After having brunch at a nearby location, my friends and I decided to explore the area and discover new bars. That's when we stumbled upon Savoy Tivoli. As soon as we entered, we were greeted with warm smiles, which I always take as a sign of excellent service--and it truly was! My group ordered three espresso martinis, and I can confidently say the martini I had was a solid 5/5. The ambiance of the place has a tiki vibe, with palm trees and dim lighting, making it perfect for a date night. The bar tender suggested we go to the back of the bar where we found a free pool table and a Bluetooth speaker for our use, which is a rarity in San Francisco. Overall, I was very impressed with the experience and will definitely be coming back!

Music was amazing 6/14/25. Love the country band. They played a lot of variety and it was a good time dancing. Sushi was 10/10!!! Chef Wilder is awesome! The 49ers roll was one of the best rolls I've had in SF!

Walking down the street from Grant and Green, the Yellow and Red banner is a welcome sight, while strolling the area.

Savoy Trivoli 1434 Grant Ave, SF No cover, live music, good food, pool tables, multiple dining areas in back area away from the bar area. Near Grant and Green. If after work get together, cool place to hang out, different sections for dining away from initimate stage / dance floor as well as individual seating or 3 chairs / table recessed in back from traditional island bar setup.

We visited the newly renovated Savoy Tivoli on New Year's Eve for a comedy show, and enjoyed the high-spirited and easygoing atmosphere. It appears to be two separate rooms/venues, each with their own bar and style, and separate entrances (which can be a bit confusing). But inside they are attached through a doorway, with restrooms only on one side, which looks more like a nightclub scene with a lounge area (they were playing hip hop music this past Saturday), whereas the room that held the comedy show has a stage, some tables and seating, and a bar at the center, a decent event space. The architecture and decor throughout is beautiful, quirky artwork, arches along the walls, art deco lamps hanging from ceilings, palm trees and sculptures adding a nice touch to the overall setting, and of course dim and colorful lighting to set the mood. We enjoyed the comedy show as one of our stops for the night, and the drinks were decent (apparently they have an updated cocktail menu). The place was clean and looked brand new, even though I know it's really 117 years old (as of the start of 2023). All of the staff were friendly and eager to help while we were there. Only downside to our experience was the wait for drinks. It wasn't horrible, and we could see the bartenders hustling to serve patrons, but there was just 1-2 of them per bar (on New Year's Eve!), and even though it wasn't super crowded for the night (yet), service was just slow compared to what I'm used to at other bars/events.

Drinks were pretty good! There was some salsa dancing event going on! Seemed pretty fun! Service is great, bar tender made really good mocktails for us.

This is a great place for a drink with amazing vibes. Drinks here were about $13-15 for a cocktail. Went with some of my girlfriends for a drink on a rainy Friday night and the place was pretty empty. The bartender was really nice and got us our drinks quickly. My friend really liked her expresso martini. The music here was great and we asked them if we could dance a little on stage and queue up some songs, they were very friendly and accommodating and it was nice to be the only ones in the bar as it got to closing time. The place has a room with a stage and another room with an additional bar and seating, there is also a pool table in the back. Overall a happy experience and a fun night!

This bar has an amazing vibe--perfect for a night out! The drinks are top-notch, and the live music adds to the lively atmosphere. Be sure to ask for Lanzo; he makes an excellent Old Fashioned and will take great care of you for the night!! 10/10

Great place for a quick drink and live music. I had the espresso martini which was delicious and not overly strong. Listened to a jazz band which was really good.

    Jazz band just left

Friendly, good cocktail menu, live music sometimes. Live Jazz third Sundays 4-7. Friendly bartenders. Cool vibe

We went to Savoy Trivoli for the LaughGPT show. SHOW: The show was a solid B. Nothing spectacular. They are local comics (no one you've heard of), and its fun to see them give it a good effort. But its really not hysterical. Think lots of forced laughs. DRINKS: There's a two drink minimum at the show. We bought the VIP tickets and were right front and center at the stage. The chairs and tables are so packed in this little venue that it was nearly impossible to put in our required drink orders during the show to the pestering waitress standing 8+ feet away in the isle. I think nearly 10 people's viewing of the show was interrupted to hear me order a Manhattan. BATHROOMS: Ample and easy to access. LOCATION: In the heart of North Beach. If you are going to drive, plan on finding a parking space 4+ blocks away.

Amazing fun. The bartender, David is the best!!!! He is so nice and service was fantastic!

WRONG We managed to find a table for the 6 of us, including a disabled member, in the back. The waitress and the gentleman assisting her could not have been nicer!! The drinks and food came quickly and was amazingly delicious ( although reviews said it would be)!!! The gentleman employee was especially attentive to assisting the disabled member of our group, even helping her stand and get around. Could not be happier except for not living closer to frequent Buena Vista more often. STOP. DROP. EAT…read more This place is an absolute gem. Food: We started with the clams and mussels, and they were phenomenal. Do yourself a favor and soak every last bit of that broth up with the bread--you won't regret it. Don also surprised us with complimentary scallops, and wow... next-level fresh. Some of the best seafood I've had. Drinks: Hands down the best margaritas I've had in California so far. I also watched Don make a Bloody Mary, and it was like watching someone craft a work of art. Every ingredient was intentional, and you could tell it was made with genuine care. Service: This deserves to be at the top because it's what made the experience unforgettable. Halfway through our meal, I realized my incredible bartender was actually the owner. Don is one of the most humble, genuine, and welcoming people you'll ever meet. His sons and daughter all work in the restaurant, and there's even a photo on the wall of his great-grandfather smoking a cigar while cooking crabs. This isn't just a restaurant--it's generations of family, tradition, and passion served on every plate. You can feel the heart behind this place the moment you walk in. Thank you, Don, for the outstanding hospitality, the amazing conversation, and a meal we'll be talking about for a long time. We'll definitely be back.

I was shocked that it was this poor. I ordered the fried prawns with rice and vegetables. in the past, I recall the rice being different, this time it was some sort of white rice. The vegetables just tasted funny altogether and the fried shrimp was so overcooked. It was like chewing on rubber. My boyfriend had the steak and lobster plate, which was about $70, his steak was extremely fatty. He left most of it on the plate. Also, the lobster was so overcooked it tasted like grill charred rubber. He's a good eater too (meaning he's not picky). We did our best to be polite, we didn't complain, but for as much as our bill was it just did not go well. I really like this place so I hope we just came on a bad day.
