Absolutely perfection. My mom ordered the chilaquiles and immediately said they tasted like they were made with love -- and honestly, so was that Michelada The food portions here? Massive. The "you're definitely leaving full and possibly needing a nap" kind of massive. Every plate passing by looked delicious, and everything we tried tasted even better. And please -- don't forget the beignets. Pillowy, warm, dusted in sweetness... they're the kind of treat that makes the world slow down for a moment. There is nothing on this menu that hits wrong. If you are a Ventura local, a mother or have babies/kids, please do not support! It was sunny afternoon around 5:30 pm. There were only 3 tables occupied when we (my 2 year old and 2 month old) got there. It took about 10-15 mins to get seated. And the big waiter that sat us did NOT have spatial awareness. He knocked my toddler over with a chair who was trying to give him space when he was seating us. She fell hard on her head. The waiter did not even flinch/look at her to see if she's okay. He simply just stepped away like nothing happened. He sat us on the tiniest first seat on the right next to the window. This space is good for one person. Not for a mom with a big baby seat carrier and a toddler. They still crammed us there. There was no shade. The sun was hitting the newborn directly on the face. It is impossible to move and assist both kids. I saw a couple who came in after us got seated to a bigger booth. They had so much room. They also got shade. By 6:00 pm, the restaurant started getting packed. They sat a table of 10. The waiter who was friends with this party if 10 took their order then came to us later. We were starving. And it took so much power to just get out of the door with a newborn and toddler. But the waiter was too busy chatting with his friends (big party table). The big table got their food and drinks. We got ours 20 mins later. By the time we were halfway done, we drank all of our waters. We were thirsty. I was trying to give an eye contact to both my waiter and the waiter that sat us. The waiter that sat us kept giving me an eye contact the whole time but never came over. He ignored me. The only time someone came over was when a waitress (not our server) gave us our check. We asked for water. The waiter that gave me that eye contact all day but never helped finally came over to give us a water refill. There are way better places in Ventura that has consistently good service and food. This place is a no go. Huge disappointment. It doesn't feel like the staff carries that Ventura vibe. Not a nice crew. Stay away. read more

Staff is so friendly, the water glass is always filled. any special requests are made easily. The room is busy but it works well, the area is open and welcoming. This review is long overdue since I've been to Two Trees a couple of times now. It's a nice restaurant with plenty of decent food options that can satisfy everyone's craving. Love their outdoor patio; it's perfectly spacious for my toddler's high chair without bugging the next table over. On our recent visit, we tried a variety of dishes. All were pretty good and enjoyed by everyone. I love their French fries and fried zucchini. They're always crispy and fresh. Two Trees also has my favorite michelada I've tried in VTA. They have great happy hour so don't miss out on that. Service has always been great! Very attentive and friendly. Restaurant is in a shopping center so there's always plenty of parking. read more

The wait wasn't too long for a Saturday. We were seated fairly quickly. Some of the tables in the middle felt like it was very tight quarters but we could still have our conversations. The specials almost had me, that strawberry old fashioned was tempting but my sister said the michelada was the way to go. Frozen goblet glasses rimmed with tangy flavor. This was my first michelada experience and this was a great place for it. The beignets are cute and tiny and full of flavor with the dusting of cinnamon sugar. Perfect for sharing. We got seated promptly, the place was packed people chatting, football game was playing. We were helped with our drinks right away. Then we ordered our meal it took about 10 minutes to arrive with our meal. No bad at all understanding it was busy. Waiter was name David good guy! We gave him a 9 of 10 for his service. I came here with a friend of mine, and we're the kind of pair that, when we get together over food, we can talk for HOURS. I do sometimes feel bad for restaurant staff who want us to get the heck out, but Two Trees never made us feel rushed or unwelcome. We had a short wait for a table, then were seated in a comfortable booth. We ordered and chatted, and both enjoyed our food. The omelets are quite big, and my friend took some of hers home. New and improved interior. It's nice and bright. Clean looking. They cut down the wall separating the two rooms, it looks nice. I came early Thursday morning. Unfortunately they just seat 18 high school students from a cross country team. Very well behaved teens. We can all be very proud of them! I gave only 4 star today not because of the taste of the food (it was excellent) but because it arrived ice cold. They were busy with the other table and I wasn't able to let them know. The entire restaurant was freezing cold. This isn't unusual for a misty Ventura day, but no effort was made to warm it up. Overall, a really good breakfast, locally owned restaurant. Food is consistently good. Service can be spotty, but I think we need to give them a pass for today. read more

This was my first time here very cute place. We were waiting for 15 minutes to be seated. We placed our order. We were a party of four. My husband order the Chilaquiles with Chicharron , so good. I ordered the chicken fried steak with gravy, eggs, and hash browns. My friends also ordered their plates. We ordered a couple of Michelada's. Very tasty our waiter was David. Very nice man very pleasant happy funny and very attentive. All in all everything was fun Tasty and pleasant ! I highly recommend this little spot and I hope you all get David. Great breakfast spot. We had boot their mimosas. Today we specifically came for happy hr. Pass on the Margarita and get the strawberry basil martini it's delicious. The ambiance is great, always busy, but feels spacious enough. The service is always top notch. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The food is decent. I wouldn't say it is the best in Ventura or anything, but it does the job. I do find it to be slightly pricey for what you're getting. The same price as the ribeye meal but with more overall bang for the buck, I walked away stuffed! The staff always on point and there's a little something for everyone. The service is not great . The staff aren't very pleasant. The Atmosphere is loud, even when it's not crowded. They have a happy hour menu though the staff don't offer it and they add up the bill incorrectly. The food is typically good, I ordered seafood and partner got tritip, But it ruins my experience when the service is apathetic at best. read more

The only challenge now that we have a baby is that there's no changing station in the restroom, which makes things a little difficult for parents. Came in for my birthday with a group of friends. Today service was the worse that I ever experience at Two Trees. I love this place but three groups sat down got their order taken before our group of 5 got their order taken. Those group got their food that's when I flagged down the waiter around 35 minutes later. The waiter came and said he had a big group in the back. But he came around to grab their orders before even acknowledging our table. We never received our mimosas until I had to ask for them 50 minutes later. The bartender came around told us that the printer wasn't working. We finally got our food. The food was delicious like always. We were checking out and our waiter told us that their machine automatically puts a 20% tip. That was icing on the cake for my experience today. read more

The beer can come in giant goblets which are so fun; the interior is bright and lively, (although that does lead to a wait and a little cramped accommodations) it's still worth it! Two trees has done It again! My go to order is the two trees rancheros. The service is always fast! Even with a line out the door we only waited 15 minutes for a seat. The ambiance makes you feel right at home with everyone chatting and watching sports on their big screen TVs. Me and my wife have been coming here since 2021. She had a smash burger for the first time but I didn't get a picture because It was THAT good! the rancheros were perfect, super flavorful, and the potatoes are always my favorite with a side of sour cream.
