When I found out a new Spanish Restaurant with the name Punto Iberico open in Downtown Fort Myers by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, I was excited because 'Punto Iberico' in Spanish refer to the idea cooking of high quality Iberico pork so it can retain its juiciness and tenderness. We stop by Punto Iberico to try out their cuisine. While sipping Sangria, we ordered the Secreto Iberico (grilled Iberico pork - rib cut) and a Costillas Ibericas (ribs) with Pa Amb Tomaquet (Tomato Bread). The Secreto Iberico is very savory and tender. The Costillas Ibericas (ribs) tender and meats falling off the bone. The onion and peppers added extra flavor. We shared the two dishes and they were simply amazing. The Pa Amb Tomaquet or Catalan tomato bread were fresh and delicious. Garlic dip added extra flavor to the warm bread. At our next tables, two couples were chowing down the paellas with a bottle of Spanish wine which I did not remember the name. We love the atmosphere here. It is clean and the waiting staff is super friendly. Pablo led us and answered many questions fresh cuts like Presa (over-shoulder), Secreto (Behind the shoulder/rib) and Pluma (lowere loin). Wife does not drink wine. I simply consumed a well make Sangria Copa. Need to have a few friends here to sample other dishes and their wine. Authentic cuisine from Spain! I am a fan of Spanish culture and food, and this is the best Spanish restaurant on this side of the Atlantic. The amazing tapas brought me right back to my days in Madrid, Salamanca, and Sevilla. I met the owner Alex who was a chef for many years in Valencia and wanted to bring the exact same gastronomical experience to the US, and he did just that. The jamón ibérico was exactly what you would taste in a fine establishment in Spain. Our server Marla welcomed us and treated us like family. Punto Iberico is hands down one of the best dining experiences we've had in Fort Myers. This family owned restaurant is operated by a wonderful Cuban family who spent over 20 years living in Spain and successfully running two restaurants there before bringing their passion and authentic cuisine here to Southwest Florida -- and it truly shows in every detail. The menu is varied and full of incredible Spanish dishes with a unique touch of Cuban flair. Every tapa we tried was absolutely amazing, and the desserts were just as impressive. They also offer a full bar, excellent Spanish beers and wines, and delicious homemade sangria. What really makes this place special is the level of care and hospitality. The owners are constantly walking around making sure everything is perfect, personally cooking and managing the restaurant themselves. They've also hired an outstanding staff. Our server, Marla, was phenomenal, attentive, knowledgeable about the entire menu, friendly, and absolutely deserving of 5 stars herself. The restaurant is not huge, but it's spacious enough to feel comfortable without ever feeling overcrowded. Everything is spotless, elegant, and has a warm, inviting ambiance. A couple tips: reservations are highly recommended on weekends, and if you plan to order paella, call ahead because everything is made fresh to order and paellas do take time, which is absolutely worth the wait. We will definitely be back and can already say Punto Iberico has become one of our favorite restaurants in Fort Myers. Highly recommended! Awesome unexpected culinary experience in Fort Myers that one might otherwise associate with Miami or even Spain. This restaurant opened quietly in early 2026 downtown and now requires reservations during the weekends due to overwhelming repeat customer acceptance and support. 5 Stars does not fully recognize what should rate a higher number of well deserved accolades for food, service and ambiance. This was an amazing dinner! We were a party of three. We got seated as soon as we walked in. The server was a 26 yr old beautiful woman with a beautiful personality! She was always on what and when we needed help! I give her a 100% rating ! So happy we had her ! The food , well it was tempting and soooo tasty ! Ever dish was made to perfection! The flavors were amazing! The sauce was perfect! The calamari was so crispy and tender that e were in heaven , we had croquets that were so good we order a double order ! Ham and cheese was my favorite! But we had both types ! Wow just wow how everything was tender and sooo amazingly delicious! I will definitely go back and try this again! Soon !
