A great place to order fried seafood. When you first come in you go to the register and place your order. They give you a number and then find an table. There's a few options of fried and pan cooked seafood, po boy sandwiches, and gumbo. We were a large party and there was accommodation to fit 10 people and kids. There's paper towel rolls on the table and a condiment table. The food arrives fairly quickly but we were there during a not busy time. We definitely return if we're in the area.

BYOB!! This place is now BYOB. You can bring in your alcohol and the restaurant provides the set up. Order at the counter then find a seat. Staff is great about offering suggestions/recommendations. Restaurant is always clean. Your food is brought out to your table. The flavors on the boiled seafood is some of the best I've found. I have visited several times and the flavor is consistent. Very well coated and flavorful. You can also choose your spice level. Stop in if you're looking for good boiled seafood without a lot of fuss.

I'm sorry but the food wasn't good at all. Everything tasted like it was still frozen must've use old seafood and the season was bland. It was my first and last time at this restaurant and it wasn't worth the price a waste of money indeed.

Cabbage was good--greens very spicy! Gave to my sister who rated 9 out of 10 would recommend. Cornbread was like hard day old bread and went into the trash! Bbq platter: BIL loved his plate! Said potato salad was meh but all else good! Hotlinks, ribs, and beans! Sister got fried chicken and added mac&cheese along with yams! Chicken was fresh but not seasoned much! Mac&cheese good for diner menu option, and yams were okay she said! Greasy spoon Mac is better IMO but Granny's oxtails the best I've had here in H-town! Although spicy/hot food is not my favorite I did enjoy them If the cornbread were softer & sweeter I think the rating would be 4! Would I go back? Hmm! Yea for the tails of course! I saw they have catfish & black eyed peas so I may try those next time as well! Overall 3.5 but can't do half stars By default I left it at 4

Let me start by saying there is PLENTY of parking as it in a shopping plaza at the end. So when I arrived I came a sat at the bar and was greeted by the bartender. There was a waitress and she stated I should order a Frozen Pineapple Margarita. It was sweet so probably wouldn't order it again. What I thought was good was there was a lot of wait staff around and the menu was HUGE. It appears what every day they have a food special around $11-12. There was a good amount of people in the spot as the ambiance looks like a typical sports bar. Currently it's hot but there is a patio outside that I plan to take advantage of later in the fall. I sat at the bar and order a six piece battered wing which was around $8-9. The flavors were barbecue and lemon pepper. I enjoyed the barbecue flavor as the sauce had a little kick but was good. Now I didn't like the lemon pepper. I think they fried the wing dings and sprinkled ALOT of lemon pepper. It was so salty I couldn't even eat it. I tried dusting it off but it was too much. Wouldn't recommend. Overall all I would be back maybe to get more of a bar experience as I think this spot has potential to be at least a 4 or 5. If you're in the area I'd definitely stop in.

They have fantastic wings and an IPA that resonates to all IPA drinkers, I can say, I have drunk many different ones to count (lived in SOCAL for some time) and attended many BeerFests. They have more than 30+ televisions and show mostly sports and some other programs. They also feature a jukebox, darts, a cigarette vending machine, video golf, and other digital bar games that require a tablet to play. Our group seemed to get a lot of looks from other customers, and at times it felt like we didn't really fit the typical crowd there. At one point a table nearby started loudly saying political phrases and making hand gestures, which made the environment feel uncomfortable. Another table even pointed toward our group and showed something on their phone to each other, which added to the awkward feeling. The restaurant itself was also very crowded with limited space between tables. At one point a child from another table kept bumping into me due to how tight everything was. Unfortunately the food didn't make up for the experience either. I ordered a burger that ended up being extremely greasy and lacking flavor to the point that I couldn't finish it. Overall it just wasn't a pleasant dining experience, and I personally wouldn't return.

RESTAURANT REVIEW: 3 Seventeen Happy Hour Friday…read more Let me start by saying this: the food is absolutely delicious. That's the reason this review still earns 4 stars despite some very noticeable issues that management should address. First things first, 3 Seventeen needs to advertise that they have TWO Happy Hour menus. We specifically called beforehand to ask about Happy Hour offerings, and at no point were we informed that reservations are practically required. As potential new and returning customers, that information would have been extremely helpful. When we arrived, every table was reserved. Every. Single. One. We ended up sitting separately at the bar until a very kind hostess noticed the situation and was able to move us to a table together off to the side of the bar area. Shoutout to her because she saved the experience before it even started. The Drinks After ordering our food and cocktails, our margaritas arrived. I looked down and immediately thought someone had brought me a cup of lemonade. Why? Because the margarita was served in a plastic cup. Naturally, I asked why. I was told that after a certain time, all drinks are served in plastic cups because customers frequently break the glassware. Now I understand wanting to protect inventory, but here's the problem: 3 Seventeen is a beautiful venue. The décor and aesthetics create an upscale vibe, yet the drink presentation completely works against that image. A handcrafted margarita loses some of its magic when served in the same cup used at a family barbecue. Adding to that, I noticed the shelves behind the bar were completely bare of glassware. Then there was another issue that management should seriously consider addressing. The walkway from the bar toward the rear of the building exposes the area where hookahs are assembled and supplies are stored in plastic bins. From a customer's view, it looked cluttered and somewhat unsanitary. A decorative partition or curtain would make a huge difference. Presentation matters, and once customers start questioning what they're seeing, they start questioning other things too. Honestly, it almost made me lose my appetite. The Food Thankfully, the food arrived... and that's when things got MUCH better. Spinach Dip & Homemade Chips Creamy, flavorful, and paired with fresh homemade chips. Every bite was warm, cheesy, and satisfying. Spinach Dip with Shrimp This version takes things to another level. The juicy shrimp on top added extra flavor and made an already good appetizer even better. Fried Shrimp The shrimp were HUGE. Well... most of them. One shrimp looked like the little cousin trying to sneak into the family photo. I wasn't sure if they ran out of the jumbo shrimp or if one simply wandered into the wrong basket, but it definitely stood out. Loaded Fries The loaded fries are made with steak fries. If you're not a fan of thick-cut fries, keep that in mind before ordering. They were loaded and filling, but definitely potato-forward. Catfish Nuggets Now let me give everyone a pro tip: Order the catfish nuggets and dip them in the Hot Honey Sauce. Trust me. That combination is a COMPLETE game changer. The sweet heat from the sauce mixed with the crispy catfish created one of the best bites of the entire evening. The Birthday Celebrations Now... let's discuss the elephant in the room. The birthday celebrations need a complete overhaul. At one point, there were FIVE birthdays happening at the same time. The staff, who were already stretched thin, were literally running from table to table singing "Happy Birthday" and delivering bottles of champagne. ‍‍ It looked chaotic. Customers were confused. Employees looked exhausted. The entire process felt disorganized and distracting. To be completely honest, it was one of the most ridiculous and chaotic birthday processes I've seen at a restaurant. The staff did their best, but the system simply isn't working. Final Thoughts What makes this review difficult is that the employees were genuinely wonderful. Everyone was friendly. Everyone was trying. Everyone appeared to care. The real issue isn't the staff. The issue is that the operational systems have not caught up with the vision of the establishment. The owner has clearly invested a lot into making 3 Seventeen visually beautiful. The space is gorgeous. However, the service flow, staffing levels, reservation communication, drink presentation, birthday procedures, and overall customer experience need attention. The good news? These are fixable problems. Because the hardest thing to fix is usually the food... and fortunately, the food is fantastic. With stronger management processes, better staffing support, improved presentation, and a few operational adjustments, 3 Seventeen has the potential
