In short, deceptively filling food at reasonable-ish pricing. I took my +1 and "little" to a matinee movie next-door, and we thought we would stop here for lunch ahead of time. The place is easy to get to, in the parking garage is right next to it, so no problem there. Bruxie was open and airy, with indoor and outdoor seating. It was a beautiful, cool and breezy day, so we opted to sit outside. We ordered at the counter, and then the food was brought to us. My. +1 ordered the chicken waffles, which came with two large pieces of chicken, a good sized, waffle, and plenty of syrup. We order a smaller kid-sized portion for our Little. I thought I would try the Super Cluck, which was basically a chicken and waffle sandwich, but it came with bacon, an egg over easy, and melted slices of cheddar cheese. I'm not sure that I would order it again because there were other things on the menu that looked delicious, but I was hungry after a workout and wanted all of the proteins. The sliced cheese melted into the waffle was a little weird, but it was I'll filling. Overall, we all ate our fill (and then some), and the pricing was pretty reasonable for what we got. We didn't even have room for popcorn at the movie afterwards!

My go to is the Original and a dessert. The waffles are always fresh and crispy. Everything I've had on the menu has been solid so far. The workers here are always friendly and attentive, which makes the experience even better. I especially like this downtown Brea location because they have outdoor seating, and it's such a nice spot to sit, eat, and people-watch since it's right on the corner. Also, I appreciate that they have a sink to wash your hands because eating the sandwich can definitely get messy.

Stopped by Bruxie for lunch after not having been here in years and ordered a salad. It was decent for a fried chicken spot, but after eating about 1/3 of it, I found a produce sticker mixed into the salad. I told the waitress, who spoke to her supervisor and offered to remake it, but after already waiting 15 minutes for the salad initially and finding a sticker in the first salad, I declined. Other than a quick apology, there was no offer to comp or refund the salad. Mistakes happen, but the way they're handled matters too. Pretty disappointing experience overall. Kinda gross thinking about how they are handing their produce and cleanliness!

Tried Bruxie for the first time and went with the krckin "Nashville " Hot and honestly, so good. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy, and the sauce added the perfect amount of flavor without being too heavy. Love this location, the staff was super friendly, and the space feels modern and stylish. Such a great vibe overall. Definitely coming back for more. Bruxie 215 W Birch St, Brea, CA 92821

This is not the Bruxie I remember. Used to be a go to spot when in town but the menu has changed. They no longer have the turkey waffle sandwich - no idea how long ago they got rid of that. Looks like the menu consists of more bun type sandwich/ burger vs the waffles they were known for. I had the chicken sandwich which was drenched in their honey sauce. It tasted okay but nothing to brag about. Daughter had the egg waffle which had ONE flattened egg in a waffle. For the price you'd think they at least put two. Also got tots which had way too much paprika. Service was just ok - they weren't particularly helpful when ordering. I did enjoy the outward facing seating outside to people watch.

I stopped by Bruxie in downtown Brea just to get dessert after dinner, so I didn't try their food at this location. I was walking by and the strawberry waffle immediately caught my eye. Honestly, I originally wanted a smoothie, but the cashier informed me they didn't have any, which surprised me. I'm not sure if it's just a late-night thing or if they stop serving them, but that aside, the strawberry waffle was fantastic. It was fresh and just as good as the one I had at another place, super delicious,! though definitely a calorie bomb. If you're watching your intake or on a diet, maybe skip it, since it's pretty rich in sugar and carbs. But I was really satisfied with the quality. everything was fresh, and the staff were great. The vibe inside Bruxie is really nice. they have a great store layout, and even though when I arrived there was no line, most tables were filled, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Overall, a really nice experience.

I ordered the Super Cluck Sandwich, Spiced Tots, and Strawberry Lemonade The Super Cluck Sandwich was AMAZING! I would Highly recommend it, all of the ingredients compliment each other very well. There was just the right amount of maple syrup where it's really just complimenting and not overtaking the flavor. The Waffle was warm, crunchy, and thin, the egg was cooked to perfection, the bacon was not too crunchy and not too soft, and the chicken was breaded nicely and tasted great. I would definitely recommend to order this. The spiced tots are pretty good, they are not overly seasoned, they came out hot and crunchy. Everything you'd expect from some good tots, I would recommend to order these. The Strawberry lemonade was good but overly sweet for me, it leaves a sticky after taste from the amount of sugar, this would be a refreshing drink with less sugar. Definitely make sure to grab some hand wipes (they are provided here at the restaurant) because the sandwich is pretty messy. That's not a deal breaker for me. The ambiance is nice and very casual with good music. The staff is friendly. I'll for sure be back.

Been here multiple times but the last time I went here was 10yrs ago. The menu change a lot they only have chicken waffles. I remember before they used to have pastrami waffle, breakfast waffles with egg and etc. the original chicken waffle is really good. The waffles fries is really good very crispy and you can tell it's freshly cooked. Service was okay. The person was taking our order is not friendly and just stand there. Parking is easy .

I've been coming to Bruxie for years because, in my opinion, they make one of the best chicken and waffles around. Their seasoning is ON POINT, the waffles are incredible, and for a long time I was happy to pay a premium because the quality and portion size matched the price. When I first started coming here, the Chicken & Waffles came with a huge waffle and two full-sized fried chicken breasts for around $15. It felt like a meal that was worth every penny. Then they reduced it to one full-sized chicken breast for about the same price. I wasn't thrilled, but the food was still so good that I kept coming back. About 3 years ago, they changed it AGAIN to two chicken tenders for an even higher price. The tenders were noticeably smaller than the chicken breast they replaced, but I still came back occasionally because I genuinely love Bruxie's flavor. Today, on National Girlfriend Day, my man wanted to treat me, and honestly this was the most disappointed I've ever been. The meal was $18, and the two chicken tenders I received were significantly smaller than even the tenders they were serving the last time I visited. I've attached photos because I don't want this to sound exaggerated...they really were that small... This review isn't because the food tastes bad. Quite the opposite. The chicken is still seasoned perfectly, the waffles are still delicious, and that's exactly why this is so frustrating. You have an amazing product. My issue is that the value has steadily declined while the price has continued to increase. Over the years, I've watched the portion go from two chicken breasts, to one chicken breast, to two tenders, to now two noticeably smaller tenders, all while the price has climbed. At this point, it no longer feels like I'm getting an $18 meal. I truly hope management takes reviews like this seriously because I'd love to become a regular customer again. I don't want the recipe to change, I want the value to match the quality. I'd happily pay for Bruxie's amazing food if the portion reflected the price, but right now I leave feeling more disappointed than satisfied. I sincerely hope this is something Bruxie reconsiders, because I'd much rather be writing a five-star review than this one.

    THE ORIGINAL

This Bruxie is located in downtown Brea which is a beautiful location with a free parking structure next to it! There's a lot of surrounding activities like movie theaters, desserts and coffee shops. I had the Original which was actually a really good fried chicken and waffle sando - what really surprised me was the sauce which was a syrup + little spicy kick to it. Wasn't too spicy for me, but something to think about if you can't handle spice. Service was good too - it's an order at the front type restaurant but the waitress stepped outside to ask if there's anything we needed. I just advise to clean the tables after people are done, there's some crumbs left over on the tables outside.

It had been a while since last time I was here. I used to love their Holy chicken which is now named super cluck. I was a bit disappointed because it's not as I remembered it. I remember it tasting better and I couldn't pin point what the difference was. The spiced tots were very spicy and had way too much of the Cajun spice as you can see what was left behind. The tots portion was very generous but too spicy for me. We noticed at the end that you can purchase dipping sauces. I wish they would've told us but maybe next time. The staff were nice as usual and were trying to keep the areas clean. They have restrooms onsite and the sink area outside that's very accessible. It is a fast casual ambiance where you order at the register, you get a number and they bring your order to you. The drinks are self service and unlimited refills. There is a parking structure that's super close to the location behind the movie theatre. I'm giving it a 4 star because I do think it's pricey for what you get and the portion does seem to have shrank a little for the holy chicken.

Food always hits at this spot, can't go wrong with chicken and waffles and surprisingly love the salad here.

The Background: Eggbred is a fast-food establishment with fast-casual aspirations. You pay at the counter but the meals are handcrafted, so there's a wait similar to a sit-down restaurant. Plus, the prices are higher than a Mickey D's -- $9.79 to $13.99 for sandwiches and $9.99 to $17.99 for burritos, for example. The Food: I ordered the Ribeye California Burrito and it was delicious. The beef was tender and moist, the avocado was fresh, and the cilantro crema was tasty. The lemonade was very meh, unfortunately. The Setting: Located in a smallish strip mall on Harbor Boulevard, it has limited free parking in the front. Not a problem on a weekday mid morning, but I imagine it would be quite difficult to find parking at peak times. Inside, it had a cool, modern aesthetic, but it was small, not ideal for mid to large-size groups. Customer Service: My cashier was friendly and quite knowledgeable, providing an eggcellent recommendation (the Ribeye California Burrito). However, the cook staff took awhile making the food (it took about 20 minutes for my order to come out). The Pros and Cons: So, is the food worth the hype and premium prices? Yes and no. It's essentially a fast-food restaurant charging sit-down prices with longish wait times. Your satisfaction level will depend largely on your expectations: if you're thinking it's fast food, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the care they put into the food and freshness of the ingredients. You'll be disappointed if you're expecting a more premium experience to match the premium prices. The Conclusion: I would need to return to try the other dishes on the menu to give a definitive answer, but based on my first experience I didn't feel like I got enough value for the price I paid and the wait I endured. While I would be open to trying their other dishes, I would not return unless I was in the area by chance.
