This iced Americano really hits the spot on a nice sunny lazy day at the beach. A strong bold flavor espresso has to be just the right aroma and the perfect water to ground ratio to be this perfect. I truly appreciate the barista at The Parlor for making this drink! read more

This place advertises Malts so I took my elderly mother who just had knee replacement surgery to get one. A worker rudely told that the are served next door when the sign clearly says malts. We were served malts here at The Parlor 2 weeks ago. We had to go next door which was full of kids and a long line. To be honest The Parlor looks more like a storage area for Coastal Cone. Great place to go if you want to be treated rude and get something to eat from a storage room read more

I wish I would've started my eating adventure here, it's easy and delicious and the entire family enjoyed it. We went here the last day of cmvacay, sad face. This is right next to Coastal Cone, it also serves ice cream and desserts along with burgers, tenders, and fries and the alike. Seating is limited for such a busy spot. Prices were touristy average but our kids loved it all. Should've really just stuck to eating here the entire week, you can't go wrong here. When we go back this will be a very common stop for us!!! read more

Stupidest staff members ever!!! They offer vanilla, chocolate and strawberry shakes. I asked for half strawberry and half chocolate and the lady at the register said "I don't think we can do that but let me go ask the manager" so she goes and asks the manager and the manager says she is correct and they can't do that. I am so sick of spending my money at places like this where the staff members have no clue about customer service. I took my money and went next door to the ice cream shop. After a day out boating, indulge in the western bacon burger and watch the marina folk from the patio. Get yourself an iced mocha too to combat the food coma on your way home. The grilled chicken salad is good too if you're into that sort of thing. read more

We walked into the Parlor after a poor experience at The Greek place next door. We were seated, given bread, and ignored at the Greek spot. At the Parlor we were warmly greeted, food came out quickly and nice and warm, and quality of food was superb! The tri-tip sandwich, fish and chips, and hot dog we collectively ordered did not disappoint. This will be my Ventura Harbor Village food spot from now on when I want to dine with a harbor view along the strip there. read more

The description of another review saying there service was rude and it is a storage closet for next door is completely on point. Went in for a cup of coffee and stood there for over 5 minutes while the employee working there walked past me ignoring me several times. ... the patio view is nice but if you actually want any service, much less real food or good coffee, this is not the place for you. read more

Our family decided to eat at The Parlor during or visit to the harbor the day before Labor Day. They serve a variety of food, drinks, and desserts which are all at a great price. There is seating either inside or outside where there are tables and chairs with umbrellas. We opted to sit outside. My sister ordered the fish burger special and she said it was ok because the fish was too thin so she tasted more of the lettuce and bun but she loved the fries. One of my kids ordered a burger with fries and my son and I ordered the chili dog and a drink. My son loved his burger and fries. The chili dog was absolutely delicious and satisfied the craving I have been having for one. It's a 100% beef hotdog and was topped perfectly! The fries, I can not say enough about the fries. They were soooo good that I could not stop eating them! We will eat here again in the future! read more

Stopped by for a snack while killing time waiting to board the ferry to Channel Islands. Bagel with cream cheese (typical), and my friend was craving french fries (basic). They didn't have much variety when we came here, not sure if it was because we were so early or they're just not stocked. Pastry case was empty, the muffins looked familiar (like Costco) and were individually Seran wrapped. Sodas, juices, and water were not cold. Decent little place to stop by to grab a quick snack. Just disliked the amount of flies inside the restaurant, despite the cool condiment contraption station, the flies still managed to get inside the stuff. read more

I paid then walked out: I ordered a grilled Cheese Sandwich on Wheat... When I saw they cheese, you know those fake food "american" slices, I declined. I want Real Cheese, not fake cheese-food.... She didn't even offer me a refund (hell, she really didn't even understand me when I ordered wheat instead of white)... So I just left. Not going back! read more

Nice stop for lunch after our trip to the beach. The hot dog and fries were fresh and delicious. The vegetarian ciabatta sandwich was made with fresh vegetables. The restaurant follows the guidelines set in place as a result of Corona. The staff was very friendly and courteous. We will definitely be making this our go to place. read more

What a nice little gem in the Ventura County!! The food was good and just what we wanted. Good old American classics without all the frills and good prices! The service was EXCELLENT and even got a visit from the owner; just checking on us. This place has put in COVID protocols with being extra sanitary and practicing social distancing. My son got a milkshilk and says it rivals any N & Out! Probably because it's made with real ice cream from next door! Overall a great place to eat to enjoy good eats while sitting on the harbor. Nothing like a good hotdog by the harbor to bring back some good old nostalgia! I happened to be in the area and had had this place bookmarked for awhile. I was pleasantly surprised with how welcoming and laid back the atmosphere was. Also, a huge perk was that you could smell fresh waffle cones being made for the ice cream parlor come from the grill area. I was greeted by a young man who was very nice and pleasant, I ordered a Chicago dog and some fries and a drink. While the meal sounds pretty meager, it was one of the best meals I've had to bring back my childhood of living around Oxnard. The hotdog was cooked to perfection, my fries were crisp and hot. It was a heavenly experience, and the staff was very friendly. Not to mention the view of the harbor is a huge perk to help relax on a warm summer day. THIS PLACE ABSOLUTELY DESERVES 5 STARS FOR THEIR BREAKFAST. I haven't used Yelp in about three years but I needed to write a review about their sausage egg and cheese breakfast bagel. Literally the best breakfast sandwich I have ever eaten in my life. I took my first bite and didn't say another word until I finished the bagel. This bagel put me in my place, I had one of the best days of my life after eating breakfast here. We decided to go for a walk at the marina just to get some fresh air. Soon after my husband, son and I got hungry. We looked at our options for food and decided to eat at The Parlor. My son and I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. My husband got the tri-tip sandwich. The food was so delicious. It had this amazing taste. We were so happy with our food. Way, way, way disappointed. With all the hype about this place I now know people don't know what is good food. I ordered a Pineapple Burger but on the receipt it was listed as an Aloha Burger. The burger was dry and the size was what you would buy as a frozen patty pack at Costco, Smart N Final, etc. The pineapple had zero taste. The fries were most definitely frozen. Some of the fries had an air gap inside with little content of potato. The 12 oz. cup of runny milk shake was NOT worth $6.50. Carl's Jr and even McDonald's has better milk shakes than this. The Parlor is connected with Coastal Cone so although we ordered food at The Parlor the milk shake was made at Coastal Cone (the cup had Coastal Cone on it). Two burgers, onion rings, French fries, moca blast and a milk shake was $36.95. NOT worth it. Eat elsewhere. There is Five Guys with hand made fresh burgers less than 5 miles away. There is also a Red Robbins which has excellent trendy burgers. read more

As I sit here in the beautiful Ventura harbor, I'm wondering to myself why I just spent 50 dollars on food here. The chicken strips quality was worse than McDonald's, the hotdog was cold and served on a brioche bun. Everything was flavorless and poor quality. I will never return. I should have known something was up when it was completely empty on a Sunday at 12:30. I'll go to Margaritaville next time. Probably would have been the same price but with amazing food. read more

Staff wasn't the nicest. They were out of half of the ingredients in my order and didn't bother to say so until after the fact. The ladies just laughed when I asked about the missing ingredients. They didn't offer a refund nor discount. The items are also overpriced. The view is the best thing about this place. read more

Lovely view of the Ventura Harbor. A peaceful location for a morning breakfast and espresso in the Ventura location. The breakfast menu bagels, turkey, egg and bread and a bacon and egg breakfast bagel. I chose the bacon and egg bagel sandwich and an espresso (Gaviña Gourmet coffee). The breakfast bagel was delivered fresh to my table on the patio. If you're looking for a casual / fast breakfast with a gorgeous of the harbor this is a great place. read more

I accidentally went into this place looking for the ice cream parlor next door. I saw a good looking hot dog on the menu (I love hotdogs). So I fell for it and bought a chili cheese dog and a coke. Total was Around $9. Hot dog was nothing special, but the most frustrating Thing was that they want to charge .75 cents for a refill. These days, I think it's so ridiculous to charge for refills on soda which is one of the cheapest things a restaurant purchases from the whole seller. They also use all plastic silverware, drink ware, as well as plastic plates. This is lazy. Wash your dishes and get with the times. I won't be back. read more

I went here on my birthday and there was a bug in my food. I went to the counter to inform them there was a bug in my food and I would like a new dish. The lady working today took my food behind the counter, and called me back a few seconds later saying "it was just lettuce, not a bug" and handed me my same dish. I saw that it was in fact a bug so I was annoyed with the fact that she was lying. Why take my food to the back and scoop the bug off if you thought it was just lettuce? My son and I went there yesterday after a beautiful walk around the harbor, I had a great BLT and he had a chicago dog. It was awesome, fog and such a great job they have done to fix up the harbor, the main area is beautiful with all the islands in the cement. The Bacon Cheeseburger was so good and delicious. I also love onion rings!!! Glad we came to the parlor and definitely like this place. I would love to watching the boat and people by an outdoor patio, I had a great lunch and hang out with my best friend. I really love antique furniture. We definitely will come back again. My mom is older and the way it was handled wasn't correct. And it's only two places that we put reviews. My mom put one on Google, and I put one on yelp! It's not a lot of accounts. It's two. I wrote this review months ago but then an incident happened where my mom fell and I feel like it was dismissed. The employee that was there that day wasn't attentive when I said my mom fell, she just stared at me with a smirk. I used to love this place but I no longer feel like recommending their cafe now. No apology from the owner or anything. Speaking of, the location is right next to a Quest Diagnostics, where elderly people need labs done. Now my mom's back has been hurting ever since. She can no longer do tasks that she did regularly.

Walking in, I loved the vibe--super cozy couches where you can sit while waiting, plus tables if you want to dine in. They also had beautiful paintings displayed (I believe for sale), which made the space feel really unique and fun to look around. I started with my usual: a sugar-free vanilla oat latte. The spicy honey drizzle with fresh bacon took it to another level. The Seward sandwich was just okay--very plain (egg, ham, tomato, onion), nothing special. The breakfast burrito though... sooo good. Paired with their serrano sauce, it hit every time. I'd 100% order that again. Service-wise, they only had one girl working the front--taking orders and making drinks--and she handled it so well. Super sweet and did an amazing job. Overall, not a bad experience at all--but I'd come back for the food and smoothies, not the coffee.
