flavor and he said that was perfect! Mine had a nice kick to it as well and they were also pretty decent sized. My gumbo was a little rich but definitely not bad. One downfall was no wet wipes! The Catch--PLEASE go back the the ones you had been using. Had fried green tomatoes. They were dripping in grease and had absolutely no taste whatsoever. My husband had whitefish, catfish and fries. He said the shrimp were ok but cold. The whitefish and fries were soggy and cold. It was so bad he couldn't eat anything except his shrimp. My husband had also ordered tea but there wasn't any tea made. He asked three different people and they didn't make tea until we were almost finished with our dinner. I had the red beans and rice. It wasn't bad but not great. At least I was able to eat my food. There was a wet spot on the floor in the walkway. My husband slipped but luckily didn't fall. He told two different people about it, thinking they would clean it up. They didn't. We sat there and watched so many people lose traction but luckily no one fell. My husband told someone again and the kid put a yellow wet floor sign on floor. So my fiancé and I used to go to this little seafood spot about once a week and then they changed owners and their menu obviously. We went back today just to see if things have gotten any better and OMG!! It's gotten worse. First, the guy taking our order didn't listen to what we were ordering, because we clearly didn't get what we asked for. Then we get our appetizer (fried pickles) and I'm thinking ok that looks right no worries. Then our main course comes out. We ordered the half pound of crab half pound of shrimp with sausage corn and potatoes. So let's break this down. It comes out in a bag, we get one plate one set of silverware and then we Have to dump the bag since there's really no other way to get the stuff out. Once we dumped it we get to see what's inside and I am floored that they served uncleaned shrimp, they didn't even take off the legs. One of the most disgusting looking things was having everything swimming in about two cups of oil and what looked like the dredged seasoning from the bottom of the pot, everything was over cooked and rubbery. The photo is a cleaned up version after we had had enough and decided to leave. Will we be back?... not likely. Will we recommend?... Nope!!! Ordered 2lbs of crab legs that come with potatoes and corn. Ordered to go because I know the place is gonna be crazy. When I looked inside the to go box. I didn't see any corn or any potatoes. So I asked if there were any potatoes or corn. We looked and found 1 little niblet ear of corn and two little potatoes. I was like really, 2lbs $34 and I only get 1 ear and two little potatoes. And was like well that all we give you. Thankfully another personnel heard me and told them to go and give me another set of corn and potatoes. I ordered the mildly hot seasoned ones (whatever that means) cause she told me that's how they come mild Med or hot. But when I get there I see a sign that has all these different flavors for the boiled crab, crawfish or shrimp so I was kinda disappointed because I would have gotten a different flavor. Sadly my experience here wasn't good. I really thought I had found the perfect place because of the prices. We spent $157 for 4 ppl which was ok with us. We got 4 lbs of crawfish with the garlic butter. The sauce was good but unless I dragged the crawfish in the sauce the tails had no flavor. I've had them at LA Crawfish and the tail itself had flavor. Here it didn't. My kids got the gator and it was as they said "crispy but bland" nothing special. My husband got the fish tacos and the fish was hot BUT the tortilla was cold. He also said the fish was bland. We also go 1 1/2 lbs of their crab legs and a pound was about 8 small legs. I have honestly had bigger crab legs. About the only thing that my husband liked was the gumbo. My husband said you can tell it was simmered for a long time and the flavors were really good. We had to go back to the cashier several times because we ordered corn, sausage & potatoes but they kept forgetting to bring it to us. It really wasn't that busy so not sure what was going on with that. Also they advertise the free liquor on their page but the cashier never really mentioned it so I forgot they had this special. I really had high expectations for this place... I guess I'll just have to eat at overpriced LA Crawfish until I find a better place. Hope the rest of you have better luck. So I tried this place yesterday since it was near my friend I was visiting. There were some up and downs but overall good. The food there tasted fresh especially the seafood. However, the one bad thing is one word, expensive. I've eaten seafood and they aren't that high sometimes. I feel like this place is real chill and can attract more peeps if only they just reduce their prices a little more. But if you guys like good food they definitely do serve that. read more
