I visited The Cheesecake Factory today for just appetizers and desserts, and the experience was decent overall. We tried the egg roll sampler, including the cheeseburger eggrolls, 5/5 stars, avocado eggrolls 5/5 stars and Tex Mex egg rolls 6/5 stars and because, I wasn't a fan of the chicken taquitos I opted to double up on the cheese burger eggrolls rolls, the rest was enjoyable enough for a four-star visit. The service was very slow for how un-busy the bar area was, and our drinks weren't kept filled, which took away from a better experience .3/5 stars The desserts were great, especially the peach cheesecake with raspberry drizzle 5/5 stars traditional tiramisu 5/5:stars and key lime cheesecake 5/5 stars but the Fresh Strawberry Shortcake was a huge disappointment because it was strawberries, whipped cream, ice cream their regular biscuits instead of a true shortcake. 2/5 stars. Those two stars are for the strawberries and whipped cream the rest of the dessert was pretty disappointing I'm really glad that I ordered the peach cheesecake because my wife was totally disappointed in the shortcake using biscuits instead basically for traditional Cheesecake Factory desserts. I haven't been to the cheesecake factory in years and after my latest visit I probably won't return. Not because it was a bad experience, but honestly the prices are insane! I remember the days of ordering off the lunch specials menu and my bill being between $25-$35 with drink. On my latest visit I ordered the spicy rigatoni, plus chicken and a cocktail. Unfortunately, the waitress didn't hear me correctly when I asked for the lunch size special. The pasta came out to $25.90 and the passion fruit Margarita was about $16.95. The drink was good, but a little too sweet for my liking. The pasta was decent but I've had better . After tax and tip my meal came out to $56.81! My cousins bill was about the same price. She ordered the fettuccine Alfredo but it was undercooked. The noodles were kind of hard, and the flavor was bland. The quality definitely didn't match the price point. Despite the miscommunication on my order, our waitress was very friendly and did her best. The atmosphere was clean and the cheesecakes still look great. The bakery seemed smaller but still had a nice selection. The restaurant was very clean. The team member who helped us was courteous and friendly. Don't sleep on the Cheesecake Factory! With over 250 items on their menu, so many options can feel overwhelming, but once you find your favorite dish, you will return. Today I was able to try the new katsu bowl. The powers that be at The Cheesecake Factory are definitely keeping up with the trends. This was fresh and light except for the rice but what is a bowl without rice?! I've been to a lot of cheesecake factories being from LA, and have been to the OG location in Beverly Hills , but i'll have to say this one is way better and deserves its appreciation! I came here on Sunday the 5th and was greeted with warm smiles and laughter by the two hosts at the front, the guy was super friendly and got us a great table. Our server was Allison, awesome server, super friendly and down to earth. I ordered the Steak Diane and had a glass of champagne and my husband ordered the steak medallions. cooked to perfection. I liked how quiet it was which i'm assuming was because of the 4th being the day before, but i loved it. to top off the night we ordered a slice of the Linda's Fudge Cake, I dont really like chocolate cake but something about that large slice was calling my name and i don't regret answering haha!! kudos to you cheesecake staff!! doing great! read more

As servers ourselves, we understand the importance of accommodating guests and managing seating, which is why this experience was so disappointing. Our party had five people but only four chairs, so we asked the table next to us if we could borrow one of their extra chairs, and they kindly said yes. We also checked with the hostess beforehand, who told us it was completely okay. Despite both the neighboring table and the hostess approving it, Jessica, the manager, came over and had one of our group members get up and give the chair back, even though there were other open chairs available. The issue was never the chair... it was the way Jessica handled the situation. Her approach felt rude, dismissive, and unnecessarily embarrassing. She took the chair from us and didn't care offer another and said we could stand there. As servers, we know there are far more professional ways to communicate with guests. Thankfully, our server was excellent, but Jessica's behavior left us feeling disrespected and put a negative view on what should have been an enjoyable visit. read more

I ordered the classic burger and added cheddar cheese. I also got a slice of pumpkin cheesecake. The burger was cooked medium-well as requested and the fries had such great flavor that I quickly finished them first! Don't skip out on getting that grilled onion on the burger if you like onions. Been a minute, my usual stop was CCF in Marina Del Rey... Here in Oxnard it's Thursday early evening and not very many people here to eat. Hum...we took a four top out on the patio, todays weather was very pleasant. Our server was right out and we ordered drinks, water for M and I was brave and got the mint iced tea. The CCF menu is still thick, everything and nearly anything one would hope to enjoy. We decided to go to the lighter side of options, they have a separate menu for that too and after much deliberation we settled on a share. Ginger Chicken with quinoa and a diced veggie component for M and I chose the Cobb Salad with a house dressing. The chicken part was somewhat lite I thought. A Couple of side plates and we're eating half n' half, which worked out well. Food was good, nothing amazing but a good value, served up hot and fresh in a timely manner. The service was excellent we had a pro working this section, checking in on us and her other tables when needed. Veteran timing. With the plates cleared and another three hours home, M decided sugar and caffeine was a good idea. I seconded the motion and a double espresso with a nice size slice of raspberry cheesecake followed. There are more dessert selections than Dollie and Betty could have ever made, delicious too. A chain restaurant at the collection that is pretty standard but a good choice when you want something familiar. Cheesecake Factory itself has a huge menu so I do appreciate knowing if you come here, you'll be able to influence even your pickiest eaters into finding something that they can enjoy. This location gets busy but when I come on off hours the service is pretty good and you can get seated right away. The decor matches all CF vibes and this location is clean and spacious. I do like their outdoor patio, especially as it's away from the street. Came in for an early dinner and had wonderful service. Our waitress Sammy was lovely and gave us an A+ experience with good service and friendliness. She was attentive and super on top of things which we appreciated so that we could get in and out with ease. She consistently refilled our drinks and the food was well paced. She also brought the check quickly which we asked for - basically she was on point and I'd definitely sit at her table again. The food and drinks here are good. I loved my peach lemonade. It was super sweet, just how I like it. However almost $7 is a little steep. It's free refills which is nice but that's a lot. For my meal I had a cedar salad add crispy chicken. It was very tasty. Love that the salad is chopped which makes for an easier eating experience. Good flavor on the dressing. Everything I've eaten here over the years has been very good. Cheesecake for dessert is a special treat but they definitely have the best cheesecakes. The reason for the docked star is that I still think the pricing is pretty steep. I guess on one end it's big portions so you can maybe have leftovers but I don't find this spot to be a budget friendly meal as I usually would hope a chain to be. Mom and pop shops I'll gladly pay a little more but at a place cranking out dishes and running a standard business, I don't love the high price point. Tonight for two sodas and two entrees (pasta and salad) the tab was $70 before tip. Yikes! Lesson learned. The food was good and service even better, the atmosphere was comfortable but at those prices I don't think this spot would be on my regular rotation. I suggested going to Cheesecake Factory for my cousin's birthday, and it honestly turned out to be my biggest regret. The manager had an attitude from the start, and it took over an hour for our food to come out. They promised the birthday girl a complimentary cheesecake because of the delay, but when the food finally arrived, it was cold. They only offered to remake her dish, so I boxed mine up. We then had to wait another 30 minutes for her food while sitting there with no bread, no drinks, and no server checking on us. At that point, we decided it would be best to just box everything up and leave. When we tried to speak with the manager about waiting another 30 minutes after already waiting an hour, the response we got was, "I just feel like you guys can't be happy." I've never been the type to leave a review like this, but I'm honestly shocked by how everything was handled. What was supposed to be a nice birthday dinner turned into a frustrating experience, and I'm really disappointed that it ended up ruining her night. I've been here a couple of times, but haven't written a review yet. Most of the time this place is pretty busy, but today we waited for longer than the time they told us it would be. We finally got a table and when we got to our table there were crumbs all over the floor. I let the waitress know, so they send someone to sweep it off. The food was good, my husband and I added a bit of salt to our food but that's just personal preference. Everything came our pretty quickly. I didn't a picture of my kid's plates but my son loved his pizza and my daughter loved her spaghetti and meatball. The portions are large. We didn't order cheese cake this time around, but we love their key lime cheesecake. Had a creamy lemon sauce which wasn't my cup of tea. 4 giant asparagus was nice and buttered. I feel bad for the service staff, because the service was actually quite attentive. My only suggestion to improve service is that I experienced non-work, very loud chatter between the service staff. Other than that, they were very friendly. Now, for the food...it was unacceptably awful. We were there for brunch. The place was only about 15% full, man empty tables. First course took over 20 minutes to receive. Eggs benedict dish was awful. Hollandaise was not hollandaise. The taste was horrible. First off, the service was really great! Never have I ever been at a restaurant where I was thanked by name (after paying) for dining. I had set up my parents, who rarely visit The Cheesecake Factory, with two $40 gift cards so they could enjoy a special night out. They decided to try the Oxnard location. Unfortunately, their experience was disappointing. Their bill came to just under $70. When they tried to pay with the gift cards, they were told they could not be accepted due to the internet being slow. This was never mentioned before or during their meal. The only reason my parents went was because they had these gift cards--now they're told they can't use them? When the manager was called over, he took the cards and said, "You guys can leave," then walked away looking visibly frustrated. My parents, shocked at the unprofessionalism, stayed at the table unsure what was happening. The waitress, who was wonderful and empathetic, even tried to get clarification from the manager again. She returned to say they could just leave. She apologized sincerely, and it was clear she was doing her best. Guests should be informed before ordering if certain payment methods can't be accepted. And no guest should be made to feel like an inconvenience. Either train staff to communicate clearly or take ownership when things go wrong. I'm so disappointed! I've always loved the cheesecake factory, and I ate there with my mother last week and it was really good. I had ordered a Chinese chicken salad to go and it was great! We live 45 minutes away, but I was driving by there today and decided to get food for my whole family. This Chinese chicken salad is half the size of the one I got last week! This is a $20 salad? It is ridiculously small! I decided to try the cucumber salad which was $13+, and it's a tiny cup that's not even filled to the top! This is just cucumbers and lettuce, how could you not at least fill the container? These are the cheapest ingredients you can possibly buy! I was going to get several of these salads for Thanksgiving, but I've changed my mind now! Maybe a different location? I'm going to call them and see if they will do anything about this, especially considering I'm 45 minutes away and cannot pop back over there to get more cucumbers or lettuce. Very disappointed with this place! Yes, the food is not bad, but the service is just terrible! Especially the last time, on April 22, around 3 p.m. First of all, the hostess was not there, and I and other people had to wait for about 10 minutes for the hostess. The restaurant was empty, with only 2-3 tables occupied. They didn't even ask me where I wanted to sit, whether outside or inside. They put me inside, at a tiny, uncomfortable table very close to a table with people. The waitress was also terrible! It was a very long wait! To reiterate, it was daytime, and the restaurant was empty. She took our order, but she didn't bring us any water or bread with butter, which is required while you're waiting for your food. It would be nice if they opened at 11 for early lunch people, but they don't open until 11:30. Every other Cheesecake Factory I tried to frequent over the past year has had a wait, which summarily causes me to walk right out. This wasn't the case here - although there were a line of 20 customers waiting to be seated, we were the first to be seated. What could improve, Yelp queries? The chicken, for starters. I had the "Thai chicken salad" because the description included the word satay. 1. Why is "white meat" the only offering in the chain joints? 2. Where was the peanut sauce. I had to settle for bbq sauce to choke the drier than shoe leather protein down. The greenery was just ok.
