Went for lunch with friends and had the prefixed menu. The restaurant was bright and clean. Jamie seated use and was very cordial especially as we needed separate checks. Came in on a Monday night and were a little hesitant at first--the parking lot was empty--but that turned out to be completely misleading. We ended up having a great meal. The Bolognese was excellent--rich, well-balanced, and definitely worth ordering with their homemade pappardelle. Easily the highlight of the meal. Service was friendly and attentive, and the quiet atmosphere actually made for a really relaxed dining experience. Also worth mentioning: Mike at the bar makes a fantastic whiskey sour. There was a lunch special that was a good offering. 3 people in our party had food restrictions and the order was mixed up, both the soups and the salads. I ordered from this place via Uber Eats. I got lobster raviolis and their pistachio cheesecake. The food I ordered was very good but 16 dollars for a thin slice of cheesecake doesn't seem worth it again. Also, 5 raviolis for 32 bucks seems crazy and not a decent bang for your buck. Excellent italian dishes, eg my wife said the eggplant parm. starter was the best she's had in ages, as was the beef in her baby back ribs. Everything tasted freshly cooked, not warmed up. The waiter, Marivon, was great: courteous, attentive, friendly but not intrusive. Trying this new local restaurant PARKING - ample strip mall parking available ENTRANCE - the waitress host was terrific and super nice AMBIANCE - its new so very nice and clean. It's a modern look not a particularly Italian vibe but very nice They have some TV screens for sports MENU - they have both a lunch and dinner one available. We chose from the dinner. Appetizers are in the $16-$20 range. Pasta range $23 - $34. Main meats are $25 -$39 VINO - I tried the cabernet which was good. They have a nice selection that covers all takers SEATING - plenty of outdoor spots. Lots of inside high chair seating and plenty of tables. One note the chairs for the high top aren't particularly comfortable APPETIZERS - I tried the chili wings, yes wings in an Italian restaurant LOL. These were great, very moist. I did order the hot chili but got buffalo, I didn't send back because I was debating between the 2. ENTREES - wife had penne al a vodka and the pasta needed more cook time. The sauce however was very good. I had my comparison dish. Linguini a La vongole and I was disappointed and pleased at the same time. The clams were great ie long island vs. manilla. The pasta and broth lacked flavor and taste. SIDES - for comparison ordered the broccoli rape, it was bitter and over cooked. It also came late out of kitchen so I assume it was missed in the order Price - pretty much $$$$$ OVERALL - this is a hard one for me. The service and ambiance and personnel are clearly 5 star. Antonio's nails it. Spacious dining room, a better than average wine selection, and portion sizes that satisfy in quality and quantity. Their Osso Buco was top shelf; the pork is served up so tender it literally falls off the bone. My party of 6 stopped in on a quiet Saturday for lunch and the service was excellent. The establishment works for both the casual get together with family & friends as well as the date night crowd. Plenty of outdoor seating for the cooler shoulder months. I really wanted to like this place . I was hoping for a good restaurant to come to Trumbull. I had the chicken parm lunch special. It looked fantastic but unfortunately it wasn't. I was there around 2;30 and it wasn't crowded. The chicken was made prior to my order. Perhaps a day or two earlier. It was pounded thin and was stringy and wasn't freshly made . I understand the need to have food prepared beforehand so you can get people in and out during the busy lunchtime rush. But again it appeared that this chicken was reheated. And not from earlier in the day but possibly days ago. . And the pasta sauce was a little salty. Not bad but it could use a little less salt. I think I'm gonna give them another chance and try lunch again. I'm hoping the food will be better and if so, I'm definitely going to amend this review. read more

We went with friends and luckily had a reservation because it was packed. Our waitress was friendly and very efficient and everything we ordered was top notch! The salmon was good and a very nice portion ( had to get a doggie bag) and the chicken parm was very good with some pasta. I hesitated on the linguini with clam sauce but it was excellent and well spiced. We ordered a limoncello cake that was very light and tasty. Definitely a repeat restaurant. read more

My family loves Antonio's Italian Kitchen! We had our daughter and son in law's engagement party there recently. Moira was fantastic planning the party. Sammy and the rest of the staff were fantastic setting up and serving during the party. The restaurant is beautiful, the Vodka Penne and Caesar Salad were delicious, and the wine and Prosecco were a big hit. We had 32 people and everything went perfectly. Definitely going back and highly recommend it. read more

The menu is difficult at best. The food we had underwhelmed. Lovely ambience and no complaints with service. We could not get into the other two busy local restaurants and this restaurant was pretty empty. If they don't react to true reviews like this they will be gone. What's the objective of the restaurant industry? Much like other businesses, to exceed expectations and for the most part it's about food, service, atmosphere ,location, accessibility and pricing . Having been in the restaurant business for a lifetime for me service is my top priority. It's the personnel that makes me want to come back again and Antonio's easily accomplishes that. My prior five star was mostly thanks to my server Jamie, her demeanor, knowledge, poise, and welcoming, respectful cheerful approach was more than enough to make my day special.. And it wasn't just her service to me but our command of the dining room . So for today, our server was Coco,, we were greeted with a cheerful smile/disposition and she maintained that through the dining experience and did an amazing job of not spilling anything considering she had a spring in her step. These two young ladies are not only passionate about making a statement with their craft but clearly take pleasure doing so.Additionally, I find servers have no restraint for the use of the words "you guys". in most restaurants starting with the greeting The unconscious repetitiveness is used roughly 10 times. I can understand it in a sports bar but that's about it. As I was formulating this review, it came to me those words never surfaced. My compliments to the bartender/server, Coco and her sidekick Jamie. As a side note, the music was quite nice, and the volume was a compliment of all experience. Thank goodness for Antonio's. This is pretty much the only restaurant we go to know. Excellent food, excellent service, consistent quality. Sam is a wonderful waitress, Sawyer will refill your water promptly. Parpadelle is homemade, osso bucco is just right. Burrata is so creamy. We've been looking for a place with an intimate dining atmosphere for date night for so long. Antonio's nails it with a break from all the open concept bar/restaurant places out there. There's a nice small bar separate from the seating area. This is great for the times you just want to go for casual drinks and a bite. For date night or special occasions it was so nice to walk into a place that was cozy, actually has tablecloths lol (I know crazy but I miss that in a nice restaurant- seems so lacking nowadays!) there's Italian music in the air but not too loud. Even though the tables can be a bit close somehow you don't feel as if you're sharing your conversation with the table next to you. I'm not sure how they do it but they do. The food-- I've been a couple times now and it does not disappoint. Truly a gem in a town whose restaurants mainly consist of wide open modern spaces. If you're looking for a place with a strong Italian vibe in food and atmosphere - you need to give it a try. read more
