Food was good. My husband and I split the signature seafood boil, that had crab legs, Gulf shrimp, mussels, Conecuh sausage, corn on the cob, and red potatoes. It was all tossed in a house-made garlic butter sauce, that is different from anywhere else you'll find in the area. I was a bit disappointed in the size of crab legs, scrawny compared to the picture advertised on The Catch website. We struggled getting any meat from them. It was a good amount of food, and we left pleasantly full. Our daughter got the fish platter that was served with yummy coleslaw, fried okra, and fries. The snapper was so delicious, that I want to order it next time. I also tried the tartar sauce, and it may have been the best I've ever tasted. No matter what I get next time, I will be eating it with the tartar sauce. Service was good, friendly staff. I didn't care for the ambiance. It was plain, chilly, and had hard metal chairs that were not comfortable. They sat us at a high top table, and this middle-aged lady needs a table and chairs that are more accommodating. They did give patrons access to plenty of napkins at each table, which was convenient bc my hands got messy w the chosen meal. Overall, we had a nice dining experience. We were sat in two places to accommodate the party which was nice. 1/2 of our group was asked to leave their table after they were done eating so the restaurant could seat more people. Our other table hadn't even received the food yet. Unsure why paying customers were rushed off their table when the group wasn't ready to leave. The wait time was only about 45 minutes for our party of 11! Our waitress did a really good job even though it was busy! The ambiance of the place was Tshirts and shorts. Very beachy We were seated at an open air table where you could watch the boats go by in the little canal! We started with appetizers of firecracker shrimp and coconut shrimp and both were amazing! For the entrees we had fried grouper, Creole Snapper Delight, Bayou Crawfish Pasta, Fried Seafood Combo Platter, Island Glazed Chicken and Grand Gulf Seafood Boil. Service was excellent but the food was average. The crawfish pasta tasted like Rotel tomatoes. The crab cakes were pretty good but the sauce with it was like the pasta sauce. We didn't enjoy it all that much. But again, great service. Also, great views of the ocean. read more

The wait was insane for dinner. There were ample tables waiting to be bused for an hour. There were a few servers walking around like crazy. Hostess stand had 4-5 ladies. The food was okay. Don't bother with the boils, the crabs are too soft to really crack so it's just a hassle. Corn was ice cold somehow? was it even boiled? Not worth the money and I'd say the view sitting outside makes it better, but the flies are pretty persistant. So if you go, which I wouldn't recommend, don't sit outside. The waitress was good at keeping our drinks filled and all. We did let her know the corn was ice cold and she brought us some that was hot. They also don't have any beers on tap, only cans + They cannot serve in any glass cups due to being so close to the beach. Restrooms were clean and the water I was served tasted fine. read more

Ordered poutine fries that were little more than fries with a tad of cheese on them. Then our entrees came out at two separate times and then still forgot one. This place was pretty tasty but I recommend going for lunch/before dinner if you don't want a long wait. It is right off the beach so the wait is understandable. We went in for lunch and were seated at a high top in the bar area. I would have preferred a seat inside with a better view but it is what it is. The fried pickles were good but they are the ling strips which I don't prefer. Ranch was top tier though. Got the coconut mojito and it was pretty tasty. I ordered the lobster and whatever sauce was on there was sublime. Very delicious and the lobster was cooked perfectly. My friends got the fried shrimp basket and the seafood pasta. A couple with a dog was seated after us and the waitress totally ignored us and went took their drink order and spent time playing with the dog. After she returned with their drinks we were still ignored. My husband went to the host and asked if we could be moved to an area where we will get served. The host proceeded to say I'll move you if that's what you want. We said we wanted to sit outside with the view but will move to get served. The host said you don't have to be rude about it. I've never been to a seafood "boil" restaurant that didn't have at least one roll of paper towels on the table. Just a few flimsy paper napkins. And the snow crab legs were so overcooked the meat was stuck to the inside of the shell and would not come off. Also, no actual useful boil utensils were provided other than a shell cracker. The music was SO loud I had to yell at our waitress to be heard. We asked for to-go boxes within 5 minutes of receiving our food and left. It was all very overstimulating. The only positives were, we were sat at a table fairly quickly, and the food came out quickly. But it's nothing to rave about certainly, and not worth the prices. read more
