A special thank you to Heidi S, who was both our server and the sommelier while the restaurant was understaffed. She was attentive, knowledgeable, engaging, and made the entire evening feel effortless. She even rescued us from the stack of menus (specials, cocktails, wine, etc.)--a bit much for 2026, when a simpler approach would make the experience even better. Great food, exceptional service, and a memorable evening. We look forward to coming back.

We had an absolutely terrible experience at this restaurant and would not recommend it to anyone…read more We chose this restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday, expecting a memorable evening. Instead, it was one disappointment after another from the moment we sat down until we finally walked out. The problems started immediately. We sent a drink back, and while the complimentary rolls looked beautiful, they were undercooked in the center. My Caesar salad then arrived without any dressing, requiring me to flag down our server. At that point, I couldn't help but wonder what was happening in the kitchen. The Lyonnaise potatoes were some of the worst I've ever been served. Rather than the classic preparation, they were simply halved potatoes that appeared to have been deep-fried with a few onions, covered in an unappetizing sauce, and even contained a couple of burnt French fries mixed in. This is not what anyone expects from a restaurant that markets itself as fine dining. My Chilean sea bass was so charred and oversalted that I had to send it back. My husband's entrée was equally disappointing--it arrived cold and was completely underwhelming. Our server, Jen, was pleasant, but the service itself was lacking. On two separate occasions I had to ask a hostess walking by to send our server to our table because we couldn't get anyone's attention. The manager, Luigi, was courteous and apologetic. He offered us a gift card, which I declined. While I appreciated his professionalism, a gift card is meaningless when the food and overall experience were so poor that I have no desire to return. To end the evening, we were brought a complimentary Baked Alaska. Unfortunately, even that was inedible. The ice cream had obvious freezer burn and a crunchy texture, as though it had thawed and been refrozen. We each took one bite and left. For a restaurant located in the heart of affluent downtown Naples, the overall quality was astonishingly poor. Every aspect of our meal--from the kitchen execution to the pacing and service--fell far below the standards of a high-end restaurant. This birthday dinner was supposed to be a special celebration, but it turned into one of the most disappointing dining experiences we've ever had. We would have been far better off spending our money at Ocean Prime, flemings, capital Grille, or Eddie V's,all of which have consistently delivered exceptional food and service. Save your money and dine at other much better establishments

It is without question a must do, when you're here. My family and I have been coming here for many years, and it only has gotten better each time. This location has two floors of seating, more importantly two bars you can sit at. After checking in with the hostess, our wait was only about twenty minutes. Once seated at our table all of us were ready to order. For drinks we ordered two rounds I got the Dark and Stormy for both rounds(Gosling's Black Seal Rum mixed with Gosling's Ginger Beer & a squeeze of lime) my ordered a mango and coconut mojito; my sister in law ordered a rum runner. We all loved our drinks. Drinks here are always made perfect. For an appetizer we shared the calamari. The breading was light and the calamari was tender. For entrees my sister in law and I ordered the Deep Water Mahi Mahi(Hand-cut mahi-mahi seared in sweet soy sauce, placed on a jasmine rice stir fry with a tropical vinaigrette) This dish is my favorite meal here. The mahi was tender, the sweet soy sauce and the tropical vinaigrette ties everything together. My wife ordered the Yucatan Shrimp with a side of jalapeño cheese grits. She gave me two thumbs up. My father in law Grouper Sandwich (Fresh grouper grilled, blackened, or fried. Served with Doc's tartar sauce on a freshly baked roll) He ordered his fried. He loves the grouper sandwich here and usually gets it. Again, this is another place we will always comeback to.

MARK was very professional, personable, brought everything over in a timely manner, helpful with the menu choices and a great sense of humor. He's a great asset to the restaurant. Once again, thanks Mark! Great talking with you as well...... Doc Ford's is always great over the many years and comfortable sitting outside on the patio. We all enjoyed everything we had. Will be more descriptive later but wanted to get this review on time as I promised it to be.

We ate in the main dining room and Brandon was our server. He is just so good at his job. He came around just when we needed something. He has the sort of aura or vibes or whatever you want to call it, that really made for an exceptional experience. He truly wanted us to enjoy our meals. The hostess said she was seating us with someone good and I could not agree more!! So, I was going to order a little differently going in to Shula's. But then I saw their promotion and I was already ordering filet mignon. Why not get all this other stuff with it? The bread was good. The filet mignon, of course, was the star of the show. This is truly the best filet mignon I have ever had. I remember going to Shula's when they were in Miami Lakes and loved it too. Mashed potatoes are okay. I probably should have upgraded to the au gratin potatoes. The French onion was good but not the best. The raspberry cheesecake was pretty good. We went back the next day for lunch and had a different server. She had a different kind of personality I did not appreciate. Beyond that, the burgers were okay. I was going to order a steak salad but figured a burger and fry would be better. Some fries were undercooked but I was getting full anyway. Their burgers are huge!! I appreciate how the manager remembered us from the night before and even said hello to me when I was sitting in the lobby of the hotel where I was staying. He is really nice. I highly suggest the filet mignon. If you like this cut of meat, it is phenomenal.

The calamari was ok. The flavor of the sliders and the bacon dish were very good. However, the portion sizes of all three dishes were disappointingly small (about 1/2 the size that we would expect from a usual happy hour dish). Service was great; ambiance was great. Well trained employees. We did not try the drinks, but the drink prices seemed reasonable.
