Food: 5/5 - You know what, after eating at Last Stop, this was a pretty good meal. Even by itself, the chicken and fries are solid. - Fry sauce reminds me of Cane's sauce, but it's pretty good as is. - Also, I tried to get Chili Cheese Fries just to compare to Last Stop, but they unfortunately were out of chili. After a long flight I was starved!! So glad I stopped in. Had the chicken sandwich and fries. The fries were perfect! They're thin, which I didn't mind and perfectly crunchy and flavorful! They're sauces are soooo good!! Had the honey garlic and it was delicious, perfect sticky mess on my fingers that I didn't mind at all! The chicken wings are crunchy - which is a must! I will never go back to the chicken shack in Boulder city. Every time I go there, my order is screwed up every time. I went back after not going there for two months and it's the same thing over and over again. The lady at the front counter that takes your order does not listen to what she wants. The service was good, we had ordered our food and waited in the car for it. Once the food was done surprisingly one of the workers working came out and brought it to our car! The service is good however the food wasn't. The chicken was very flavorless, if you've ever tried canes it kind of compares to that however it is harder and crispy which isn't too bad if your dipping it in sauce anyways. The fries are absolutely horrible. I had ordered cheese fries, i'm thinking they'll have maybe a slice of cheese or cheese sauce but instead t's cold shredded cheese. They tasted like someone poured grease on them as sauce. They where filled with so much grease that when you bite into a fry, it wouldn't even crunch, instead it was grease popping into your mouth like a gusher. I wouldn't go ever again. I was so dissapointed after this Chicken Shack visit. I ordered 5 fingers and the Mac and cheese. Been going to chicken shack for years now. The Mac and cheese was absolutely disgusting. It feels like a blow dryer inside that place. The sauces are HALF the size of any of the chicken snacks I've been to (3 different ones in Las Vegas, not too far away). Saw this place while passing through Boulder City on a camping trip to Lake Mead. My significant other and I were hungry and decided to stop here for a quick bite before heading to our camp spot. Although I had seen so many good reviews and an almost five star rating, I still wasn't sure what to expect (food wise). This location was conveniently right across Highway 93 from our camping spot. The had fun decor with license plates on the wall, funny celebrity quotes, and photos of dogs on the walls. This place is very popular and stays busy most of the time. The staff was friendly and attentive. You can get your own fountain drinks in the dining area, and can sit inside or outside. We came over for dinner and ordered the Three Chicken Tenders meal with a side of french fries. You can choose one dipping sauce with the meal and can buy others. I got a side of teriyaki and blue cheese. The chicken was moist and tender with a crispy tempura-like breading. The downside is that it seemed to have a texture to it that I didn't really care for. I was kind of "waxy" upon chewing that made it difficult for me to eat. It wasn't a bad flavor but texture only. We went today after 2 years of not going and it was the biggest let down ever. $167 for 50 wings 3 orders of fries and 6 drinks plus 3 chicken fingers. Writing a up to date review on Chicken Shack as it seemingly got new management and fixed the food. It was really good when I had oh my lord. Nice, crispy, and dry as fries and chicken should be. Lil sad about each store seeming mixed on coupon taking (This one here not taking the coupons, but there is a decent reason I believe), though I understand it as for some stores the coupons basically take revenue. Sometimes a coupon is too good. Though with the quality of the food sky rocketing to my favorite stop, it's still very much worth the $12.99 (plus tax and tips. My usual is the number 2 combo). I must have driven by here maybe 20-30 times over the years and I had always wanted to give it a try but I didn't want to sit outside or in my car. It looks like an old Sonics. If I would have known they had a dining area I would have stopped much sooner! I discovered it on Yelp! When you first walk in you will notice the heat. No not from the hot sauce! No AC! They had a swamp cooler in the corner but it wasn't helping. I stopped for a second and contemplated walking out but I thought to myself "I'm already here". I honestly don't mind being warm but not while I eat. I like to relax while I'm chowing down (unless I'm at boot camp. They want you to eat it now and taste it later!). They have five tables and lucky for me they wiped down the one next to the swamp cooler! Score! Yea right! I didn't even think it was on. I placed my had near the vents and it felt cooler. Maybe it didn't have water or it's just to hot for it to handle. I ordered the number four. Three wings and three fingers. When my food arrived it was brought to my table with the utensils that I would need. Talk about service! First I tried the fries. Shoe string fries arrive hot and crispy. No hints of old oil. In fact they didn't even need ketchup. The wings were lightly coated with a batter. The batter didn't have much flavoring so moved in to get a good bite. Hot sauce was ok. Nothing to write home about. I was disappointed because of the 4.5 rating. I moved on to the fingers. They were moist and crispy but again the hot sauce was ok. Maybe I should have tried another flavor but I like my food hot. Food portions was crazy. I thought I would be able to eat it all but I failed. I think I received 4-5 chicken fingers! Now your probably asking yourself why would you order chili, well simple answer cause its gems like this happen when u least expect it. And that was damn good chili ! Chili is definitely a worthy item to order, its meaty & full of beans and topped with onions & sour cream. As for the chicken portion of my order well this place didn't disappoint me on the bird. Wings were moist and battered with some really tasty spicing. I got mine plain, however you have many flavor options to add to the mix. These strips were like no ordinary strips, they were sensational all white meat pieces and really thick ( two finger sized ). You really didn't need sauce but what the heck I used anyways. Terrible experience, 2nd time in a few months and we have a 2 strike rule in this day and age of expensive take away food. We paid $26 for 6 bone-in wings, 1 chicken tender sandwich and a fry/drink. Wings had almost no sauce on them, they were soggy as if they were hours old and were simply reheated, and the tenders in the sandwich had *zero* flavor and thats not an exaggeration ... I'm pretty sure they forgot to add seasoning to the batter mix as it tasted like I was eating grilled chicken. We used to drive from Vegas to Boulder City to eat at the original Chicken Shack as it was so much better than the others in town, but unfortunately like most things after covid, the prices shot up and the quality dropped right now. read more

This is an OKAY place. It's not something really worth it's price and not all workers wear their mask which is a safety risk... the restaurant is surrounded with License Plates! Looks okay.
