The meatloaf had a really good gravy sauce- definitely gives you old timey diner or grandmas meatloaf ( in a good way) huge portions The bacon bacon burger was cooked good ( would have said well but didn't want the reader to think it was well done, it was a perfect medium) and the meat was tender, you could tell it wasn't a frozen block, but minced fresh. Ashley M was a great server! Came to this location several times and was always given great customer service. This time around our 3rd time Ashley M was our server and she was amazing. Always checked in to make sure everything went well, super friendly. The food was great as usual, jambalaya pasta was a bit on the oily end but it was great. 4/5 stars. It would be better if it was soupy like I was imagining it to be or more saucier. Grilled steak was cooked to perfection, great char and flavor, pretty much melts in your mouth. I have been here a few times: Once for a small gathering during brunch and once again for a very large gathering for Sunday brunch. We had wonderful service BOTH times. This restaurant, along with many others, is located within THE COLLECTION outdoor shopping center. Found parking easy in large lot (there is also curbside parking usually taken) and walked in center of shopping area to enter this restaurant. I am a big Cheesecake factory Cheesecake fan, but the regular menu is overwhelming and honestly most of the time the food is just ok. Ambiance: All Cheesecake Factory Ambiances are about the same. The huge room. The loud music. It's fine. Food: I settled on the BLT sandwich with a side salad. I was feeling the sandwich and wanted something slightly lighter. Why do their salads have the most amount of calories? My sandwich was great and I would review it 5 stars. My side salad did not have any dressing and when I asked for some the waitress told me it did. LOL what? They forgot, it's fine but don't make me feel bad about it. Service: First, they sat 7 people in a 6 person booth and it's not like we were small people or family that sitting super close to each other was cozy. We never got our bread (alas, that bread is so tasty) and everything took a very long time to come out. In all the service was not great. Within the past couple of years, I have been there twice. Once around a year ago, and another last night. A year ago, my mom and I went for our typical lunch date and shared a salad, sandwich and avocado rolls. The avocado rolls were presented to us burnt and the sauce was off. We sent the food back and asked if there was a new cook. They said that there wasn't and bought back the same rolls with the burnt parts still on it. We could not eat them yet again and sent them back. The salad was ok, usually decent. Last night was worse quality. The fries were luke warm with my wings. The buffalo wings were cold. My wife's cuban sandwich was on the wrong bread and was described as "panini pressed" and it was on flat bread. Dissapointing. Also the cheesecake is $15..for one small slice. Crazy. Went to dinner on Wednesday night and it was unprofessional from the first contact. I was having difficulty making a reservation online so I called the front desk and Maribel told me she couldn't make a reservation. She was very rude. I called again and she hung up on me for the 2nd time. Then I called and talked to Chris Boyagian who claimed he was the manager. The only Chris Boyagian we know works for the Yardhouse. Didn't apologize for all of the unprofessionalism that we encountered, but took the reservation. Our dinners came out at different times. We waited at least 20 minutes as they redid one of our orders. Then I ordered a slice of cheesecake and it was given to us in a to go bag. I ordered it to eat at the restaurant. The cheesecake was good but the strawberries tasted fermented like they were old and on their way out. We had 3 different servers and Yojanes was the only good server. I'm not sure how to spell his name but he was a young man that really cared about his clients having an outstanding dining experience. Then our servers kept changing. We would prefer to only have Yojanes as our server in the future because he actually cares about your dining experience. He did an excellent job. We waited over 1 hour and no text I came in to verify and they had my number wrong, but while I was outside they kept saying other parties names. When I came in the front desk girl was rude and said " that maybe they can arrange a table knowing it was their fault ! The Cheesecake Factory in Oxnard is a family favorite.. we have spent 75-100$ easily on DoorDash probably 50 times- there was one time however- I spent almost 90$ on food that arrived burnt- and that's a lot of money to us to just waste.. I called in - a manager ( name unknown) said to contact DoorDash- they would make it right- which in fact they offered 30% refund- not acceptable- I called back Cheesecake Factory- and I am not one to ever complain or have time to rate restaurants... but Riva- a manager was on the clock- I explained my situation and she honestly did Everything possible to make it right... the next day - we ordered from them again and I called because our normal kids spaghetti was not available- she customized it for our kids- and made sure herself everything was perfect- props to the chef and his crew- it was fabulous!!! Every bite and bad reviews come a dime a dozen from unhappy customers- but good reviews are the ones to really take note of- because most people don't have the time to let the world know they were satisfied- they just expect it. I just want to make sure anyone reading these reviews realize sometimes mistakes happen- especially in the food industry- but Riva the manager, her chef, their team made sure to correct the mistake and took the time to care enough about one customer (family) to make things more than right- they made it exceptional!! The food was absolutely amazing here! Obviously with it being Mother's Day, I went all out. We started with the bread and butter, Sizzling Spinach dip and chips, and Dynamite Shrimp with Sriracha dip appetizers to tease the palate. Then our entrées arrived and they were plated so meticulously that you didn't want to disturb the design. The Miso Salmon with Snow Peas and white rice was literally mouth watering. My Granddaughter ordered a Mac and CheeseBurger and it was humongous and cooked perfectly as ordered. The Chicken Avocado club was a healthier choice for my disciplined husband. I work nearby so my coworkers love this place for happy hour and then dinner. It's ok, not my favorite. They have an enormous menu and nothing is memorable but it kills my hunger. The Lemon Raspberry cheesecake is my favorite but you have to eat it there . If you get it to go it's half the size and not packed properly. I once had it fall out the plastic container all over my car. I was a little upset but ate it and didn't call to complain. I know they are trying to keep up with all the orders and busy restaurant. My experience is purely based on a cheesecake and the service during pick up. The pictures attached explain everything really. This was for my son's birthday and we got that for a desert.. and before you assume, no it was not left out in the sun, it was in the fridge the whole time. The problem is that they are selling this as a Lemon "Meringue" Cheesecake, problem is that it is NOT Meringue. Instead it is some type of marshmallow fluff. There is actually zero Meringue in this cheesecake! So placed an order for 4:00pm, was not ready until 5:00, had to wait 30 minutes in the restaurant for them to figure out what to do. Honestly this really turned me off even more to going out. Maybe, start by changing the description and saying what it actually is. Family and I were in Oxnard today for some escape rooms and decided to hit up the Cheesecake Factory for lunch. Overall it was a really good experience, the hostess seated us right away and our server was very friendly. Got our drinks right away and went over the pretty expansive menu. I went for the chicken parm sandwich and I really enjoyed it, lot of flavor. My wife had the Impossible Burger and liked it a lot. Dad loved the fish and chips and mom really like the skinnilicious pasta.
